My open table reservation requests were fulfilled and we had a great server with Liz. . Happy hour was bustling and the music was great. We dine often at Eddie V"s and may have been taking things for granted as our familiarity with the menu is extensive. Liz suggested the Sea Bass special entree and we accepted the offer. it was awesome! We ordered the Kung Pao Calamari which was excellent-definitely a treat that we will rave about and come back for again. Our entrees: Halibut, Parmesan Crusted Sole, and Grouper were well prepared, attractively presented, and delectably amazing. We ordered Brussels Sprouts topped with caramelized onions and the au gratin potatoes which melted in our mouths. There were a couple of buissel sprouts that were undercooked but certainly forgivable. Our dessert choice(on the house) was Banana Foster Cake with Butter Pecan ice cream. I reserved on Open Table a couple days in advance and received a call confirming our reservation the day of from Eddie V's. I let them know it was my wife' B-Day and they gave her first class attention including a card signed by the staff waiting on our table. Our waiter Rico and the entire staff and service was outstanding as was the food and dessert! The steak was tender, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wine list was very impressive and was reasonable in price. To end the night perfectly we finished on a Hot Godiva Chocolate Cake with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and a Bananas Foster with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream. We dined in the restaurant, but one can also eat in the bar area. The two areas are well enough separated that the bar noise doesn't detract from the dining atmosphere. The service was flawless in every respect. Waiters and staff paid close attention to our needs without being intrusive. Every person on the staff was friendly and eager to assist. The food was exceptional--attractively prepared, and served hot. I had the Ahi tuna while my partner had the swordfish; we exchanged small portions so we could enjoy both entrees. We had the Seafood Tower which is a great thing to have when you have a large group. The seafood is incredibly fresh and prepared flawlessly. Several of our group had steaks and others had various kinds of fish. Nobody had anything negative to say about any aspect of the experience.
Last week, my wife and I went back for our 27th anniversary. It was another memorable experience. The waiters are attentive without being overbearing and everything was delicious. Our favorites were the lightly fried oysters (from the appetizer menu) and the crab fried rice.
