"Food was the main highlight here... Beyond the usual fare of Pho, they had a impressive assortment of main course dishes that was quite good. We had the crepes for an appetizer. For the main course we had the clay pot beef stew and a seafood with crispy noodles. All of which we highly recommend."

"After reading a lot of negative reviews about the service, I was hesitant to bring a party of eight, but one in our party assured us that he had spoken with the owner and that the service issues had been overcome. What I found was that the service was average for a restaurant this size. The food, however, didn't even meet that mark. I ordered a vegetarian noodle dish that tasted of little more than water and brown paste. The cha-gio had a great crunchy outside but were mushy on the inside; several items on the menu were not available. The complimentary shrimp toast and boiled peanuts were good, but I suspect they weren't prepared in this restaurant's kitchen."

"We changed our party from 8 to 10 then 10-12 at the last minute and they handled it without a problem. The food was great, the service perfect. It was a Thursday night after 8:00 so it was not busy. They do not yet have a full liquor license but wine and beer was available. Would definitely go again and recommend it."

"Our experience at East Wind was quite good with only one disquieting note. The food was excellent; my friend who spent three years in Saigon was impressed with the authenticity of the dishes we had. Our principal server was very friendly and helpful. We were there on a Friday night and it was only partly filled which meant it was very easy to carry on a discussion. The only issue was that we were going on to a performance and when I ordered dessert it was conditioned on the fact that they could produce it within 7 minutes. In fact 15 min passed which meant we had to leave without me trying the friend bananas. It took some negotiations to get the cost of the dessert taken off our bill. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner"

"Delicious food, slow service! Will definitely come back but probably when I'm not quite as hungry. The manager did apologize for the wait at the end of the meal, though, apparently it was the busiest night they've ever had!"

"East Wind is a new Vietnamese restaurant to Fairfax. The food is very good. We did not try the Pho but now that Winter is here, we will try it on our next trip. The owner boast that they have the best Pho in the area. I would highly recommended stopping by. We had the Curry Chicken and the Lemongrass Chicken. Both dishes were spicy but not too spicy and very flavorful"
