They had kid-friendly menu options, placed us in a round corner booth and the wait staff worked well with my family. I am going to request him every time we dine there from now on. Only downside was that my husband's steak was more medium rare than medium. He didn't notice when he initially cut into it. The flavor was fabulous. Everyone that had steak just raved about it. Our waiter, Kenny, was wonderful. We decided to splurge on lobster and were both disappointed in the undercooked lobster. Neither of us wanted to bring a negative to the table by sending the tails back and didn't mention the problem until we were driving home. The steak was tender, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wine list was very impressive and was reasonable in price. To end the night perfectly we finished on a Hot Godiva Chocolate Cake with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and a Bananas Foster with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream. We dined in the restaurant, but one can also eat in the bar area. The two areas are well enough separated that the bar noise doesn't detract from the dining atmosphere. The service was flawless in every respect. Waiters and staff paid close attention to our needs without being intrusive. Every person on the staff was friendly and eager to assist. The food was exceptional--attractively prepared, and served hot. I had the Ahi tuna while my partner had the swordfish; we exchanged small portions so we could enjoy both entrees. We had the Seafood Tower which is a great thing to have when you have a large group. The seafood is incredibly fresh and prepared flawlessly. Several of our group had steaks and others had various kinds of fish. Nobody had anything negative to say about any aspect of the experience.
Last week, my wife and I went back for our 27th anniversary. It was another memorable experience. The waiters are attentive without being overbearing and everything was delicious. Our favorites were the lightly fried oysters (from the appetizer menu) and the crab fried rice. The food is sensational but expensive, and the service was excellent. The wines are way over priced, forcing me to pick lesser quality to stay within a reasonable price point. Our experience Saturday night at Eddie V's was perfect from the moment we were greeted to the moment we left. The food and service were WELL worth the cost. My wife was extremely happy which makes me happy. We had the Carpacio, lump crab w/avacado and Buffalo Mozz Tomato for apps. All amazing! She had the Scallops and Mac and Cheese (best she has ever tasted) and I had the swordfish w/saut. spinach - AMAZING! From the moment we arrived to the departure, we felt pampered (without the pretension) and attended to (without hovering). Each item was among the best we'd ever had and one in particular (the dry-aged rib eye) was THE BEST cut of meat, prepared exquisitely. The crab cakes are amazing - huge pieces of lump crab with a simple panko "breading." The wild mushroom with warmed goat cheese salad was ten times better than the description on the menu could do justice. The truffle mac & cheese...mmm...and then the sauteed spinach and asparagus... it was all just divine. We were celebrating our 15 year anniversary. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by staff with Happy A. Most introduced themselves. Food was terrific, perfectly prepared. The highlight was a complementary dessert at the end of the meal.
Even the VALET knew of our celebration. A great evening. Great restaurant !!! Our waiter, Matt, was friendly, efficient and accurate in describing what to expect with our fish choices. the wine was good and affordable. The fish was cooked to perfection, as were the brussel sprouts (which are difficult to get right, in my opinion). The timing was excellent. The Godiva chocolate cake was warm and rich. It was a treat to be able to choose the dessert, because some restaurants only have one choice for a special occasion complimentary dessert.
