  • "Staff was very friendly and attentive. I love the view of the ocean and the fine food."

  • "This restaurant does a great job, considering how many people are always there. The place was packed in every room. The menu is very diverse for our family( appetizers/sandwiches/dinners). No matter how busy they are....( and they sure are ) we never feel rushed. Friendly staff, great food, super view...its a home run!!"

  • "Had a wonderful dinner, but when I got my bank statement, I noticed they forgot to add on the tip. I have to go back to the restaurant and find the waitress to give her the tip. She was very nice and I would hate to have her think we stiffed her."

  • "The food was good. We were with another couple and it was my wife's birthday. The guys ordered steak. It was tender and good flavor but we both ordered medium and got medium well to well. My wife had cod which was excellent. The service was very good and unobtrusive. It was a very busy night and the noise level was fairly high (energetic?) and really didn't make for good conversation. My wife and have been here several times before. Normally i would have given a 4 -5 star on previous occasions but I couldn't on this occasion. I will go back."

  • "This restaurant is fantastic. It has such great food as well as service. They were so accommodating for my birthday and had excellent staff. Our waiter did not even need to write down our orders but still remembered them perfectly. Great experience. Would definitely recommend."

  • "We always enjoy going to The East Bay. The food is always good, the service as well. Although it is VERY busy on March 17, they never skip a beat. The food was great as well as the Guinness!"

  • "We were at East Bay for lunch by chance on St. Patrick's day and they were only serving from their dinner menu for lunch. To eat light, I ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer which was fine for quantity but not the freshest I've had. My husband had a burger which was decent/fine. Service was fine/attentive. They were clearly prepared for revelers - not the type of experience we generally gravitate towards."

  • "East Bay does everything right - another awesome meal and amazing service. Cannot wait to go back. Great job"

  • "But apparently EBG is quite the St. Patty's hot-spot, which was not was I was expecting nor what I wanted. Went for a family-birthday dinner w/ a 4 1/2 month infant in tow on Sunday, 3/16 at 6pm - was VERY loud b/w the chatter of "spirited" green-clad patrons and Irish music blaring. It was pretty difficult to have a conversation that included the whole table (of 6) since we couldn't hear each other from one end to the other. Food was decent, but I've had better (from there, and other restaurants) - my husband's mixed-grill was both overcooked (dry) and semi-cold (his was obviously the first dish ready). Service was relatively fast, given the amount of people there."

  • "The cod was not tasty at all. However, the steak tips were above all things on earth. The bacon wrap of scallops was great too. Thanks for a nice time / meal over all ."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "EBG has the best wait staff in the area. It's usually very busy, but the wait staff manages to make every meal enjoyable."

  • "Although East Bay Grille is a favorite outside summer time dining spot, I can definitely recommend it for inside dining too. The menu is extensive and everything from our appetizers to dessert was delicious. We attended to celebrate our daughter's graduation and we all got different dishes. Everyone was happy with their order. Service was prompt and courteous. East Bay Grille is now on our list of year round avorite restaurants!"

  • "I am a vegetarian and I wish I had more options other than the standard Pasta Primavera! My husband who is not a vegetarian had many options and could not decide what he wanted. The prices are a little high but maybe not for the area. The restaurant was very busy and it was a Tuesday night so make reservations. Good wine and drink list too!"

  • "We had resevations and had requested a booth and they accomodated us. There were 4 people in our party and everyone loved their meal (the scallop gnocchi and seafood kristopher were fantastic!) Very nice atmosphere, although one person in our party really had trouble reading the menu because of the lighting. It was a Saturday night and they were very busy. I would not recommend going without a reservation."

  • "Sunday afternoon dinner. Large tasty portions. Perfectly prepared food. Great service, Nice views of the snowy tundra, which Plymouth became after the 12" snowfall the nite before. Friendly staff. My only complaint is one I make often at restaurants, the portions were really too large for an average diner, and both of us took food home. Loved the bar area, where we had a Bloody mary before being seated at our window table for dinner. Will surely check out East Bay Grille again in the summer months."

  • "This was my third visit to East Bay Grille. I'm not sure if it was the meal I ordered (salmon with bernaise sauce, mushroom risotto and broccoli) but it was very bland. I love this restaurant for its atmosphere and menu selection. My first time for dinner I had the turkey tips and they were delicious! I'm planning to go back soon as I'm thinking it could have been a bad selection."

