Convenient location and quality food. It's an ideal location to meet a friend for a casual dinner at reasonable prices, which is what this experience was. I've been here for brunch before and thought it was great because of the light the restaurant allows in and the good morning drinks (mimosas and bloody marys). I'd go back if the situation was similar in either scenario.

We had a reservation at 6:30 and I'm glad we made it on the early side because by the time we left, this place was packed. I really love eating here preshow before the crowds fill up the place., the service is good but it seems they could use perhaps one more waitstaff. I had the pearl encrusted tuna,my friend has the seafood tacos. We ended with the pumpkin cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the wine selection was fabulous too. We sat outside on one of the nice fall days, the street scene with the ambulances and sirens was a little much, but it's New York. I highly recommend this restaurant, just give yourself plenty of time.

I took my family who were visiting here before seeing a show at Lincoln Center. The first thing our waiter asked was if we were seeing a show and steered us away from food that would take too long to prepare. Everything came out quickly and was delicious. In a group of 5 people with varied eating habits and restrictions it is hard to find somewhere that everyone is happy. Eatery succeeded.

I just happened by this restaurant while walking on 9th Avenue. Wow! This was perfect place to eat before a show. The waiter made a couple of suggestions and all of the food was great. I had the grilled salmon salad and my other two friends shared the macaroni and cheese - which was by far the best I've ever tasted.

The Eatery is a good, middle of the road dining spot with decent food and eager, sometimes over eager service. But it has lost much of its vibe and seems to have been taken over by tourists and some neighborhood gays. It was strangely empty for a Saturday night when we arrived at 8 but filled up later.

We don't get back to NYC too often. This was just such a nice easy place to go for brunch with our daughter. Service was good, food was tasty (though the nest of fried potatoes under the "benedict" was a little cold, though tasted good). The place was jumping but our reservation was honored and we were seated right away. Would go back.

My girlfriend and I try to meet up for dinner once a month and always look for somewhere trendy to go to or just to try a new place. We went afterwork and it was not busy at first. The crowd started to come after 7pm. The food was okay. The scene was nice and a good place to hang out with groups. The service was excellent! I would go back and try something different to eat.

Great experience! We arrived early but were seated and informed that kitchen wasn't open for another 10 min (it was 4:50) and quickly provided menus and placed a drink order while we perused the menu. The food was delicious, great spin and takes on classic food. I had the house burger and it was well cooked and well made with so many great flavors. Spicy fries were awesome. Drinks were made well, definitely try the blackberry gin rickey. My wife and I will definitely visit again in the future.

We made a reservation, and although walk in we're being seated. We were seated at a table crowded near the next table although there was available seating near the window, which looked much more comfortable . Had coffee with lipstick on the cup, waited too long for it to be replaced, and because we sat so close to the next table it was deposited on their table. We will never return

In a nice corner of Hell's Kitchen with dimmed lights and candles a rather cold reception and glacial Cerberus dog hosting those whom have dared (?) to make a reservation... I asked to be seated on the terrace and a " first arrived first served" was the sharp answer. Then after being seated in a corner table, we had to face to an impossible choice of wines... and a server shaking the bottle of a fine red Malbec before serving ! Food was fair, defenitely overloaded with lipids, impossible to finish the "house burger" so dry and with a huge bread covering the whole with no vegetables or fresh salad... luckily the few muscular customers were nice to stare at. No Eatery for me for long time specially for my birthday !

I went for brunch with a group of 5, including my 6 year old cousin. They had a regular kids' menu, but nothing on it was brunch or breakfast food, so we struggled to find something the picky eater would want. Additionally, they completely forgot to brink one of our drinks, and it was hard to get someone's attention to remind them, despite the restaurant not being that full. The food was excellent as usual though!

We had family in from out of town staying at the Hilton. This was a short walk toward restaurant alley and worth the short walk. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with selections. The apps were mixed in my opinion but all tasty. The entrees were all as expected and I would say good eats for the value. The décor is very simple unless you are eating outside (only for smaller groups 2 or 4). The bar looked very small but the drinks we order for the table were excellent. Overall a very solid experience.

We met a friend for brunch and had a really great meal. A panini, a turkey burger, and lemon ricotta pancakes all turned out well. My Maker's Mark Arnold Palmer was delicious as well. Joined 2 friends for brunch this weekend upon a recommendation. Service was awesome. I had to wait for two and the bartender came around to offer me water while I waited. Classy touch. Our waiter could answer all questions on the menu and joked about being on the hook if I was disappointed. Food came, we all loved our meal. Try the Ricotta Pancakes, they rock!

I had an omelette with smoked mozzarella and sausage (with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic). Great flavor combination. Wife had lemon ricotta pancakes - also wonderful. Service was great - our waiter Abe was really informative, friendly and just the right amount of attention to our needs.

The Eatery has consistently good food and upbeat and efficient service. Their fish dishes are fresh and beautifully prepared, the Mac and Cheese is great comfort food, and their salads are crisp and flavorful.
