Beautiful restaurant - but poor service. We had a 5 p.m. reservation and had to wait an hour for an appetizer. We opted not to have dessert since we had already been there for over 2 hours. Food was fair. Will not return.

Just dined here and was very excited, as it's only been open a short while. During a night out with some friends, we weren't sure what to expect. The scene and ambiance was outstanding, very elegant, up-scale. Our server was very polite and courteous, but we soon realized he was a little lacking in efficiency. We were seated at 7:15 pm & didn't receive main entrees until 9 pm. For a party of 3, fairly simple standard orders, this is unacceptable. 2 of us ordered salads, which took about 45 mins to arrive, then my 6 oz. filet mignon (with no sides) arrived about 1 hour later (so we ate at 9 pm, for a 7:15 reservation, finally leaving at 10 pm). I will give it another chance though, since this place is new, I realize there are quirks.

Other than the noise factor which made conversation difficult, this restaurant was outstanding. We made a reservation online indicating that we were celebrating a birthday and when we arrived everyone made a point of mentioning the occasion. We even received a complimentary birthday treat! Food was excellent, service was attentive and wine list is extensive!

We had a wonderful time there! The manager, Steve, was very welcoming! The ambiance was warm and inviting(the fireplace was charming). The hostesses, waiters, and the rest of the staff were very pleasant and professional. It was also nice to see live entertainment in the bar area. We highly recommend Eddie Merlot's.

What took you so long? Welcome to Burr Ridge! We are happy to see the first upscale steakhouse in the area. My wife & I love the place. Sweet & spicy shrimp appertizer was awesome! My wife had filet mignon. It was the best steak if compared to Morton's, Ruth Chris, Capital Grille, Gibson or Grotto. I ordered Wagyu Ribeye. It was a bit fatty that will clog up your coronary artery. The in-house carrot cake was very good. We will definately go back to order regular filet! Thank you for being in Burr Ridge.

Beautiful restaurant - hard to believe it was ever Max & Irma's. Great filets and excellent chopped salad, but I was disappointed with a tendon winding thru my "natural" strip steak. Chateaubriand and Steak Diane presentations were fantastic.

A great place for an outstanding steak. Ambiance is bright and open rather than the dark lighting of other premium steak houses. Service was very good considering it had only been open for two weeks. The wine list had a large variety of choices without going to extremes and they seemed to have quality pricing. The tableside Steak Diane was phenominal.

Don't know if they have outdoor dining available for summer but it would only enhance a great restaurant. The food, service and ambiance was great. They do need to lower the lighting a bit and turn the heat down especially with the fireplaces going.

We realize that Eddie Merlot's was only opened four days ago - but we went anyway. BIG MISTAKE ! Though the young manager with the earrings & glasses was bragging to another table how all the kinks had already been ironed out - NOT ! The great news is our favorite restaurant TOPAZ doesn't have ANYTHING to be concerned about this will NOT be any competition for them on ANY level.

My husband and I enjoyed the 2 1/2 hour dinner on the third day of your opening. The decor was very relaxing and it was a very relaxing dining experience. We had already recommended your restaurant for a few of our friends who had dinner on Friday evening. They enjoyed it very much. Our son is coming back from China next week and we will be coming for dinner. He travels extensively in Europe and southeast Asia as well as South America. We look forward to our visit to Eddie Merlot's after the Thanksgiving holiday.
