  • "Great menu variety. I was celebrating a birthday and it was a 1st visit. I ordered the sea bass. It was excellent! Quite pricey, but what I expected to pay. The spinach salad with bacon dressing and strawberries is highly recommended as well. My husband ordered a bone-in ribeye steak. It was just ok. We both agreed our faithful steakhouse down the street is still untouchable- as they cook their steak with butter. I will not run back to EM for a steak (ironically), but for the menu overall and for highly recommended pork chops I have yet to try there."

  • "I'm a regular at Eddie Merlots and never had any issues and food/ service has always been spectacular. Evening started off with a Charcuterie Tray and Martini's in the Lounge headed by Maureen, Carolyn and Lance. If you want a great variety of meat and cheeses try out one of their trays. After a few Martini's we went over to Dining Room where Stephanie was our Server Extraordinaire who was filled with knowledge about "Specials" and the menu in general and also added her favorites. I chose the Lobster Duo and my guest had the 3 course meal with Caesar Salad, Cedar Plank Salmon with a dessert. If you're ever looking for an awesome restaurant give Eddie Merlot's a try."

  • "Although the atmosphere and service of the restaurant are excellent, the food is not. The food lacked the 3 "P"s , which are Presentation, Preparation and Portion. For the price we paid for our entrees, the presentation of the entree was no different than any other chain restaurant. With respect to the preparation, two of our entrees were not cooked as requested, and the taste of the entrees was mediocre. As to portion, it was lacking there as well. One does not mind a smaller portion if the entree was at least outstanding in its presentation and preparation, which was definitely not the case here. If you want to dine here because it's currently the "hot spot", then it's the place for you. Otherwise, save your money."

  • "My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday night. They were offering a Prix menu for $34 and the food for that was wonderful! Starts with a salad, then we had the Cedar Plank Salmon that had fingerling potatoes and sauteed spinach. The Salmon was extremely tender and juicy. The amount of potatoes was very very small but that was fine for us as we don't care for too many carbs with dinner. The meal also gave a choice of dessert which was also very good."

  • "I had read about the restaurant when it first opened and my husband and I read up on it before reserving. The dinner started off well. Waiter introduced himself, asked if we'd been there before. Shrimp appetizer was good. Ceasar salad very good. Things went downhill for me at dinner. Husband ordered steak medium well - steak was black and very well done. He doesn't complain so he ate it anyway. I ordered Salmon. A fourth of the way into it, it was raw. When i flagged the waiter he took one look and said raw before i said anything - happened before? Waited about 10 min. for it to return. by then side dish of potatoes were cold. Dessert was good."

  • "Food expensive and awful. Server agreed food was not prepared correctly. Blamed it on several new line cooks being trained.because they quit all the time. Trout was over cooked and dry - not edible and server apologies dad she knew it was bad. Barely was able to eat half my salad before dinner arrived. Another server brought the food. When original server came by she was startled we had our entrees already delivered and apogised that salad and entree was served to quick. Very unorganized all around. Restaurant was almost empty at 7:30 on a Thursday night and never got busier - only 3-4 people at the bar. No atmosphere. Will not return - nothing positive to say really."

  • "We got there at 7 ordered at 7:15 our food came at 8:45. We were starving even tho we had salads and one appetizer. Our waiter kept telling us our food would be out soon. By the time our food came we already had our allotment of wine and had to drive so we couldn't have any wine with dinner. 3 out of 4 of us had lobster so I don't know what took so long. I thought my salmon app was very good. My husbands pork chop was dry but he ordered it well done. I would probably sit in bar if we went back."

  • "We recently dined here with another couple. It was early and we indicated when we were seated that our time was limited as we were going to another event that evening. It was about 15 min before we were able to flag someone down to take our order . Service continued from our waiter in this manner throughout the meal. The exception was the bus service which was very good, on par with what I would expect at a restaurant of this level. Food was generally average, although the salmon was excellent. We were all very disappointed."

The entrees were not as hot as we thought sthey should be, so two persons in the party sent their selections back to be heated up. Our server brought the birthday girl a cupcake with cream cheese frosting that was delicious! It was a memorable evening."

  • "Very disappointed. I order my filet well done. It comes medium rare. Once back, it's always charred to the point I cannot cut it or eat it. I am 8 weeks pregnant and the wait for bread was 40 minutes. The steak was an inch big once it came back (20 min later) friends done eating, mine wasn't meat anymore. It had caught on fire and was served to me. We eat at all the steakhouses regularly. I have had to send my filet back maybe twice and both restaurabts went above and beyond to comp the filet. EM's waits to catch the steak on fire, leaning blsck charred dust all over the plate. The carcinogens could kill people. I could not cut my steak nor would I eat it. Unacceptable to serve that."

It was moist and tender. The Caesar salad also delish and huge. This was off the $28 menu and a very good value. Cocktails very nice and a good selection of wines by the glass."

If you're dining with a wine connoisseur, you're at the right restaurant. Depending on the occasion and the number of people in your party, the entrance of the restaurant can be noisy but the back dining room is great for a quite/romantic dinner. Enjoy!"
