"Food was very good. Service was the problem, we think. We noticed that some tables around us had boxes of what looked like bread. We never got any. Some other tables didn't have the boxes, so maybe there's a good reason? Water glasses weren't refilled until we asked and servers had been walking around with water pitchers oblivious to our empty glasses. The bill was brought to us, rather abruptly, with our "doggie bags". We weren't offered coffee or dessert. Having a large FREE parking lot was great, but the service needs to be better to get us out to East Boston to pay the tunnel toll."

"I had been a regular customer for the past year or two and found my usual entree of braised short ribs different in not a good way. The flavor lost that punch factor. My boyfriend also wasn't wowed by his mahi mahi which he also felt that the flavor was a little lacking. We'll give it one more try and hope this has just been an off-night."

"The first time we went, the chef was awesome. This time...it seems like a new chef. Aracini risotto was overly breaded and dry. Needs more rice and cheesein it. Calamari already had its sweet chipolte sauce on it when it should come plain so as to give diner a choice whether to add it or go without. Spaghetti sauce tasted like tabasco sauce had been added to it, throwing it off, but the mussels, scallop and shrimp were tasty enough. Service was great, very attentive and enjoyable waitress and the ambience is romantic and stylish. This latter part has not changed."

"Ecco was a great find for me when I was brought there for a to
Antic dinner a coue of years back do I was excited to return again after having forgotten about the restaurant. Food is beautifully presented and full of flavor. My partner was thrilled with his meal and just loved everything about the experience. It's truly an East Boston hidden gem that many of us Back Bay South Enders need to venture out to and discover."
