A word from Earth at Hidden Pond
A collaboration with James Beard Award-winner and Boston restaurateur Ken Oringer, Earth promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you yearning for more. Nestled amongst balsam trees and birch forest, Earth is the result of a vision—one that embraces community and supports relationships between the world of outstanding cuisine and the farmers and foragers who provide the tools with which we compose incredible fare. Simple yet innovative, Earth"s menu focuses on "farm to fork" freshness. In addition to local meats and seafood, ingredients are used from one of two onsite organic gardens—picked daily and incorporated into each dish to enhance the many flavors and provide a taste that only fresh ingredients deliver.Continued

  • "Rustic - Schick, Beautiful setting with a great fireplace and bar. Local, sustainable, small producers. The one exception was bottled water. (waitress admitted most guest do not like the taste of well water) Food from drinks and appetizers through desert were very good. Not a bad note anywhere. Warning - We were told this was a coat and tie place - Not so. Business casual at most. Shorts and Ts would not fit - NO TIES. Enjoy the drive Get there before dark, or good luck finding it."

  • "Earth creatively cooks and present a great variety of locally sourced foods. The chef deserves his many accolades. Hard to imagine that a simply dressed plate of heirloom tomatoes could be so stunningly flavorful and exotic. The starters are well worth sampling. Sharing dishes is welcomed. The wood fired oven grilled food , especially the pizzas, are consistently superb. The surroundings are over the top! It might be best described as a fantasy version of Northern Exposure log cabin with touches of 21st centuiry moderne. The back bar's floor to ceiling display of liquor bottles is impressive. The immediate outdoor surroundings include the hidden pond, a smartly designed swimming pool and even a roaring bonfire the night we dined.."

  • "A restaurant at this price point needs to have it's level of service at a much higher level. Upon arrival we were left standing at the hostess station while the hostess discussed some issue with another employee. Once seated we ordered drinks and then waited twenty minutes for them to arrive. The wait was so long that we had ordered dinner before they arrived."

  • "This is my 2nd time at Earth and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is so beautiful with soft lighting and music. The food is extraordinarily clean, fresh and beautifully layered with flavor and each bite only leaves you wanting more! I look forward to returning next season. • "This place rates right up there is the best restaurants in New England if not the US. A creative menu in a spectacular venue. Every dish was superb. I wish this place were a little closer to Boston but it is worth the drive even if only for the evening. If the weather complies the outdoor tables in the garden are a real treat. Add a small pasta plate in between appetizer and main course - they are unique and tasty. Bravo !! (ignore the negative or averate reviews there is nothing short of outstanding at this place)."
