We booked at TEN for dinner before a night home Colts game. The restaurant was probably more energetic than normal, but most places are before a home game. It was snowing, so the views of downtown were a little "foggier" than normal. It was still a beautiful way to see Indy at night! We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of our food. The rolls were to die for! I had a filet and my husband had the Prime Rib. Both were delicious. My only complaint was that the chairs we sat in (table by the windows) were really saggy on the bottoms. I'm on the shorter side, so that put the table just below my chest height. It was awkward, but it didn't stop us from having a great dinner and an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I go the Eagle's Nest when we want a very special dinner date, which is about once or twice a year. I am always ambivalent about the food, and this past Friday was no exception - bland, bland, bland. I know it's Indiana ... but is it a crime to have any spice? Meat with little flavor is not elegant. If the food had spark and matched the excitement of the view, the Eagle's Nest would be rocking, but it's not. We asked three times for them to turn up the heat and it finally happened 10 minutes before we left. The service team is hospitable and wants to help, but the way the place is managed, it seems their best is one step behind. The restaurant reminds me of someone who is smart, can accomplish a lot, but just has no drive or aspiration.

I can not express enough how wonderful this restaurant is! I took my boyfriend here for his 21st birthday because I had heard great things. The view was amazing of Indianapolis! I recommend going at a later time because the lights on all of the buildings are beautiful at night. The food was AMAZING! I ordered the Tofu Spaghetti and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and he was in shock. He said it was the best steak he had ever had. The service was extremely quick and the waitor was very professional. Yes, this place can be pricey, but so worth it! Honestly, not as expensive as I thought it was going to be! We will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I spent our first anniversary here and we love it. I expected to leave not being full, but the waiter recommended the prime rib which was available in 16oz. I got that and was barely able to finish it. The prime rib really is one of the best prime ribs you can find in Indianapolis. I had also read some reviews saying that you're mostly paying for the view but the food truly was excellent for us as well. Great staff from what we can tell. We ended up leaving with a bill of about $80/person after tip. But the experience was well worth it. TIME YOUR DINNER WITH THE SUNSET! It's worth it!

We had our 6 year anniversary at your restaurant this past Saturday. the wait staff and employees were outstanding. As for the food we were not as impressed, we had the rack of elk which i must stay was very delicious, however the steaks salads and soups that we had while they were cooked correctly i personally feel that I could get at any much cheaper restaurant.

Overall the best thing about the Eagles nest was of course the view as the restaurant rotated over Indy. The food was extremely pricey with minimal options. For two people with one alcoholic beverage each we rang up $152 bill. But out of everything we ordered we would only order my wine and the brushetta style appetizer again. The rack of lamb was more rare than anything else, and the Halibut had such a strong flavor it was hard to eat more than a third of the dish. The lobster soup was ok but at $11 a cup rather pricey. And I would recommend skipping the tangerine creme bruelee, very bland. Our server Joseph was attentive and nice. His female assistant however looked like she had just rolled out of bed, odd for a place with a dress code.

My husband and I celebrated out 25th anniversary at the Eagles Nest. I recommend going at sunset, the view was beautiful. We were seated right away, and the wait staff was excellent at making sure our water was refilled, silverware was changed between courses and the food was brought out in a timely manner. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine list. The food was perfect from the appetizers to dessert! The Eagles Nest is a perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion or to just enjoy a special night out in Indianapolis.

The food is pretty good: my husband had the prime rib, with a big baked potato, and (by our standards) overcooked asparagus. He said it was the most flavorful baked potato he had ever eaten. The seared lamb rib eye with mashed potatoes and ragout of peas, asparagus, and lamb demi looked and tasted good, but it was really more of a show piece than a dinner serving, and I needed a beet salad (also tasty) to fill up. The wine was fine but overpriced: $10 for what amounted to half a glass. The view is unique, and the server was both solicitous and knowledgeable. But next time we will probably stick to dessert, which we hear is excellent.

The view & the experience are more what you are paying for than the food. Though the food was very good the quality was more in line with Cooper's Hawk & its prices vs. the $40-$50 a plate we paid for our meal. My wife enjoyed her surf & turf which consisted of a 7 oz filet mignon & tempera shrimp in a chipotle aioli. I had the elk. Both were cooked to order as requested. If prices were about $8-$10 less per plate I think they would be right on food wise. The view of downtown Indy especially at sunset was fantastic. The service was fantastic as well. The wine list carries about a 300-350% mark up so be prepared for that if you are getting drinks. My wife's hard cider was $6.50 as well for a cider that is $9 for a 4 pack at the grocery.

