Eagle's Nest - Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
Romantic 1st AnniversaryWe celebrated our wedding anniversary on Saturday. Overall, the experience was very good. However, the volume of the "lounge seating" area was a little too loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation. Also, there were several people who were not dressed according to the "business casual" dress code. Several people in shorts and torn jeans. The restaurant didn't commit to that, and it detracted from the evening a little.
Portion size on the appetizers was a bit lacking, but dinner was a good portion. Service of dinner was a little slower than expected, but the serving staff did an excellent job of keeping up with refills and additional bread.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial OccasionA very pleasant experience. The views of Indy was very nice. For a special occasion, we took a first timer and she absolutely
loved it! The appetizers, lobster corn chowder, entrees to desserts were all delicious! Our waiters were very attentive and
friendly. Will definitely return.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a memorable experience,Had a memorable experience, would have loved some more chicken options for entrees. The Chocolate mousse is to die for! and I would love to come back just for that:)6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat viewrelaxed, comfortable atmosphere with a spectacular view of the city service was excellent filet prepared exactly the way I ordered6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEagle's Nest IndianapolisVery nice view of city and good service. The food was ok, but not exceptional. It would have been nice to have live piano music.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat View!!!We went to Eagles Nest to celebrate our anniversary. We started with a salad. The Ten Signature Salad which was ok but the Salad with Mango's and Cashews was delicious. We both ordered the Prime Rib which was very tender. The only thing is that when we ordered it, the menu said it just came with potatoes so we ordered a side of asparagus but when it arrived it had asparagus with it so I wish the waiter had told us so we didn't waste 8.00. For dessert I got the Banana Crème Brulee. It was very good. After eating we waited quite awhile for the elevator. The Hostess called to see if there was a problem but by that time it finally came. It was a little pricey for everyday but a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! Our luggage did not arrive before our reservation and the restaurant has a business casual dress code; the staff sympathized with our inconvenience, let us in wearing jeans and shorts AND Erin bought us the first round of drinks to help us unwind! WOW! The entire staff was super great from the very pleasant hostess to the very attentive waiter. The food was awesome - the crab cakes were superb, the lobster chowder was unbelievable and the Pork Cheek was unlike anything I have ever tasted before. The desserts - we tried four out of 6 and there wasn't a crumb left on any of the dessert plates. The view is breath taking and the staff points out the landmarks as the restaurant revolves slowly around in a circle. Highly recommended.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMEagles Nest - don't miss it!What a delightful find. These folks are top notch professionals. Service was spectacular, they are well trained. There if you need them, not if you don't. Marian knew the menu, Donald who assisted her had a warm smile, quick service and non obtrusive.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. It lends itself to engaged conversation.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and scenery madeThe food and scenery made for a very special birthday dinner for my date and I. Being able to see the shining sun in contrast to the storm clouds as we revolved was amazing.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a wonderful evening...greatI had a wonderful evening...great food , great service...beautiful view of the city!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurantThe eagles nest was a very romantic dining experience for my girlfriend and I. We were celebrating our anniversary and they acknowledged that by paying for our dessert. Great service and wonderful scenic atmosphere. We had a wonderful time.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place.Since the complete renovation, the room is beautiful and the food is delicious!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AM3 in 3 daysDay 1 Eagles Nest, Novel, and OK. Worth going ervery thing ok. quite was good and beats the huge crowds of the inn places.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMreviewThe Eagle's Nest was a great experience. It was a bit pricey but the experience was worth it coupled with the great food!5/23/2013 12:00:00 AM25th AnniversaryWe hit the spot for our 25th, not ever going before it was a little hard to find. But upon arrival we were greeted very nicely and taken right to our table where from there on we had been taken care of very nicely. I hope we don't wait another 25 to go back.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Eagle's Nest gets an A++My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Eagle's Nest on Friday Evening. Could not have picked a better place for the occasion! The food and atmosphere was excellent! Could not afford to eat there every week, but for special occasions I would highly recommend!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIts a good place to eat. IIts a good place to eat. I brought my Wife there for our anniversary and was pleased with the service and the food.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyableI've always enjoyed the Eagle's Nest. They have recently redecorated it and the only thing that I didn't like about it was the chairs. They sink in and you kind of sit low to the table. Everything else has always been excellent!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery OutstandingThe food was some of the best I ever had. The Prime Rib was so tender and seasoned just right !5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA great Mother's Day dinnerIt was Mother's Day. The restaurant had flowers for each mother. The food and service were excellent. We both had prime rib. Each were cooked to our individual preference perfectly.
