  • "We went to Ecco for an anniversary dinner and our server REALLY went out of his way to make the occasion special and made lots of great suggestions on the menu. I was shocked when he said that he was new, because he was very knowledgeable about the menu items. I can't believe we passed Ecco up so many times when considering a place to eat out - we've driven by it multiple times. A new favorite and another Fifth Group success! The fried goat cheese balls were heavenly and the pizzas were awesome!"

  • "My wife and I went to Ecco to celebrate her birthday. The food was outstanding and the service (Abby was out waiter) was the best either of us had ever experienced. Only 30 miles from our home, but one of the most memorable meals we've ever had. Yes, the goat cheese appetizer is as good as advertised, but the chorizo stuffed dates were even better. Very good wine list and, did I mention the service? :) If you're in Atlanta, do not miss Ecco."

  • "Our food was delicious. We had a meat and cheese sampler, several appetizers and 3 entrees. The kitchen was very accommodating in providing an appetizer as an entree. Our server, Shaun was spot on. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. The bar was very slow getting our cocktails out. This didn't make sense as while we were waiting at the bar, we noticed servers getting their orders in a timely fashion. Both the first and second rounds took 5 to 10 minutes to arrive. To wait that long for a $12-$14 cocktail is not good. The room had a nice vibe but was VERY loud. Some sound absorption materials in the ceiling and/or walls would be welcome. We had a nice evening and would recommend the restaurant."

  • "We celebrated a birthday dinner at Ecco on Saturday. The service was fine, but we were waiting on the server a few times. The food was great. However, the valet really left a bad last impression. It was raining, so the guys went to get the cars while the ladies used the restroom (so we wouldn't have to wait in the rain). When we walked outside to get in the car, the valet was yelling at us to hurry up and get in the car. It's unfortunate that our last impression of Ecco was a rude valet."

Booth tables at Midtown location are lined up so closely you'll have to introduce yourself to your neighbors or be rude, and I didn't like staring at the curtains all night with a lively kitchen scene behind me. But food is fantastic."

  • "Ecco has always been a favorite of mine, but I can't for the life of me understand why I take so long to return. This time, it was a casual date and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The small plates that include various meats and cheeses are perfect for leisurely grazing while having wonderful discussion. The service understands the perfect balance of attending to your needs and leaving you be. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. There is a reason why several films and tv shows have used the interior for filming. This midtown gem isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Whatever you do, make sure you order the goat cheese!"

Air conditioning was too cold - I mean freezing cold, blowing on our heads and hostess wouldn't adjust. She should have moved us to more comfortable seating.   • "Grilled beets - superb. Burratta and peaches, excellent. Pasta, excellent. Pork special was very good, if a tad overlooked. Beautiful sauce with it. The bartender fixed a great sazerac and knew his stuff. Our waiter, Pablo, was very accommodating. We were not in a hurry, and he did not rush us. He knew the wines by the glass and recommended well."

  • "The boquerones are a must to start with - cannot go wrong fried goat cheese with honey an black pepper. Delish! The grilled calamari was awesome - great wood grilled flavor. They also had this mortadella app - it was like a bologna quesadilla with a side of mostarda - fabulous! We also had the San marzano pizza which is perfectly done! Lamb cannelloni was our last dish and was so amazing! We were so full! But it was all so good!"

  • "I walked into Ecco and to my surprise, it was beautiful, elegant, and deserving a prize. What a lovely space I thought (and I am hard to appease), but I knew I was sold when I ate the goat cheese. The wine list was daunting, my knowledge inferior. But the descriptions were illustrious matching the interior. My waitress Kristin knew her menu well, she made recommendations which were good I could tell. Next time I come I'd like to dine under the sky, because the grub is so good I think I could fly. Thank you dear Ecco for your attention and style, hoping I'll be back in less than a while. :)"

  • "Ecco has a beautiful interior and a pleasant outside seating area. Our server was wonderful. It is rare to get a server so thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and able to give useful recommendations. The cocktails were nice to excellent and we especially enjoyed the “Queen for a Day”. The food was also good to excellent with only one miss. Winners were the fried goat cheese appetizer, the braised pork over pappardelle and the chocolate cherry bomb dessert. Good was the roasted mushroom pizza, the grilled asparagus side and the artichoke and sunchoke side. Unfortunately, we found the charred calamari to be disappointing. There was no charring to be seen or tasted and the calamari was extremely fishy and unpleasant."

The wait staff was fun and regularly checked on us. I would caution anyone that isn't an adventurous eater as there aren't many varieties of food options. Manager took care of us initially as server was busy at a large table and talked us through the menu, made sure we had a drink and some nibbles. Pasta was so good we ordered a second plate! They were very accomodating finding us a seat in the bar and then escorting us to,our table when it was ready. Zac, our waiter was very attentive and very polite.   • "Fabulous restaurant with great service and awesome selection of charcuterie meats and cheeses. The food is similar as to eating on Mediterranean coast of France and Italy. Our waiter did not rush us, explained the menu well, and made sure everything was satisfactory. We visit Atlanta often and this might be our new favorite restaurant. A little hard to find because it is on a side street so use your GPS. Valet parking is behind the restaurant."

  • "I enjoyed my experience at Ecco. Initially I requested a booth, but after being seated in the bar area, away from the dining area I wish I hadn't. Our server was one of the bartenders so his attention was everywhere. The cured meat and cheese combo was delicious. Very few main dish options unless you're into pizza and pasta."
