This is my new favourite weekend brunch spot in Toronto. They take reservations (most other Toronto restaurants don't), there wasn't one screaming kid to be seen/heard, the service is lovely from start to finish and the room is comfortable and quiet (music was played at a perfect level), conversation was easy. The two friends I took to brunch had never been to Earth Rosedale and both agreed we would be back again (and again). The brunch menu is not exhaustive, but there is something for everyone, whether they are craving a classic breakfast dish or a lunch. What I like most about Earth Rosedale - and Globe - is that they care! Every time I have been treated as a valued guest. Thank you for a lovely brunch!

My partner and I went to Earth for a belated Valentines day & to take advantage of the great Winterlicious menu. The overall experience was pretty fantastic & the food was great & the service left a little to be desire (though I think they have a real explanation for it!). When my partner & I arrived, there was a group of three walk-ins that were turned away (despite many open tables) with a kind apology & explanation that their servers were overwhelmed. Every body was in such high spirits and so very polite, but there were only two servers working (I assume due to staff cancelling, not poor staff management) & it really did mean longer than normal wait times. Without question we would come back another time despite this minor hiccup.

My only complaint would be their wine list which has limited options by half litre or less and which most are Ontario wines that I personally dont enjoy. In their defense they do have non - Ontario options by the bottle but as I drink Red and the Gf drinks White it doesnt work for us when driving. Everything else is really good. Food was excellent. Service was fantastic and the room is really comfortable. Highly recommend. $240 ...food..vino..tax and tip.

The menu doesn't clearly covey the spices and favours you can expect to experience. For example, the stuffed eggplant had an overwhelming flavor of coriander/cilantro (my least favourite flavor); had I known I would have picked another dish. Also the service was very slow and the server wasn't even friendly.

Earth Rosedale's serving portions were some of the smallest and blandest we have ever seen. I'm not sure if this was because the restaurant cheaped out with this being a Winterlicious prix fixe menu, but when you're paying over $100 for a dinner for two with wine, the expectations should be for a pleasant and filling meal. We had to struggle to find the lamb in our mains, which were bulked up with chick peas: totally not what was expected. The server was pleasant, but when he asked me how my dessert was, my boyfriend wished he asked him as well because he was not happy with his chocolate custard: "Just three spoons of it, spread out on a half empty bowl! I think they forgot the pudding to go with the custard. Tight! I can do much better!!"

This place was great for winterlicious as it is a little above my average pricepoint for a meal. unless it is a special occasion. the restaurant décor is nice dim light, dark colours, and I see potential for wonderful summer patio (runs along 2 sides of the place) dining or drinks. The menu was amazing and the food was quite tasty (the place specializes in different meats, cuts of game, ect) but I was a little disappointed with size of entrée. maybe because of winterlicious they cut back, but both mine and my guests dish was tiny! we ate every speck of food we received...haha. my highlight was the dessert- spice cake with ginger mousse, it was amazing and different from the usual stack winterlicious menus provide.

Attentive service and delicious, comforting and hearty meals. My partner and I enjoyed Earths local dishes, including a lamb tagine, and cassoulet. The cassoulet included local sausage, duck confit and bacon smoked white beans, with some of the most flavour filled roasted heirloom carrots. The lamb tagine was satisfying, but my partner was looking forward to a more dried fruit and spiced dish. My favourite of the night was the winter spice cake. Typical cakes are not always my first choice, but the texture of this winter spice cake was closer to a dense and moist banana bread, which was worth savouring. Over all a win over other Winterlicious menus.

I came here with two friends for Winterlicious. This was my first time at Earth and based on the menu, I knew the food was going to be fairly healthy. I had the Smoked Trout Rilletes, Cassoulet and the Spice Cake. The flavours were balanced in each of the courses and it gave me a good idea of what to expect when I come again for their regular menu. The cassoulet was definitely a highlight. Each time you dug into the beans, you would grab a bit of the duck confit. Yum! Service was excellent. It was very packed that night and the server still took the time to take not one but 3 photos on a camera and a phone.

Came here for a birthday on a friday night for the first time, it was only half full so we managed to get a table by the window. The menu is very select, and not too many choices. We ordered the mussels and I had the tagliatelle, others ordered the halibut and the choucroute. I ended up having a stomach ache, but others were fine. The halibut was a bit salty. The waitress was a bit abrasive when letting us know that we ordered a white wine instead of the red, however the other servers were polite.