The Restaurant.com certificate was very helpful with the cost. Even without it the atmosphere, service and food were worth the price.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat scene, OK foodThe atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding, the food however was incredibly average.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a great experienceWe received terrific service, food was appropriate, though pricey for portion sizes (typical of high end restaurants). The seating was superb. It felt like private dining. The view and revolving restaurant was thoroughly enjoyed.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely timeMy wife and I celebrated our aniiversary here. The food was excellent. My wife had a filet and commented it was one of the best filets she had ever had. Service was attentive. It was a little slower than we are accustomed to, but thta may be desinged to insure that the dining experience consumes enough time to insure a complete revolution of the restaurant. We ate at twilight and in my opinion, there is no question that the ideal time to eat here is around sunset - when the sky is darkening and the night lights come out. I can think of nowhere better to linger over desert and coffee.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMexquisite, adventurous, beautifulMenu was very creative, and everything we ordered was divine. David had the lobster corn chowder which I loved even though I don't like lobster! The entrees were adventurous, the creators of the menu were not afraid to take risks. BF had their signature herb crusted prime rib. And it just melted your mouth! The wine list was really good, and our server was highly educated about both the menu and the wine list. Desert cocktails were also excellent, although we did not order the actual dessert. The view of course is unbeatable. We even got to see a ball game going on! The decor is fantastic, I would definitely go back for our next special occasion.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat anniversary celebrationWe love it! We were 2 couples celebrating our anniversary and had a great time. Great view, nice food, good wine and great service. They offered a sampler of their best desserts as a compliment for our anniversary.I have heard several comments it is a pricy place, I just think it is as any other top class restaurant in the city, with the plus of the view of the city at night. Nice place.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Fine DiningThe view was outstanding and the food was excellent. I'm glad I found a new place to dine. I will definitely be back.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary Done RightWe had a wonderful dining experience, a superbly attentive waiter, sweeping views of Indianapolis, and food that was out of this world. Even though it was one of the most expensive restaurants I've been to, I would say it was worth every dollar. My husband and I will be making dinner here a tradition. THANK you for an enchanting evening!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, view, and serviceGreat food, view, and service made this an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend the Eagles Nest to friends and family looking for a exquisite place to enjoy a meal. The service was incredible and the waiter pampered us with his service.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Eagle's Nest is a quaintThe Eagle's Nest is a quaint upscale restaurant offering a skyline view of Indianapolis. Service was superb, never had to request anything... It's like the servers knew your needs before I did. The extensive wine list has the ability to accomodate even the most critical palate.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNot very busy for a SaturdayNot very busy for a Saturday at 7:00 reservation -- even on a prom night. Decor and service was good. It was cloudy & drizzling, so not the best evening for viewing. Tables seemed oversized and chairs undersized so our food was at chest level. Pillows were available but didn't compensate for the discomfort of the seating if you are petite or not over 6' tall. Food was pricey, but good. Nothing to rave about. Would consider going again, but would ask for different seating.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMTook my nine year old to Eagles'sTook my nine year old to Eagles's Nest before the Taylor Swift concert. We enjoyed our dinner. Parents with picky eaters should note that there is no true kids menu. The kids menu is a disposable salad- a pice of grilled chicken- and pumpkin mousse. This was fine as it is not a restaurant for kids and my nine year old also ordered steak fries on the adult menu along with her meal. My dinner of crab flaked halibut was excellent and the service was good. Seeing the entire city from the Eagle's Nest is such a nice treat.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server Marion was reallyOur server Marion was really fantastic! She made our dining experience truly enjoyable!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to the Eagle's NestWe went to the Eagle's Nest to celebrate our anniversary. The staff and the waiter were extremely friendly. The food was very delicious and filling. My wife's steak was a little under cooked but the were able to refire it and return it to her just fine. Due to the occasion and the inconvienence, we received our dessert free of charge.
