  • "You can't go wrong with Eddie Papa's. It's a great way to treat yourself for any occasion. The food is incredible, the service is friendly and they bend over backwards to accommodate your every need/want. You can't help but feel spoiled here. It's fancy and fun; without being pretentious."

  • "I ordered a Lobster rolls and requested a small side strawberry salad to replace fries. They charged an extra $4 for the replacement salad, it was good and the Lobster roll tasty. They also have a nice touch of cotton candy at the meals end. The manager said hi and remembered my name as I left. Over all a great tasty food."

  • "Double dated with friends for dinner Friday night and dining here was a first for all of us. The appetizer was great (pulled pork quesadilla), the crab bisque was excellent, and entrees were also all very well prepared. The service lacked maturity (water brought to two not four, drink orders taken from the other two not all four, wine uncorked and set on the table with the cork in it, mismatching dinners with diners) and the room was very noisy and warm. I think I would choose this place for lunch over dinner, certainly would not return here for a special dinner. Overall I rate this three stars. This place could be great with a little server training and sound dampening."

  • "Arturo was quick and attentive. Food continues to be consistently good. Had the gumbo for which was good. Only thing that was a disappoint was the initial greeting from the host which I later found out was she was the manager. Just didn't give us the welcome that we have received in the past."

  • "This was not my first time at Eddie's, but every time the service has always been so friendly and attentive. Would recommend this as a local favourite."

  • "This was my sister and my first time dining at Eddie Papa's. One of the things that drew me to the restaurant was their website stated they could accommodate many of their menu items to be gluten-free. My sister, who is gluten intolerant, was visiting from out of town and I've been wanting to take her here to check out their gluten-free menu. The waiter, Jake, was very knowledgeable about substitutions and provided excellent service from beginning to end! The food was very good and the gluten-free mac & cheese (made with rice noodles) was sooooo yummy (I tasted it too!) We will definitely be going back every time she visits - and I want to go back, even without her, to try some other delicious sounding food I saw on the menu."

  • "Consistency!!! I want it to be that comfortable place that I can go back to get that same dish/plate/meal... especially when I really liked it. I had that dish... and have ordered it 3 times in the past recent chunk of time, and each time it's been different... mostly smaller. This is really disappointing. Especially when you have a good dish, and you think of it, crave it, and then order it and .... are left wanting and bummed. The good thing is that they have dishes that are like this, the bad thing is sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't."

  • "Great place to take the kids! The food and service is geared towards children. The food is fresh and menu is creative with a great variety. Full bar with great choices of beer/wine. Enjoyed our evening and will be back!"

  • "one of my favorite thing about this restaurant is the cotton candy they bring at the end of the meal. the day we went the machine was broken, so no cotton candy. no big deal - just disappointment."

  • "Very disappointing. The menu had many items that looked great, actually too many. It was hard to choose. Once we did the food didn't taste good. I had the Ruben which was way too salty. The salad dressing, balsamic was too heavy. We did order the loaded French fries which were good but the dipping aioli tasted more like plain mayo. Also ordered was the chicken club, the fish and chips, eggs Benedict and a cheeseburger. Nothing was "wow" and considering that very over priced."

  • "Management accommodated our friend with a wheelchair we liked that but overall for the price, meal was fair and we had to keep asking for water."

  • "We met friends for brunch and the French Toast was more than one person can eat, the 2 girls could easily have shared this dish. The husbands both had eggs and it was all wonderful. We will definitely be back. The meal is worth the money."

  • "I think they changed the menu and I was very unimpressed. Very overpriced. $8.50 for a wedge salad that was about 1/8 of a slice. A few bacon bits and about half a teaspoon of dressing. No blue cheese or tomato. Really sad."

  • "This is the second time we've come in a large group to celebrate my mom's birthday. As always, the service was incredible, the food delicious, and we can't wait to return. Love this place!! So great for kids too. :) The cotton candy after dinner is a fun touch."

  • "We had a fairly large group that just completed a day of business meetings and needed a great restaurant for dinner. Their large table in the back was perfect and sat all 12 of us perfectly. The variety of food and drink matched every palette and the service was awesome! The cotton candy at the end was a special treat indeed. We were able to talk without shouting and the vibe was very comfortable."

  • "We went to Eddie Papa's the other night when we were down in the Pleasanton area. It's a fun restaurant featuring a variety of food from different areas of the country. They also have a featured region which this month was Louisiana. From looking at their menu online, I saw that they had a 5 cheese WI grilled cheese sandwich. When we got there it wasn't on the menu but on request, they were able to make it for me and it was good. We also shared the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich which was OK. The best surprise was when they brought complimentary cotton candy for dessert - yum! The portions were about the right size and there's lots of variety on the menu."

  • "Our family frequently visits Eddie Papa's. Most of us are allergic to gluten, but not all of us. We have consistently had wonderful service & delicious food. For those of us who are gluten intolerant, they accommodate our needs impressively. They have a designated fryer for gluten-free items & can adjust most of the menu items to gluten-free options. I highly recommend the Seattle Seafood Louis Salad. It comes gluten-free as prepared & could not be more delicious. The gluten-free Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sandwich is also delicious, and you really MUST try their sweet potato fries. If all of this wasn't enough, you are served complimentary cotton candy at the end of your meal. What more could you ask?"

  • "We ate here for dinner before going to a party on new year's eve. We both had hamburgers, but they were absolutely great. they have more gourmet offerings also, and a dessert menu that includes s'mores...with an at-table stove to roast the marshmallows. We didn't have this, but it smelled great from our table. We had good personal service, and they have (at least) one other unique detail - free cotton candy with the bill. This restaurant is a new favorite."

  • "The food and service have both gone way downhill. The fries are weird, more like country potatoes and the reuben is very thin on meat. The cocktails are well made if you can get service."

  • "We've driven past this place a ton of times and finally decided to try it out. The service was exceptional. They were prompt, friendly and invited us to come back as we told them it was our first time and we were pleased with our dining experience. I ordered the sourdough crab sandwich which was delicious. When they brought out my husband's cobb salad they offered to split it for us. As I am pregnant, I told them no thank you as I couldn't have blue cheese. Our server came back a minute later to ask me what kind of dressing I liked. And I asked, Why? Does my meal come with a salad? She replied that no it didn't but that she wanted to bring me a small salad anyway. I politely declined, but talk about great customer service. We will return!"

  • "I first tried Eddie Papa's because we were looking around for a place to have a special dinner for my gluten intolerant boyfriend and I had heard they were gluten intolerant friendly & delicious! A rare find, even here in the Bay Area. I liked what I tried the very first time (Chili rubbed bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers & the Watsonville strawberry salad) and for my first 10 visits or so I kept to that order. I am a creature of habit for two reasons, a rare allergy (not gluten) and my long history of trying something new at a restaurant just to discover they are a one trick pony. Little by little I began branching out. I tried the bread pudding (to die for), I tried the sandwiches, and last visit I had the catfish. Everything is wonderful!"

  • "Sunday evening dinner for my wife birthday with family. Seated promptly. Arturo is a great waiter. Very engaging and very polite. Explained monthly menu (it changes every month) and gave suggestions. He is amazing and we would ask for him when we come back. We ordered: Short Ribs, Barbecue Ribs, Meat Loaf and Sea Food. Tremendously satisfying portions. Food was well presented, came to the table together, hot from the kitchen. Very tasty. Menu items from various parts of the country, lots of variety, includes an explanation of food origin. Signature dessert for kids (Cotton Candy). We had bignets, Lava Pie for dessert. We have eaten at Eddie Papa"s several times, lunch and dinner, special occassions. Its all good!"
