However, the noise level was not good for conversation -- you had to shout over the music and we weren't even sitting near it! And, it was a little dark...could have had a little more lighting at or over table.

Within 30 minutes, it was packed. Live music was a draw, and didn't get ear-blastingly loud. This is not a quiet, quaint place. The crowd qualified as "eclectic." In spite of the large crowd, the service remained excellent.
The menu had several gems. We started with the cheese plate, and the olives and almonds. The salmon was very good, and the scallops were superb! The octopus was the only item that was merely OK.
We finished with sorbet and port.

Some people said it was too loud but if you request the patio or wine room you won't have a problem with the noise. Whether you want to party or hang out and talk if say they offer something for everyone. The portions are small (it is a tapas bar) and supposed to be shared. I am a vegetarian and appreciate that they have an entire side of the menu dedicated to veggie food. I think they have a vegan and gluten free menu as well. I often go on Monday's 'ALL YOU CAN EAT" or just to hang out and have a drink along with my favorite menu items. I went with a group - we had family in town - and everyone was quite pleased with the experience. The mojitos were amazing, and we really enjoyed the food. We had about 12 tapas, the paella, and 2 desserts. Everything was good. I particularly loved the perfectly-seared scallops and the goat-cheese-stuffed piquillo peppers. There was a pasta special with rotini and a creamy sauce that was to DIE for! The regular items certainly didn't disappoint either.
What really made this evening special was the service. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. After we got the check and paid, I mentioned to our server, Sergio, that it was his birthday (better late than never, right?) and he immediately ran to the back. A few minutes later he brought out a decadent chocolate and caramel masterpiece. A big thank you to Sergio; you surpassed my expectations and made me love Eclipse de Luna even more.
