Nestled amongst balsam trees and birch forest, Earth is the result of a vision—one that embraces community and supports relationships between the world of outstanding cuisine and the farmers and foragers who provide the tools with which we compose incredible fare. Simple yet innovative, Earth"s menu focuses on "farm to fork" freshness.   • "I had been waiting for a special occasion to visit Earth, and my 40th birthday was just the occasion. My wife, mother and I went on a Saturday night in the middle of Summer, arriving 20m before our reservation time, they sat us right away. Staff was very attentive and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We never felt rushed. The food at Earth is amazing. Local produce, meat and seafood. Everything on the menu looked and sounded fantastic. Everything we ordered (and shared!) was excellent. The crab toast is a revelation. Fresh doughnut dessert is a must. Great wine, beer & cocktails too. You can't go wrong at any of Chef Oringer's restaurants, and Earth is no exception. Fantastic vibe, and the cuisine is exactly what you'd expect."

The incredible service would alone have made experience memorable but food was absolutely spectacular. Received great recommendations on wine and courses (always curious to hear detailed descriptions to help decide and our server masterfully delivered). We were celebrating anniversary and everyone helped to make it a perfect evening. To cap it off our server recommended we finish our bottle of wine and order dessert on couch by the fire. Absolutely perfect way to end the evening. Thank you for one of our best and most memorable dining experiences."

  • "I have had the pleasure to east at Earth multiple times since it opened. The experience this time was very disappointing at all levels. The foie gras appetizer was burned , and nothing close to resembling seared foie gras. In hindsight, I should have sent the dish back to the kitchen. The seafood paella was a put full of grease. The service was average, but disappointing given the restaurants prices. The waitress brought the wrong glass of wine multiple times. She clearly did not have a good understanding of the menu. Overall, I will have a difficult time making another reservation at this restaurant given the multiple other options in the area."

  • "We were a group of 6 person from our family when get there . Like the food . A bit expensive an even overprized for some plates . The crab plate as an apetizer was amazing . I would recommanded for sure . A bit noizy even if we were on the patio part part next to the restaurant . And the air conditionned was to cold . The restaurant should take a look at the prizes of their wine list when it's served by glass . 15 $ for a glass for a regular wine ???? But overall ,for the food and the look of the restaurant , the experience was fine ."

  • "This is one of the coolest places I have dined at in a long time. It's at Hidden Pond, which is off the beaten path, reached by some pretty windy roads. It's nestled in a cottage resort community, next to the spa. There is outdoor seating around the pool, and a fire pit for enjoying drinks after dinner. The restaurant itself is very rustic-looking, but at the same time you feel like you are in an upscale urban restaurant. The food is far from rustic, however. the restaurant features farm-to-table ingredients, beautifully prepared, plus delicious craft cocktails. Tip: You need to reserve well in advance. But, the outside area is first-come, first served, so you could get lucky if you walk in."

  • "My husband and I chose Earth for our 56th wedding anniversary celebration. Our tradition is to dine at a special restaurant, and we feel Earth fit our criteria. After we were seated, our wait person appeared at our table with complimentary glasses of prosecco - a delightful surprise (information I believe was forwarded from the hotel where we were staying). Our wait person gave us excellent descriptions of the preparation of the items ordered. Loved the tuna poke, and my husband really enjoyed the fried oysters. We both enjoyed the local seafood paella with fresh garden peas. Dessert was spectacular - strawberry rhubarb tart with gooseberries and ice cream on the side - and a celebratory candle as well. It was a wonderful evening."

  • "What a uniquely different experience in Maine! Tucked away in a deeply wooded area accessible only by dirt roads - this restaurant was a huge surprise and a big delight! We were welcomed by the smell of a wood fire and the glow of candlelight from every table in the great room. Service was impeccable, and each course nicely presented. Our cocktails were delicious and the wine list adequate. Service was top-notch and the attention to our vegetarian requests were happily attended. Tempted by the unusual fiddleheads on the menu - one downside to the meal was the over fried presentation of them. The tuna poke would have been better less the syrupy sweetness. Our dinners were delicious. Overall -still an A+ Experience!"

We also had the tortellini pasta which was buttery and so flavorful! They were like little pillows! For entrees we enjoyed the lobster, scallops, and seafood paella. Our favorites were definitely the lobster and scallops. Everyone was happy with their beer and wine choices. We also tried the sangria and gimlet cocktails which were yummy! Dessert was also just incredible with the homemade donuts and blondie with lemon curd. Wonderful finish to an already great meal."

  • "My husband and I planned a weekend up in Kennebunkport, ME last weekend and we heard Ken Oringer had opened a place up there so last minute, we booked a late Friday night dinner. It was beyond outstanding. From the moment we walked in and smelled the wonderful aroma from fireplace, the off-the-hook decor, the friendly/knowledgeable/cheerful staff and prompt service to the amazing food - we were so not disappointed. The grilled lobster was pure perfection - expertly grilled and not dry or overcooked. I'm already craving it again. I would absolutely return to this restaurant (heck, might even stay at the luxurious resort it's in)!!! Go if you haven't yet!"

The restaurant decor is very woodsy and warm. We had the grilled lobster and diver scallop dishes. Both were very good. The prices are a bit steep however the experience is worth it."

  • "Earth at Hidden Pond was a unique venue (who has a tree hanging upside down from the ceiling as a chandelier?!), in a gorgeous setting, that served extraordinary food. The staff was so friendly and helpful, making the menu details accessible in an inclusive fashion, and the kitchen is eager to please. There are even garden sheds that can be reserved for small parties to dine privately. The price was incredibly reasonable, too, for the caliber of the food and drink being served -- I thought our bill had been miscalculated! What a wonderful spot for a special meal! Can't wait to return!"

  • "I love the concept of Earth, but there is an obvious disconnect between the level of service and style of food. For the prices and level of commitment that the kitchen is obviously taking seriously, the service staff should be stepping up their game. Guiding customers through the menu, knowing the wine list, attitude, and the timing of courses should all be improved. The only complaint we had about the food was size of the full portion of pasta. It was WAY too small (only 6 small bites). Maybe we accidentally received a half portion or the server was annoyed that we were sharing everything. The restaurant seems casual so we thought this was appropriate. Maybe they should consider a prix-fixe menu."
