Diner Reviews
  • "The Eagle's Nest was the perfect spot for celebrating an anniversary. We went around sunset, so the view was spectacular. Our waiter was extremely nice and tried to make our experience as personal as possible. The food and drinks were very good, although a little pricey (which I expected for a place like this). I would recommend this restaurant for those celebrating something special!"

  • "The food and service were excellent. The sun in our eyes, two times in our rotation, was not fun. Second time around I put on my sunglasses. "

  • "While the idea of this restaurant seems grand, the only thing grand about it are the prices. The food is way overpriced, arrives too quickly, and the servers kept wanting to take our plates away before we were finished. The view is the only thing going for this restaurant and the windows are dirty. Yuck! The wines were way overpriced and the food has to be prepared ahead and warmed up. Very cheap. Not impressed. The sunset was the only redeeming quality."

  • "I was highly disappointed in the food for the prices I paid. The vegetarian dish was soggy and bland. The atmosphere was very comfortable though. Very beautiful. Service was decent. My waiter was somewhat rude. "

  • "My husband and I went there for the first time Wednesday night, April 16. When we were seated it was still daylight, so we got to enjoy that view for awhile. After a half hour or so, the sun set and it was beautiful! Not only that but the food was better than I expected, and everyone, from the hostess to the waitress was exceptional. They were very attentive and friendly. We plan to go back when we're in the area. "

  • "When we want a unique night out, we "turn" to Eagle's Nest. Everything about the experience "moves" us - food, service, ambiance, location, views."

  • "We went to Eagle's Nest to end our Spring Break 2014 we had a staycation. Our waitress was super nice, Rene. Portions are big."

  • "The Eagle's Nest restaurant was an excellent choice for us to celebrate our anniversary with an early evening dinner. The revolving dining room with it's scenic view of downtown Indianapolis was an excellent backdrop as we enjoyed our expertly prepared delicious meal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items and beverages and provided just the right amount of attention to ensure our dinner experience was very memorable and enjoyable. The food was fabulous, the service was excellent, and the ambience was just right. We'll be back for another dining experience."

  • "This is a great date night spot. We went during the work week and it wasn't crowded, our server was fantastic, and the food was excellent. I definitely recommend."

  • "The food was great and the view was spectacular. Definitely a place I would recommend, especially for a special occasion."

  • "We wanted to make my daughter's 13th birthday special and the Eagle's Nest was a perfect choice. The view was fantastic and the food was phenomenal. She enjoyed it so much she asked if we could celebrate there every year, so a new tradition has begun! We were the only family with kids on a Friday night, but felt welcome and not at all out of place. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming and even offered a "kids meal" to my 8-year old that wasn't on the menu."

  • "I had a business dinner here and the restaurant was beautiful. The downfall was the food took way too long to come out and when it did it was not impressive. Many of my guests felt the same way and we will not be back. I got the prime rib and it was overcooked. I would not dare entertain dessert after the horrific wait for dinner. The restaurant was not busy so not sure of the issue."

  • "While the food may seem a bit pricey, you'll quickly realize that it is very worth it because of the included scenic tour of the city. The food was exceptional (I had the salmon) and the wait staff is very prompt and courteous."

  • "Highly recommend. Awesome view and the prime rib was the best I ever had!"

  • "I had a marvelous time at the Eagle's Nest - I arrived 1/2 hour before they opened in order to take pictures without bothering anyone, and they were quite accommodating. I ended up with over 100 great pictures of Indianapolis. Once the dining experience began at 5pm (opening time, before sunset), the service was excellent (I had 2 waiters at times), the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, the rotation was slow and comfortable, and the view was excellent (and changing due to the rotation). The French Onion Soup was outstanding, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were just right for me (I had a 7 oz steak) with mashed potatoes. One of the servers took my picture with my camera for me."

  • "We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. I would highly recommend for a special occasion. The service was fantastic. Our waiter and waitress were very friendly and knowlegable about the menu. The view was breathtaking and my husband and I had so much fun reminising about all the buildings and how much the downtown area has changed thru the years. Would definatly recommend."

  • "Fantastic overall experience from time we arrived until we departed. Nice visit Eagles Nest!"

  • "The setting, ambiance, food and options were excellent. I have no notable complaints, but the only reason I have the "service" 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were a little too aggressive with keeping the table clear (asked multiple times if we were finished with our appetizer and at one point they even began to clear out newly provided, unused silverware). Honestly, we loved the place and can't wait to go back. I hold no ill opinion based on what I put above, just commenting that it's the only thing keeping them from a perfect score. I highly recommend!!!"