  • "I normally rave about the East Bay Grille. The food is expensive but it's usually so good, I don't mind paying a bit more for my meal. Unfortunately, the food we had this past weekend was anything but good. While the service and atmosphere were both excellent, the food was not. Three of our party ordered the swordfish from the menu (not the special). We all agreed that the sauce and the risotto were very good, but the fish was overcooked, which really spoiled the whole thing. My husband had everything tuna and he commented that it was just okay. If you're going to charge $26-$28 for a piece of fish, you better know how to cook it! Disappointing meal!"

  • "Seven of us celebrated a birthday Saturday night at EBG. The place was jammed; seating was within 15 minutes of our reservation. We ordered the impressive Raw Bar Boat for $60 - go ahead, it was fantastic: big cocktail shrimp, little necks, oysters, lump crab, 1/2 lobster - all fresh, enough for all to have a good tasting. Entrees were also very well done - stuffed shrimp (way above average) bronzed halibut (yummy but portion on the small side) and cod bruschetta style (lots of cod). We brought our own cake for the Happy Birthday. The lady who served our table was excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and there when you needed. It was a wonderful 2 1/2 hour dinner; about $500 with tip; 2 bottles of wine and coffees. EBG never disappoints!!"

  • "We arrived right at 7:30- time of our reservations. There was an overflow crowd, not surprising for such a great venue, so wondered how long the wait would be. After showing the hostess our Open Table reservation confirmation on my phone, we were seated immediately, by the windows. Great seat and a very attentive & fun waitress. Food was exceptional. The swordfish picatta was perfectly done & tasted amazing! The others had Broiled scallops; Seafood Kristopher and the Salmon. All were very pleased with their choices. We totally enjoyed the evening which felt very comfortable, not rushed. When leaving we heard there was entertainment starting in the lounge. What a great place for an evening with a date, spouse, friends, family or co-workers."

  • "Reservations made for 6- requesting a remote table away from the noise of the bar- where we could leisurely eat and catch up. Everything was done to do just that! .. Our table was perfect- Both service and food was very good.."

  • "We decided that we wanted to take a try at East Bay Grille . Because it came so highly recommended. It was nothing short of the praise it receives. We had the shrimp tempura for an app and I had the scallops and gnocchi. Both were phenomenal My wife had the swordfish steak and loved it with the risotto. We brought along our 11 month old and were a bit nervous because the place gets a rep for being fancy. It was completely fine and the staff were fantastic with her."

  • "Got the scrod. The fish was cooked previously and then grossly microwaved until it was dry and hard around all edges. The mashed potatoes were so salty, like they were cooked in sea water and sea water was used while mashing them. altogether a very poor meal. my guest had the clam chowder and could only stomach half of it. He also had the scallops wrapped in bacon which also appeared to be previously cooked and then microwaved grossly until tough and dry. He also left three quarters of them on the dish. A total embarrassment to bring guests to this restaurant. I will never return."

  • "This is a great place for a Saturday lunch with family. The risotto balls are very tasty and the shrimp cocktail was good. The baked scrod was bland but the fish tacos were fabulous as was the tuna and fish sandwich. The kids burger is big for a kid and our 6 year old only ate half of it. The wine selections is really good an the service was excellent. We will return again."

  • "We sat at the bar first There were 8 of us, celebrating a birthday. We ordered appit & drinks, Bartenders were great! As well as the food! We had 6 pm res. & 3 couples ordered the special w/ was Dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine. 2 of us ordered the steak tips rare they were cooked med & I sent mine back. The Manager came over and apologized for it & offered a free dessert. The food wasn't hot! More warm. The other two that ordered of the menu had ordered broiled fish and found a bone in it. Thought that the Manager could have taken at least one dinner of the bill seeing that I ate later then the others. The wait staff was friendly and service was good. I would like to try it again. Our group age ranged from 49-65"

Had two different seafood entress and both were superb. We visit this area once a year and always make this place absolute "MUST"!"

  • "I recently dined at East Bay with five adult family members. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, from soup to dessert. Our waitress was outstanding. The lighting could have been a bit softer, and it got a bit loud in the dining room, but otherwise it was a great evening."

  • "We've dined here several times and will continue coming back. Service was great, food delicious, great views in daylight. I had one of the specials which used to be on the regular menu, I believe it was called Baked Nantucket Schrod. It came with brown rice pilaf, green beans and halved cherry tomatoes. I did encounter several bones in the fish; otherwise it was cooked to perfection. Our dining partners also enjoyed their meals as well with no complaints. We would definitely go back and during nice weather would like to try dining outside."

  • "Oh my goodness a party of 18 LOUD 40 year olds were seated in the middle of the restaurant hootin' and hollering. I usually love east bay grille but will be avoiding it in December from now on. The salmon is usually fabulous - I tried the turkey tips this time and they were tough. I usually give the place a 5 out of 5 but today they get a 2 :("