The food was good but nothing I couldn't make myself at home. Fish was well cooked with crispy skin but sides were so under seasoned that I do make a better quinoa salad myself at home. Steak was cooked I order and tastes good but nothing special. U will say chefs sampler plate of apps showed creativity and complex tastes that didn't show up unfortunately in the rest of the meal. We went on a quiet night but service was fast and high quality.

I found the ambiance great, but the food came kind of slow, ended up having a 1 1/2- 2 hr lunch even though we were strapped for time that day. I ordered the beef wellington steak strips and they were REALLY salty, my girlfriend's sturgeon was under seasoned. But the drinks were absolutely delicious and so was the dessert so in the end my belly was full and I ended up being a happy camper.

I had booked a reservation and it took 45 minutes to get a table, and 30 minutes to get service at the bar. We had the summerlious menu and the food was absolutely terrible. The salad was four slices of tomatoe, the arctic char was small and overcooked and entirely fishy (our whole table found the fish fishy), and the pistachio custard was the consistency of soup and overly sweet. The servings were very small. The service was aloof and unfriendly. The food took over two hours to be served, and took an hour to get an uncooked dessert. I had to physically find our server for the check, and the staff was cleaning up and closing up the restaurant while we were still eating. Not worth the wait nor price, at all. Will never go back.

Went here for Summerlicious, and I feel like this was probably the best value restaurant I attended for the festival, at only $25 for dinner. It was a little odd that they tried to seat me at a different table when I had told them the other member of my party was already there, but the service was consistent, and they even noted I had forgotten my umbrella at the end of the meal. The food was quite flavourful, even though some of the portions were off. Both the appetizer and entree were very good; the dessert was a little too sweet for me to finish (maybe it goes back to my point about portions?) The ambiance is great, with a large variety of lights, yet still keeping a low-lighting environment.

Went for summerlicious. Restaurant itself is very beautiful and huge - we were amazed by the attention to little details. Definitely a great restaurant to have a party/get-together. Service was great, though a bit rushed. They are a bit eager to take your course off your table and bring you the next one. They were always really attentive about refilling the water though :) Food was good, not amazing. Have had better summerlicious $25 menu food at other restaurants. The vegetarian pasta was bland, had no real flavour. The appetizer and dessert were great though. Would return to this restaurant maybe for a special occasion as the regular menu seemed quite pricey. The location's great as you can find lots of free street parking around.

Outstanding. Local / Ontario centric, clean tastes & textures, lovely venue, class service. Appetizers: a cold zucchini soup that was light and substantial and silky; smoked sturgeon with tiny paperthin whimsical potato chips to complement it. Entrees: the most delectable beef, on a layer of fresh sweet peas; arctic char done to perfection. Desserts also truly excellent -- just coffee and dessert would be a grand treat -- but in my memory of this lunch the appetizers & main dishes totally stole the show. Clearly the chef is having real fun framing great ingredients to shine on their own merits. The chef's pleasure came through to the table & we were able to share it & that put the cap on the meal -- it was personal.

the tomato salads were fine; the smoked fish was very chewy to the point where it was hard to swallow and unpleasant and the potatoe salad didn't do anything for it; I wanted to like the quinoa dish but it just wasn't very interesting and it got worse after pairing it with the steak (which was our choice but still, not a good place to go). The fish was good for the most part but it wasn't a good veg pairing with it. The veg pasta was too oily and not tasty enough for all the oil. The cake dessert was not very interesting; the icecream sandwhich was very good but the pistachio soup that the choc mousse sat in was a little disturbing. Service was great and it's a lovely restaurant. I really want to like this place but I just don't.

Ate lunch here from the Summerlicious menu. The outdoor eating areas are very nice--you can get more sun out front or some peace and quiet in the shaded patio. The food was quite good, I had the chorizo pogo as an appetizer (with some nice coarse grain mustard) and the arctic char as my entree. The fish was delicious. Overall the service was prompt and attentive, and I would definitely consider coming back again the next time I'm in Toronto.

Smoked Sturgeon 5/5 Sorrel potato salad, pickled onions, upland cress. Smokey flavor of this sturgeon! The pickled onions balanced the flavors of the potato salad which inevitably complimented the dish Hay Roasted Pork Tenderloin 4.5/5 Algonquin corn grits, savoy spinach, charred red onion chutney. Perfect balance of sweetness with the corn grits, red onions to compliment the charred pork. The bland savoy spinach added balance!!
