  • "The sides we ordered were delicious! However if I am going to spend this much money I want it to all be good. I was not impressed with the steak; we ordered Medium Well and the steak was still red all over and draining with blood. Extremely disappointed in the food. I personally had my dessert replaced, I ordered the S'More, it had an unnatural taste to it. I was however impressed with the mixed drinks and the service. Had a wonderful server named Martin I believe. He was great!"

  • "Went for a dinner on a Saturday night. I have been to all the major steakhouses in Louisville and this one is average. The food was good, but for the price it should have been excellent. My steak was done perfect but my boyfriend ordered rare and it came out well done. The server took it back and got another steak immediately but nothing else was said about it. The manager never stopped over. The server had another table of 14 people so I know he was doing his best. The sweet potato casserole was amazing and the best side. There are better steakhouses for the price but this place was good."

  • "I have been creating and presenting meals to my friends as a hobby for 40 years. I was in food and beverage many of those years. I will eventually publish a collection of the one's I am well known for later when I just can't think of anything new. I have had my own places as well. I must say I really felt good in the environment. I feel it would be good for any occasion although I have only experienced our anniversary here. We don't go out to eat much because my wife feels my dish's are superior to any she has had in Louisville (what a heart). However, the ambiance, the aroma, the texture, the taste, the presentation, and the focus of the staff were indeed superior. This is the way I want to eat when I don't feel like serving. Salute."

The food, drinks and dessert were tremendous. We enjoyed the Sweet and Spicy Rock Shrimp followed by the Platte River Ranch Natural New York Strip and Trio of Medallions. We really enjoyed the red wine flight and yes, the Belle Glos Pinot Noir Rules! The Carrot Cake was the finale and left nothing more to be desired! We'll be back and it can't be soon enough!"

Our server was incredible and very knowledgable about the food and side dishes. I believe her name was Leslie she was so friendly and asked if it was a special occasion. We are so thankful for the quite time away from our kids. We will be returning for another dinner soon. Again thank you for a memorable occasion."

  • "We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Eddie Merlot's. The management and staff were friendly, helpful and understanding. The flowers I had ordered were on the table when we arrived. The wine list is excellent, but try the wine tasting specials before you order your favorite bottle. The table side service was exceptional although not intrusive. The food was wonderful both in taste and presentation. We highly recommend the Wagyu ribeye tomahawk (however, it is a very large portion and suitable for sharing. Our friends had seafood and were very impressed. Coffee, deserts and after dinner drinks were all memorable. It was our first trip but will not be our last. We highly recommend Eddie's. Don't forget to ask to meet the Chef!"

Ok' our waitress was wonderful and our appetizer was right on to start us off. This was our birthday dinner and the food, service was just what we expected for a five star venue. I was in the region for a business trip and ended up dining there at least 4 times. Great place for a date - as well as for a large group. On Friday night they had jazz in the bar area which added to the decorum. I definitely recommend this location."

  • "1. Not acknowledged at hostess station, three people too busy looking at computer, stood there for a good 2 minutes without any eye contact. 2. When got to table, they knew we were only two at the table, but extra service settings not removed until appetizer arrived. 3. Ordered items from the charcuterie and cheese tray; and the server comes back and says they were not available; why was the server not updated? 4. Place very noisy. 5. Had to ask for bread 5. No visit from manager or chef at all. Ultimately not worth the cost"

  • "It was a Sunday and our top choice, Z's Oyster Bar was not open so we decided to walk to Eddie Merlots. Wage waitress knew nothing about the oysters on the menumand was more focused it seemed on getting us in and out. The Cosmo was just ok but the Makers Mark Manhatten was excellent. The tuna was excellent but the sea bass was so fatty it was like eating butter. For the price, go somewhere else for seafood. the atmosphere is like a hotel restaurant. "

  • "Took the family to Eddie Merlot's for Mother's Day dinner on Saturday night. The food was outstanding. Entrees were tasty....special recognition to the filet and lobster tail. The filet was fork tender and the lobster tail was perfectly cooked. We sampled oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon and shrimp cocktail for appetizer selections. All were very fresh and quite tasty. The kids menu was ideal for the grand kids. Food quality and ambience was outstanding. Service a little spotty....a bit slow and had to remind the server about a Caesar salad that we ordered - it was very late into the meal before it finally arrived. Carrot cake is amazing!!!! A four star experience that could have been five stars with sharper service. "

  • "Had a great pre-birthday dinner on Friday night at Eddie's. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of my 29th birthday. I had the marinated rib eye and my wife had three tenderloin medallions with three different toppings. I went with truffle fries as a side and my wife had the sweet potato dish that was sublime. We started our meal with the pot stickers and they were a great start to a great meal. We kind of live on a hamburger budget...but this was a very nice treat!"

  • "We took our son to Eddie Merlot's for his 18th birthday. I booked the reservation via OpenTable, noting that we were celebrating my son's 18th birthday. Within a few minutes I had a confirmation email from OpenTable. The day of the reservation I received a phone call to confirm the reservation and they understood we were celebrating an 18th birthday. The lady on the phone said they would have a special dessert for him after the meal. Our table was ready when we arrived. As the restaurant filled the noise level made it very difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. The food was outstanding as usual. Other than the noise the only thing I can say that was not to my liking, they forgot to bring the birthday dessert for my son."
