Eastland Cafe was as delightful and enjoyable as the past visits. Food was superb! The wrapped Salmon was best I've tasted. Kelly was our server, for the second time, and though busy w/ other tables, very attentive, helpful, and charming. Thanks for the wine tip, Kelly! Eastland continues to be a fave!

very busy, they should have handed out ear plugs at the door, it was really that bad. Service was great. We were sent to the bar at first when our table was not available. The bartender was terrific, funny etc. When were were seated for dinner we were told unfortunately they ran out of shrimp!! so the dish I wanted was not available. The special I had was fine but I was still disappointed that the dish I wanted could not be ordered.

The happy hour menu was great and the portions generous. I ordered a pizza. The person making the pizza was behind and I didn't get my pizza till everyone else at my table finished their meal. Our waiter asked if I wanted to wait for it and I did. It was very good and puping hot. He didn't charge me for it and I had ordered something else off the happy hour menu so everything worked out great. I would recommend this restaurant to others and go back again.

Great food, really nice place but loud. Make sure to get a table on the opposite side of the bar. We made the mistake of sitting at a table right next to the bar, which made it a little uncomfortably loud. They have a partition wall in the middle of the restaurant that blocks some of the noise. Definitely sit on the other side of the partition!

Picked blindly for group of 13. No bad luck here- try the goat cheese brûlée, and salmon in parchment was luscious. Had an unpacked chard that was out of this world!!! Asked chef to come to table and it was the sous chef. Next top chef- maybe????

We intended upon eating full meals, but found the list of tapas so varied that we ordered four and the bibb salad and were satisfied. But the highlight of the meal was dessert. The apple donuts with gelato were incredible. Our waiter described them as high-brow carnival food; I've never been so interested in joining a carnival. We like eating early and were surprised and delighted at the wonderful happy hour specials on food and martinis.

Whlle the food here is very good, I cannot highly recommend Eastland Cafe simply because it's way too noisy. My partner and I were yelling at eachother and we were only a foot apart. It was exhausting trying to have a conversation. There are too many hard surfaces in the room so the sounds just bounces around everywhere. We will only go back if we can sit outside at a tolerable noise level. It's too bad, because there are a lot of things I like about the Eastland Cafe, the noise just overrides them all.

Eastland Cafe is one of the best restaurants in East Nashville, and that's saying something. Our party of four shared appetizers and ordered different entrees. Everyone raved about their selection. I would also highly recommend the green chile mac-n-cheese as a side to share. It was really good! Eastland also had good cocktails and a decent wine list. Can't wait to come back.

We had a really wonderful meal at Eastland Cafe about six months ago with interesting and delicious salads and entrees and were looking forward to going again and taking friends. However, the menu had changed, the salads all sounded ho hum and not unusual and our entrees were the same. Nothing remarkable. The $29 fish entree was definitely not worth the price. We will try some place different next time we head to East Nashville.

First time dining at the Eastland cafe. Heard good things, and was not disappointed. Positives: wonderful environment, vibrant, modern but with the feel of a quaint neighborhood cafe. Had the snapper with locally grown cherry tomatoes and fried oysters, and it was fantastic. Decent beer list. Negatives: Service was a tad slow. The server may have been new. Also, it's a tad pricey. Will be coming back soon, though

I don't usually write reviews but my wife's and my experience was such a delight that it's warranted. Started with having to move reservation back 30 minutes and Henry was happy to accommodate. Our waiter, Justin, was friendly and engaging without taking over. He was happy to bring a second taste of wine when the first red I tried wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I'm not enough of a wine guy/foodie to describe what it is that I like in a wine, so I greatly appreciated his willingness to help me. The atmosphere was cool. The food was fantastic and Justin anticipated our needs and we never needed to flag him down. Really look forward to our next dinner at Eastland Cafe.

The special fish dish was excellent. The local veggies and sauce made the meal. What desserts! We had two; the smores and granny smith apple donut with salted caramel ice cream were awesome. Waitress asked which we liked better, but we were all stumped as to which was the winner.

Within 30 minutes of sitting down, we still had not been served our drink order. The whole experience took about 2 hours. Our server was not very attentive, although I feel like this is because she was working many tables and they were understaffed. The food was very great, but we just wished the service was more attentive.

Our first time to this restaurant. Very good food and nice atmosphere. We had table for four by window which was nice. I and another in our party had the salmon, one had scrimp dish Nd my husband had the special which was a steak. He said it was just okay but the macaroni and cheese side dish was very good. I also ordered the fried green tomatoes which were excellent. I would return for another visit.

Eastland Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Nashville to take my wife to. Friendly and accommodating hostess, cosy bar with refreshing libations & unique and flavorful dishes are all qualities that make this trendy cafe standout from the rest. As a whole, Eastland Cafe is ok but they changed the beet salad which was our whole reason for going there in the 1st place. The new version is nothing to write home about and the service the last couple of times has been mediocre. A few weeks ago we requested to sit outside which they wouldn't do because it "might" rain (with no clouds in the sky). We agreed to sit inside but the host made a big deal of saying that he would "take care of us" and offered to send over an appetizer which never came. Still, no big deal but don't say you're going to do something and not follow through. Then our server admittedly just "forgot" about our table. Our last visit was nothing special, food was just ok, service was ehhh...won't be back any time soon.

I was traveling in a group of 6 people from Philadelphia. We stumbled upon Eastland Cafe from Yelp and Opentable. It had good reviews (4 stars) which I think were head on. If you want good food and great service, this is a good place to come. I thought that my duck could have used a little more sauce and the skin was not as crisp as I would have liked. Other than that the people I went with seemed to like the food and ambiance. Over all we agreed the prices were slightly higher than justified. Overall it is a solid 4 star rating.

I've now been to Eastland Cafe twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The vibe and decor of the place is trendy, but not too pretentious. The menu is short, but diverse enough to give you plenty of options. Whenever I want to keep coming back to a place to try more dishes, that's when I know it is a quality restaurant. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable as well. That's just the icing on the cake for me.
