  • "Made reservations for our 18th anniversary and from the minute that we arrived, the experience was amazing. We arrived 45 minutes early and were escorted to the bar area where live music was taking place. The two bartenders greeted us and made us feel right at home. Within 30 minutes, our table was ready. They sat us in a nice corner overlooking the live music and our table had rose pedals with a lovely card wishing us a "Happy Anniversary". We sat down and shortly thereafter, our waiter, Toby appeared and delivered the most remarkable service. Highly recommend him as your waiter. Dave, one of the managers also stopped by to welcome us to the restaurant. Overall, I would highly recommend Eddie V's and be sure to ask for Toby."

  • "While we had stellar service and a wonderful waiter - the steak I requested to be medium well was practically rare. Right when they brough out our food the waiter asked us all to check our steaks to ensure they were made to our liking but he instantly utilized his flash light on mine to ask if I approved. He did this knowing my steak was extremely undercooked, it's surprising to me they would even serve it in that state knowing someone asked for the opposite. They took it back and tried to cook it more but it caused it to lose practically all the flavor and still was medium at best. It was my first and last trip to Eddie V's."

  • "This was a dining experience...not just dinner out. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great. They were able to accomodate a change in our group at the last minute when we grew from 2 to 5. Presentation of food was interesting and unusual. Portions were generous and there were leftovers for lunch the next day! It is not an inexpensive restaurant so it is good for special occasions."

  • "I have been to Eddie V's twice previously for restaurant week and had good experiences, so maybe my expectations were too high. I had the lemon sole, truffle mac and cheese, and bananas foster cake. The fish was properly cooked, but the sauce is the only thing that imparted much flavor to it and there wasn't enough of it. However, the grape tomatoes on top were amazingly flavorful; I could've eaten a plate full of those. The truffle mac and cheese was excellent. The bananas foster cake had a bit too much of an alcohol flavor and not enough banana for my taste. I felt like the price didn't justify the lacking main dish and it was restaurant week, so we were getting a deal. I definitely wouldn't pay full price."

We had a great meal and a great night out. My wife raves about the restaurant, the food and the ambiance. We had a great table and look forward to going back soon with friends. The only negative was our waiter."

  • "I joined a few friends for our first visit to Eddie V's, for Restaurant Week. The service became a major issue about the time we let our server know we'd be ordering from the Restaurant Week menu. He went from being friendly and attentive to being conspicuously absent and providing very cold, abrupt service from that point. It's not as if he suddenly became busy, as we were there for a very early meal. That said, this seems to have been a problem with one server, as other Restaurant Week tables nearby were receiving great service. As far as the food, everything was prepared perfectly, and was quite good. However, the service issues overshadowed our visit and really kept us all from enjoying the meal. A second visit is unlikely."

  • "The only issue I had, was where we were sitting, we overheard alot of the wait staffs conversation. They stood right behind our table, and to the left.Our waitress was training someone, so I was able to hear thier whole conversation as well as other conversations between other wait staff. which at times prevented me from being able to hear the conversation going on at my table."

  • "Wasn't expecting a live trio in the restaurant. As far away as my table was, could hardly hear my sister speak or the wait staff. My sister & I were given similar, but different menus causing confusion. Swordfish & sole special were delicious, as well as the lobster bisque. Asked questions about several chardonnays & waitress gave opinions, recommending one off the menu. Was promised they wanted my opinion & that if I didn't like it, I would not be charged and could pick another. Turns out, we did not like the one which was strongly pushed and made my original selection, sending the opened bottle back. I wasn't charged, but felt like this put a strain on the rest of the evening. I would not return to pay their prices due to noise levels."

  • "We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Eddie V's. The food was outstanding as well as the service. They do not miss any details. My husband had oysters as an appetizer & said they were among the best he has had. I had the lobster & shrimp bisque which was very good. He had the sea bass special of the night & I had the salmon. Both were excellent. Be sure to get the truffle Mac & cheese as a side. The staff gave us their chocolate molten cake as a gift & it was to die for. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion this is the place to go."

  • "Arrived early so we can listen to live music and enjoy great wine and Lobster Tacos! At dinner, we had a waiter who was a lot of fun and incredibly knowledgeable around every entree and wine! My wife had the Red Fish and scallops and I had Surf and Turf (the filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly!) We finished with a great table side Bananas Flambe to finish a great night!"

  • "My husband and I dined here for our 1st anniversary. He proposed at this restaurant and funny enough, we had the same wonderful waiter. The seafood salad split was so good, and we had very good steaks. We both got filets. The crème brulee was good too, but my all time favorite here has always been the Godiva chocolate cake."

  • "The first meal we had at Eddie's was unbelievably good. We were eager to get back. However, this visit did not go so well. Service was impeccable and paced to our liking (we were there to socialize and did not want to be rushed). The food was not as good. The steak tartare had a very very strange tasted (way too much worcestershire?) that made it inedible. And my fish was raw in the middle. The calamari was to die for, so be sure to order that. The restaurant did remove the fish from our bill, which was the right thing to do, but still. I expect much better from this place. It might be a while before we return."

  • "Eddie V's is great for a couple or groups, even business dinners. We celebrated our anniversary at Eddie V's. Rose petals on the table a nice touch! Wait staff knowledgable and helpful with suggestions. We shared the lobster tacos, which are excellent (these should be an entree item)! The swordfish was very good, but mine arrived a undercooked. Not a problem, it was replaced with perfectly cooked swordfish. The manager came by to check on meal (after sending back the fish) and we were treated to a banana cake for desert. Could not have been nicer. We recommend Eddie V's both here in Dallas and there other locations. Always a great evening!"

  • "Jonathan was a great help with wine and food. The Filet Mignon is the best I have found in Dallas -- it is ALWAYS perfect. Several friends and I have determined that their Bananas Foster is the best dessert we have ever had anywhere. I really like Eddie V's because they always greet me by name, remember details and preferences, and distinguish themselves every single time."
