I took my mother for a late Mother's Day dinner and we loved it. I had the chef's special Red Snapper with crusted shrimp and it was the best fish I have ever tasted. Evrything was seasoned to perfection. The Banana Foster was especially tasty and warm. I'm not a fan of pecans, the the pairing of the butter pecan ice cream was heavenly. in the bar. the waitress was really heplful and very efficent. Our table was ready and on time and decorated perfectly.
Ray was our waiter and was outstanding. The food was cooked perfectly could not have been better. All of the staff
was friendly and informative. This was one of the best dining experience we have had. I recommed Eddie V's to anyone.

Of the three high end restaurants we visited over the five days we were in town, this by far would be the top of the list. We walked in to hear a great jazz group playing some soft contemporary jazz, we were seated immediately and the waiters were there immediately with menus and asking our preference on drinks. I had a great 16 Oz strip Pittsburgh Style and my wife had Grouper that was prepared to perfection. This has to be one of the top 5 restaurants in the Dallas metro area. Not mentioning the price of seabass is borderline deceptive in my book, but it's quality and preparation make up for the sticker shock. Excellent dinner and service in a nice setting with live jazz in the bar area that does not upset noise levels in the dining area. Started with the Stone crab claws special (a bit pricey at $16 for 4 claws) but very nice. A bottle of nicely balanced MacMurray Pinot Noit. Taylor, our attentive waiter, recommended the surf and turf for my date (filet mignon with 3 large shrimp) and I asked for the pecan encrusted halibut special but simply grilled without the "encrusting"... came out excellent! Sides were amazing as well... broccolini was good, but the crab fried rice is to die for! Topped everything off by sharing the wonderful banana flombee thing with butter nut ice cream and whipped cream! Everyone ordered fish and thoroughly enjoyed it! We got the mac-n-cheese per the server's suggestions and couldn't have been more pleased! It's the best I've had at any restaurant in Dallas. We also orderd the twice baked potato which was OK and the suger snap peas which were crispy and delicious! For dessert, we had the banana foster which was the best I had ever eaten and the blackberry cobbler.
