I had surf n turf w/filet mignon and honey got just the filet. Perfect grill but not so good in the food quality it seemed. The atmosphere in the bar is great, with the piano player and baristas shaking out martinis for any taste. The dining room is a pleasure, with starched table cloths and all the polish of a Marine band.
The service is always top-notch, with a flurry of activity around you when the food comes, and a subsequent ballet of synchronized plates laid on the table.
Food ? Outstanding !!!
Only issue is that the dining room can get a little loud, making it tough to have conversations without raising your voice. Especially the lobster tacos stand out as a must try. Probably the best seafood tacos I have ever had. Only minor thing to mention is that the service at times felt a little rushed, leaving you little time to linger over a course despite that the restaurant wasn't packed.

Our server was energetic, engaging, and a fellow foodie - as we soon discovered. We traded our favorite Houston spots with almost every course, and he didn't seem to mind that we essentially closed the restaurant down. Always feel bad about doing that, but we didn't linger after our meal was finished. I found that they added red bell pepper to their crab cake - unfortunate for me, as I don't care for it because it overpowers the delicate crab flavor. My scallops with brown butter and citrus were expertly prepared. The au gratin potatoes were tasty, but the twice-baked potato that our friend had looked amazing.