We would definately return to this restaurant.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for special ocasionsThis is a really good restaurant for a special date. The view is great, mainly considering the 360 view of Indianapolis. Nothing special about the food. Just ordinary. Price is high compared to other spots, but for a special ocasion that`s fine.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit toThis was our first visit to Eagle's nest and we cannot stop talking about it!! It was an awesome evening! Outstanding service and the food was incredible.......We definately plan to go back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy son chose the Eagles' NestMy son chose the Eagles' Nest for his prom dinner because of the view and romantic atmosphere. Had he chosen the "prom" menu, the price would have been more affordable. I simply want to note what a plus it is that a "prom" menu was offered! The waitress offered the couple a complimentary chocolate desert -- "sweet". My son said he would go back again in a heartbeat because it was such a great overall experience.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe view is amazing and worthThe view is amazing and worth a visit! We had the crab cakes, which turned out to be two small quarter sized cakes. The entrees were both very good...lamb and steak. A bit pricy for what's you get but the view makes up for it.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional!!!! The FinestExceptional!!!! The Finest restaurant we have ever dined!!!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMProposal at sunset.Let me start with complimenting the staff! Wow, what an exceptional group of people from the Valet to the Host to the Wait staff! I took my girlfriend, now fiance, there to propose and asked a few things of the Valet and staff to help coordinate with me and their execution was perfect! The food was delicious and the atmosphere and view were a perfect combination for the occasion.
Btw, she said YES!!
Thank you to The Eagles Nest folks for helping to make the event special!!!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLove that the restaurant rotatesLove that the restaurant rotates to give guests a 360-degree view of the city!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGood time..my girlfriendsGood time..my girlfriends birthday and from the scenery and food it was amazing..thanks for the good time4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was disappointing thatIt was disappointing that the chef could not accomodate any small dish for a child. One could think they could have thrown together some pasta and sauce at minimum. I would not recommend this restaurant as a family establishment, which is disappointing since it sets atop a hotel...where there are families.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the pear arugula saladWe had the pear arugula salad and the duck breasts. Both were outstanding, and we would have them again. Renee's service was super! Be sure to ask for her.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurant, serviceExcellent restaurant, service was excellent as well
Food was excellent!!!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen visiting Indianapolis,When visiting Indianapolis, dinner at The Eagle's Nest (TEN) is a must. The dining experience is elegant and the food top notch. The rotating platform provides an outstanding 360 view of the Indianapolis skyline, the State Capitol building, Lucas Oil Stadium, Victory Stadium, and surrounding Marion County. It's truly awesome and moves so slowly (takes an hour for one full rotation) that you almost don't notice that the scenery is changing. Perfect venue for a romantic dinner when coupled with a carriage ride through downtown Indy.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWas good food and great viewWas good food and great view but loud group of bar guests sitting near by made it hard!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy Anniversary! My wife had never been to the Eagles Nest in the Hyatt Regency so I took her there as part of our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. The host who welcomed us remembered that it was our reservation and the flowers I had ordered were on our window table. The server was warm and friendly and helped us make our selection which turned out to be of excellent taste and attractively presented. After our entrees were finished the server offered us free desserts for our anniversary. We were totally satiated by the food, drink and the vista after one complete revolution of the restaurant. We'll look forward to another occasion to celebrate there.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went there for our weddingWe went there for our wedding anniversary. Nice view, quiet enough to talk, and food was very good. It is expensive for those who need to budget.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I were very pleasedMy wife and I were very pleased by the quality of the food. From the french onion soup to the prime rib and scallops, to the desserts we were impressed. But the highlight for us was the revolving dining room with the spectacular views. We will definitely make a return visit!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is expensive, butThis place is expensive, but it is nice for a special occasion. The food was wonderful and the view was very nice.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
