The food was great as usual, but our server ignored us all night. Luckily, one of the managers got us our drinks after waiting on them for 20+ minutes. All in all, love Ecco, but really was put off by the terrible service from our server.

We went to Ecco during midtown restaurant week because the food is usually awesome. Unfortunately, from the moment we sat down, it seemed as if our server was angry that we, (1) hadn't yet chosen a wine (2) didn't know yet if we were going with a glass or a bottle, and (3) wanted a restaurant week menu. After rudely throwing the menu on the table and recommending a less than ideal and in no way as she described wine, our server proceded to visit the table infrequently throughout the meal. It was frustrating to hear servers at all other tables around us describing the details of each dish, the ingredients used, etc. when we had to flag our server down to find out any details at all. Definitely a poor experience. The food was great though.

I was completely surprised by our server never ever bringing up or referencing the Midtown Restaurant Week "special". There was no menu presented reflecting that nor was there any mention of it. Being intimately familiar with Fifth Group outstanding servers, this was a real disappointment.

I had not been to Ecco in a couple years and my visit last Saturday was as lovely as all the previous ones. I really like their plates to share and small plates. Boquerones are my favorite and they aren't easy to find in many other places in Atlanta. The kale and prosciutto croquettes were fantastic as well. I had the lamb cannelloni as an entree. The sauce was delicious and all the ingredients and flavors blended just perfect. Perhaps the only disappointing part of my visit was that I didn't find anything in the dessert menu that I really craved, but I had a really good cappuccino instead.

Our meals were delicious - I had the pesto shrimp pasta and my husband had the pork flat iron - both amazing. Ecco was previously a favorite spot, but Ecco had slumped quite a bit due to poor service. We stayed away for a while but decided to give Ecco another try....much much better this time! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The charcuterie and cheese plate was fantastic, and the portions were far beyond generous. As a result, we had to split the pork entree, which was just delicious. The server - Abby - was on the ball with perfectly timed service. Can't wait to go back!

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased with this visit. This our first return after several years. Previously didn't care for the menu offerings, felt they were overpriced, and no one in the restaurant was over 30. This time there were multiple offerings in all categories we liked, drinks were outstanding showing skill of the bartenders, and there was a great mix of diners so we didn't feel like chaperones. The Lamb cannelloni and pork ragu were excellent. Service was experienced and professional. Atmosphere and vibe was classy. Can't wait to return!

We went to Ecco for an anniversary dinner and our server REALLY went out of his way to make the occasion special and made lots of great suggestions on the menu. I was shocked when he said that he was new, because he was very knowledgeable about the menu items. I can't believe we passed Ecco up so many times when considering a place to eat out - we've driven by it multiple times. A new favorite and another Fifth Group success! The fried goat cheese balls were heavenly and the pizzas were awesome!

My wife and I went to Ecco to celebrate her birthday. The food was outstanding and the service (Abby was out waiter) was the best either of us had ever experienced. Only 30 miles from our home, but one of the most memorable meals we've ever had. Yes, the goat cheese appetizer is as good as advertised, but the chorizo stuffed dates were even better. Very good wine list and, did I mention the service? :) If you're in Atlanta, do not miss Ecco.

Our food was delicious. We had a meat and cheese sampler, several appetizers and 3 entrees. The kitchen was very accommodating in providing an appetizer as an entree. Our server, Shaun was spot on. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. The bar was very slow getting our cocktails out. This didn't make sense as while we were waiting at the bar, we noticed servers getting their orders in a timely fashion. Both the first and second rounds took 5 to 10 minutes to arrive. To wait that long for a $12-$14 cocktail is not good. The room had a nice vibe but was VERY loud. Some sound absorption materials in the ceiling and/or walls would be welcome. We had a nice evening and would recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated a birthday dinner at Ecco on Saturday. The service was fine, but we were waiting on the server a few times. The food was great. However, the valet really left a bad last impression. It was raining, so the guys went to get the cars while the ladies used the restroom (so we wouldn't have to wait in the rain). When we walked outside to get in the car, the valet was yelling at us to hurry up and get in the car. It's unfortunate that our last impression of Ecco was a rude valet.

Excellent service and imaginative food. You'll need help deciphering the foreign terms on the menu. Booth tables at Midtown location are lined up so closely you'll have to introduce yourself to your neighbors or be rude, and I didn't like staring at the curtains all night with a lively kitchen scene behind me. But food is fantastic.

Ecco has always been a favorite of mine, but I can't for the life of me understand why I take so long to return. This time, it was a casual date and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The small plates that include various meats and cheeses are perfect for leisurely grazing while having wonderful discussion. The service understands the perfect balance of attending to your needs and leaving you be. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. There is a reason why several films and tv shows have used the interior for filming. This midtown gem isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Whatever you do, make sure you order the goat cheese!