  • "View was great. Food was very good. The tables are too close together to be romantic. Overall I think the evening was way too expensive for the quality."

  • "Great place to take visitors to see the city, but definitely not a great meal. I've been to the Nest at least 6 times and have really yet to have a meal that I would brag about... I go strictly for the view (and the Groupon 1/2 price deal)"

  • "For years I had wanted to go to the Eagles Nest but as a single mom it was not possible. That all changed when I finally met my soulmate and in July 2013 we were married. My husband and I were downtown all weekend for a Familylife marriage conference and my husband chose Eagles Nest as our restaurant for date night!! It was amazing !! The service was excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful, it was a very romantic setting with a beautiful view and the food tasted out of this world!! That was the best tasting French onion soup I have ever had !! The steaks were seasoned just perfect!!"

  • "Eagle's Nest definitely has a beautiful view of Indianapolis, and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. However, our dining experience at Eagle's Nest did not stack up with some of our experiences at comparable restaurants. Our main course took over an hour to reach our table, and the food was good, but not outstanding with the cheesecake being the low point - it was dry and boring. For the price, there are many other restaurants I would choose over Eagle's Nest."

  • "I recently took my girlfriend out for her birthday, and when we arrived we were instantly greeted and seated. They were very attentive but not over bearing and very polite. The service was wonderful but tht isn't the main reason why I loved it so much. The food there was incredible! I had the crab crusted halibut, and I honestly can say that I haven't had halibut like that before. It was cooked to perfection and had wonderful taste. I highly recommend eagles nest to anyone that is looking for a romantic date/ celebration. I easily give this place 5 stars! Thanks for the wonderful night!!"

  • "My wife and I went to the Eagle's Nest for our anniversary dinner. We were very pleased with the experience and service. The view of downtown was also spectacular!"

  • "I expect great food at a place such as Eagle's Nest, and we got it. But what sets it apart is the unforgettable revolving view of the city. My wife and I will never forget that we dined there for our fifth anniversary."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food was at best OK. Service was OK. From all of the hype of the Eagle's Nest, I expected to be wowed. I was not. Certainly the view of the city is nice, but if I want a fine dining experience, Indy has much better places to go in the downtown area."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and had a wonderful time seeing the sights of the city from the revolving restraint. The prime rib and filet were as good as any fine restraint in Indy. The cost was comparable also."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "Food and service very good; main courses were excellent, but dessert leaves a little something to be desired (creme' brule' so-so, cheesecake dry and stale - these were taken off our bill). Ambiance is so-so; not that romantic (celebrating our anniversary) but the city views are pretty good. Decor is dated, chairs are definitely too low (wife needed a cushion to sit on)."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "The views can't be beat. The food was very good, we had the surf and turf special. It's very pricey so we won't be making it a regular stop. But nice for a special occasion. The decor needs some updating. The service was attentive (good thing the waiter had plenty of help) but the waiter seemed to care less about our special occasion. In a city full of choices for fine dining I was expecting exceptional service at this price point. Something to make me want to take the elevator ride up to the 22nd floor again. But overall, the food was delicious and service was satisfactory."

  • "Eagle's Nest has one of the best views in the city. Their food is fantastic every time, they don't rush you so can relax and PLEASE don't leave without trying the Chocolate Coffee Cake with cookie crust!"

  • "This was a restaurant experience for a special occasion, and we loved it! The herbed Prime Rib was delicious, as were the crab cakes and salads. Service was outstanding, with all attendants giving personal, yet not too personal service. Although this is a very expensive restaurant, for us it is reasonable for a special dinner out (infrequently). Kudos!"

  • "This is a dining expereience I will never forget! My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate my recent promotion at work and my acceptance to graduate school and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our waiter Jared was the best ever and the food was delicious. The view was breathetaking and it was very romantic. I would highly recommend dining at The Eagles Nest to anyone!"

  • "It was too formal for our liking. It was a special occasion for us, but it was not relaxing. I felt looked down upon. Maybe they shouldn't offer Groupons for this place."

  • "We were at Eagle's Nest for a romantic birthday and that was an incredible moment. The view from Indianapolis is amazing, in a non cloudy day of course. You will be able to have 2 or 3 full turns of the panoramic restaurant, depending on how long you stay. I had the Filet Mignon and it was simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked, great taste. I recommend it for the meat lovers. Served with a Malbec gran reserva or another red wine from the wine list, you will definitely have a very good time. Nothing to say on the service, this is a high level restaurant. Eagle's Nest is a must do in Indianapolis. However this "must do" has a price, just be prepared for it."