Can not commend this place enough. It had been 20+ yrs since I last visited and it was fantastic all the way around. The food was fantastic, the wine was excellent, the service could not be beat, the view was breathtaking. If you want a nice night with your sweetie, this is the place to go. You pay for all of the luxuries, but they are well worth it. Even talked to the front desk downstairs and they were able to arrange a carrage ride to cap off our meal. Perfect end to a perfect day.

Dined with my two teenaged sons and my 80 year-old mom. We had a wonderful time. Staff was attentive, but made sure that we understood they had no intention of rushing us out the door. We enjoyed the beauty of the complete circuit. Watched the sun set and could see the "jumbotron" in Lucas Oil. Crabcakes were to die for and the prime rib very nice. My mom enjoyed her Ceasar Salad - dressing done just right...not "over-dressed".

What a wonderful experience! It has been 30 years since I have been there and it was as wonderful as I remembered. The food was outstanding, the ambiance was perfect, the view (wonderful sunset) gorgeous and our waiter was superb. The one thing that surprised me was that, for a Friday evening, they were not busy. What a shame that people do not take advantage of such a wonderful place to dine and relax in a tremendous atmosphere, not to mention, the view of one of the most beautiful cities in the country. I can't wait to go back!

I came with my fiancee as a celebration for the engagement. The restaurant knew this, and I had flowers delivered for our table. The table was great, the view spectacular, and the flowers were there as ordered, but that's about where the night fell apart. The restaurant did not appear to be very busy that night, with open tables all around, but getting service was absurdly difficult. We had salad, then dinner, and no dessert, and were there from 7 until 9:45! Almost 3 hours for 2 people, and we were definitely not being too slow ourselves. We planned on seeing a movie after dinner but missed it due to the enormous wait times. For what it's worth, the food was good, but it's a fancy restaurant; you expect that.

Our Eagles Nest experience was o.k. Anti-climatic would best describe our anticipated dinner. A moderate to big let down of our expectation. The service was good, but stiff.... to formal, not comfortable. The lemon aid was weak, lacked flavor and the prime rib was about 35-40 fat. Baked potato was average, and asparagus of pencil thin. Wife enjoyed her wine, and halibut.

The Eagles Nest was our last stop on a fun Indy family night out. We ate dinner at another restaurant, took a carriage ride and then enjoyed dessert at the Eagles Nest. The booth for four was very comfortable with pillows for lounging as we talked and enjoyed the night overview if the city. The service was fairly attentive. We enjoyed of the desserts: the chocolate caramel cake and the peach cobbler. The cake was moist and rich, and while the taste of caramel was not noticeable, the almond ganache was unique and delicious. The peach cobbler was an enjoyable mix of crust, soft peaches, mixed berries and vanilla ice cream. Nothing unusual, just good cobbler.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.

He was attentive but not over-bearing and didn’t get “put out” when we asked him for something. The food was beyond great! I had the prime rib which was cooked to perfection & my husband could not stop raving about his salmon, lemon risotto & mixed vegetables. The Goat Cheese Crostini appetizer was to die for! I thought the service was great. The food was okay. If you are famous for prime rib I have had better. It was a little chewy. The view was nice but the rotating was restaurant was a little herky jerky. The chairs were very uncomfortable plus not a good height for the table. I have been in other rotating restaurants this is not my favorite. Need to improve seats. A little pricey for what you get.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at the Eagle's Nest. The food was very good, but I felt it was overpriced. My wife and I had appetizers; she had the goat cheese and tomato bruschetta (excellent), and I had the brie with cherries (bruschetta style) which was also excellent. These were around $10-$12, so pretty reasonable. Then the entrees came out. The lamb steak that I ordered was maybe 4 oz., but at $42, I expected a little more. There was nothing noted regarding size of portions. Sure, there was some polenta-textured mashed potatoes and asparagus with it, which were all very good, but still I left feeling cheated. My wife had the 7oz filet mignon for $38, and she feels that it was a very good steak, but still it was overpriced by $6-$8.

The specialty ... The prime rib.... Was at least 45% fat. My husband wasn't pleased at all ( I took him there for his birthday).... My halibut was good, not spectacular . Crab cake app... 2 tiny crab cakes ... Def not the best I've had. The French vanilla cheesecake tasted like store bought freezer aisle cake . Best part was the service and the view . I basically paid for okay food and the view. I'd be really upset if I didn't have the restaurant.com savings coupon I bought in the spring.
