My expectations were exceeded in decore, service and the quality of the food served. My date and I had gone out to Morton's for a celebration dinner, and were left dissatisfied with the overall experience. Our recent dinner at Eddie Merlot's was better in every category.

Our party of 4 all enjoyed the appetizers, steak you could cut with a fork, perfectly seared ahi tuna, & amazing dessert. The truffle parmesan fries are a must! The only thing preventing me from giving an overall score of "outstanding" are the prices. The atmosphere is elegant, but the prices make it a birthday & anniversary destination, rather than a random Saturday night place. I'm not sure in Lincolnshire they will survive charging these prices, as I can't imaging filling seats on a weekday when it's difficult to get out of there for less than $70-80 per person. The ambiance was amazing with bright colors (not the typical dark and dingy steakhouse decor). The Rock Shrimp for an appetizer was phanomenal and you can eat the bowl served with the calamari in it. Chateaubriand was sliced table side and mixed berries for dessert was flambed table side with at least a three foot flame (nice presentation). Our servers recommendations were outstanding. He made our anniversary enjoyable. So much so we took a picture with him. After dinner we had an after dinner drink in the lounge. The music was so much fun. The steak Diane was professionally prepared tableside, and the steaks were cooked exactly to our specifications (med rare). The sides were also done well, and all portions were generous, but not huge, perfect in our opinion. The decor is spectacular and the service is so friendly and attentive. Wedge salad, perfect. Bread, perfect. They brought us a red velvet cupcake with a shot of cold milk on the side for our celebration, free of charge. Excellent martini's also. We had the prix fixe dinner special; my trout was excellent, but my wife felt the glaze on her salmon was too sweet. The waiter was very attentive and worked hard to sell up, especially with their Platinum Club frequent diner option. He seemed a bit disappointed we didn't drink more or have more expensive entrees! The Bananas Foster and coffee were incredible. The only negative is that when we first arrived we felt we had too much attention. We did not have time to relax and experience the restaurant. The waiter was too attentive as well as, the General Manager hovered around the table before he finally said hello. He stopped by twice which was not necessary.
My meal was one of the best ever however, it was very expensive. $100 per person is a lot of money for Lincolnshire.
