Ecco never seems to disappoint. While not all dishes are amazing, some really are and everything is flavorful, well-prepared. The new lamb meatballs were easily one of the best dishes I've eaten anywhere in a while. The only problem was that there were only three small meatballs to an order for $13. The quail entree was redolent with warm spices, served with seasonal beans cooked perfectly, and the new side dish of roasted potatoes with sauce gribiche and soft-boiled egg was the best version of potato salad you'll ever have. Cocktails, as usual, were delicious, unique and expertly crafted. Service is always attentive and knowledgeable. Love being able to see into the kitchen, too, so the diner can experience the theater of it all.

I've been to Ecco about 5 or 6 times over the recent years and the food is always consistently good. The menu has some items that are staples every time because they are a favorite, but they also have new items and specials. The service has always been impeccable regardless of how busy they get. We ordered a couple of appetizer items and one entrée which we split all three and it was more than plenty. We each got dessert which changes but one constant is their ice creams; although the flavors change, it's always on the menu. If you want to try something new and different but consistent, I highly recommend trying Ecco. Be sure to make reservations because walk-ins will either have to wait awhile or not be able to get in at all.

We took out of town business associates to dinner, including a couple of vegetarians and someone who does not eat pork. While there are not many vegetarian friendly options, the server very thoughtfully suggested a couple of options not on the menu. One of the guests didn't realize there was bacon in one of the vegetable side-dishes (it wasn't included on the menu). The server asked chef to make one without the bacon, which was done. I had the penne with shrimp; it was very rich and tasty and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The chocolate cherry bombe was a lovely dessert. We will definitely go back.

We have been coming to Ecco for years given we live in the neighborhood (Midtown ATL) and the food is always great. The last few times we have been we have had servers that are way too flustered and the last time just down right rude. We were entertaining friends from out of town and it was actually embarrassing. After our meal that we paid for I mentioned it to the manager and all that he could say surprisingly was "Well he has been with us for 13 years." My thought was we have been coming here for that long and thankfully have not had to experience him. Finally, don't ask someone and confirm a special occasion (birthday) when it is not acknowledged. What is the point? With so many choices in Midtown it is easy for Ecco to go away.

Bar Service was very slow as there was only one bartender for a very busy Wednesday night. We had to ask a number of times if we could order food and she said it would be a few minutes even though we were there well before the other parties sitting at the bar and those who were just trying to order drinks. Then when we placed the order it did not come out correctly however it did come out very fast. The bartender got nicer as she was presenting the check. I had not been to Ecco for a few years and I will not go back anytime soon.

I just love everything about Ecco. Our server (who said she is also one of the bartenders) was excellent. I'm doing a clean eating diet so it was no gluten, dairy, or sugar (and you are thinking why did she come here) but was able to find a few items. My friend tried the fried goat cheese for the first time - LOVED IT!

We went to Ecco during midtown restaurant week because the food is usually awesome. Unfortunately, from the moment we sat down, it seemed as if our server was angry that we, (1) hadn't yet chosen a wine (2) didn't know yet if we were going with a glass or a bottle, and (3) wanted a restaurant week menu. After rudely throwing the menu on the table and recommending a less than ideal and in no way as she described wine, our server proceded to visit the table infrequently throughout the meal. It was frustrating to hear servers at all other tables around us describing the details of each dish, the ingredients used, etc. when we had to flag our server down to find out any details at all. Definitely a poor experience. The food was great though.

I had not been to Ecco in a couple years and my visit last Saturday was as lovely as all the previous ones. I really like their plates to share and small plates. Boquerones are my favorite and they aren't easy to find in many other places in Atlanta. The kale and prosciutto croquettes were fantastic as well. I had the lamb cannelloni as an entree. The sauce was delicious and all the ingredients and flavors blended just perfect. Perhaps the only disappointing part of my visit was that I didn't find anything in the dessert menu that I really craved, but I had a really good cappuccino instead.

Ecco was previously a favorite spot, but Ecco had slumped quite a bit due to poor service. We stayed away for a while but decided to give Ecco another try....much much better this time! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The charcuterie and cheese plate was fantastic, and the portions were far beyond generous. As a result, we had to split the pork entree, which was just delicious. The server - Abby - was on the ball with perfectly timed service. Can't wait to go back!

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased with this visit. This our first return after several years. Previously didn't care for the menu offerings, felt they were overpriced, and no one in the restaurant was over 30. This time there were multiple offerings in all categories we liked, drinks were outstanding showing skill of the bartenders, and there was a great mix of diners so we didn't feel like chaperones. The Lamb cannelloni and pork ragu were excellent. Service was experienced and professional. Atmosphere and vibe was classy. Can't wait to return!

I was shocked when he said that he was new, because he was very knowledgeable about the menu items. My wife and I went to Ecco to celebrate her birthday. The food was outstanding and the service (Abby was out waiter) was the best either of us had ever experienced. Only 30 miles from our home, but one of the most memorable meals we've ever had. Yes, the goat cheese appetizer is as good as advertised, but the chorizo stuffed dates were even better.
