First time at restaurant, and the food was great, unfortunately the service was unremarkable. We had the kale and brusselsprout salad which was delicious and highly recommend. We askcouple wines and our server was uninformed and unable to provide basic recommendations for entrees and wines, his static response was everything was amazing. Seriously? We got the lamb confit and skirt steak dishes. The runner brought them out, our server never checked or offered insight on our dishes. I was clueless if I should eat the salad or how to use the couple sauces. We skipped dessert, had coffee (again the server never came back to see if we wanted another cup). We'd try again- maybe the server was an outlier.

Can't say enough good things about E&O - food, service, cocktails, wine choices are all outstanding. There is such a varied range of items to chose from and everything is delicious from the sushi rolls, pizzas, salads, burgers and entrees. Even got my husband to eat the kale and brussel sprouts appetizer salad and he loved it. This is quite the accomplishment coming from someone who loves iceberg lettuce. The 1/2 pound crab cake is the best ever with crab and very little filler. Have to keep returning to try all of the wonderful menu items!

Took a friend out for her birthday, we're both foodies and E&O was fantastic! All of the dishes were delicious and plenty big enough to share. The noise was a little loud when trying to have a conversation or hear your waiter. I would return as well as recommend E&O to others!!

The concept is interesting. We shared a cesar salad that was drenched in dressing and nothing notable about it, the short ribs which my husband said were above average and a marinara pizza that was tasteless (well, the crust was like cardboard). I sipped on water, which was never replenished, though our waiter did bring my husband a second Diet Coke, and the waiter immediately sent the manager over when we mentioned the pizza was inedible. To their credit, they did remove the pizza from our bill and offered a complimentary dessert (which we turned down). The ambiance is noisy and the sterile furnishings do nothing to temper the noise level; it did appear the majority of people around us were enjoying their evening, despite the noise.

We had a wonderful meal at E&O. The menu is so full of interesting options, it was difficult to make a decision. The special squash soup of the day and the beet salad were excellent, as was the sushi roll and the ink squid pasta. And the chocolate tres leches was a delight. Mike was an excellent waiter and the wine flights were festive and fun.

Very unusual menu. Good for people who, gastronomically speaking, like to think out of the box. Was a nice adventure, but not your mother's cooking. The restaurant was very sparsely populated, only 3 other tables had people, thus the quiet environment. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. The portions were a bit small and expensive for what you got. The decor was interesting and extremely modern.

The food was uninteresting. I had the argentine rib-eye. It was pretty fatty and just tasted like flavorless cooked meat. I was expecting some kind of kick. The potatoes were fine. They served us some kind of beet slaw (in lieu of bread I guess). It tasted like plain cabbage even the beets were tame. Scallops appetizer was only ok. My wife had a sushi roll. There are better less expensive sushi places. Dessert menu looked ok, but we didn't want to bother risking it. We had Gelato at Mariano's and called it a night.

From the friendliness of the hostess to the knowledge of the wait staff, service was excellent. The food did not disappoint as well! For a dinner for 2, try sharing the Kale Salad and Pork Shank. But make sure to have 2 orders of the fried rice. Wash it down with a bottle of Malbec. It was both flavorful and filling. Bon Apetit!

Interesting menu. I like the bar. The service is great and friendly. You need to try and work through the menu. Some items are great and others are ok. Some dishes are priced a little high. For example the Crab Cake. Outstanding, but $15.00 for one. If I wanted to have 2 for dinner then I am looking at $30? Too high!! Alan in the bar is the best!!! Love that dude.

One year ago this was the restaurant I chose to take someone I was meeting for the first time. One year later we are still together, we have been back numerous times, and I brought her back to the same restaurant where we first met and ordered the same menu items (except one item that was no longer on the menu). We sat in the same booth; a special request the restaurant honored for me. Each time we come here the food is always very good a consistent. The service has always been VERY friendly, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant has always honored the many special requests I make too without a second thought which is a compliment to its management. Definitely a favorite of ours for a few obvious reasons.

Cool atmosphere- modern decor and fun vibe on a Friday night. Had live music for awhile. Is a little loud but you can still easily have a conversation at dinner. Nice concepts for shared plates. The food wasn't as innovative as I thought it would be, but everything tasted good and they have a decent wine by the glass selection. Good service.

The food and service are always exceptional. Went on a Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and there was a wonderful band in the bar (could be heard in the main dining area) and the server spoiled us with E+O's birthday dessert on the house. Yum! Also, we were on a tight schedule to make a movie, and the server totally kept the evening moving so that we left the restaurant on time. Can't say enough good things about that night's experience and the restaurant. Hoping they expand and open more locations (especially nearer to the Elmhurst/Oak Brook area!

we had lunch at E & O this week. They had a great sushi menu, but for those who want traditional lunch food, a very good selection as well. Everyone at our table was satisfied with food. We went for lunch 3 of us & ordered three very distinctive dishes. One person ordered the cheese pizza which they thought was delicious one person ordered the tuna sushi and raved about the wonderful compliment of flavors flavors. I myself ordered the chicken wings which was a starter but I had that for my main course the food was delicious we then ordered the red velvet cake with vanilla ice cream outstanding highly recommend the restaurant would be good for all occasions and there's something on the menu all would love

We (my girlfriend and I) chose E & O to celebrate a birthday celebration after having attended a private group gathering at E & O about a year earlier. Unfortunately the experiences were nothing alike. While the food during our first visit was nothing short of amazing, our second trip left much to be desired. We all were in agreement that our appetizer (bone morrow tacos) tasted bland and lacked flavor. We wrote it off as a bad choice on our part, however, all of our entrees followed suit. The service was average, but the dinner and atmosphere was nothing like our first trip. We all left extremely disappointed in our decision. For the price, we just expected things to be better all around.

We hadn't been to Randhurst since the renovations were complete. We were blown away by how different it looked. But our minds were blown when we tasted our first course at E&O. We sat outside and listened to a great 3 piece band. Our first dish was the kale and roasted brussels sprout warm salad. I have never tasted anything so delicious. We ordered a few more small plates and finished with the prawns. This felt like a downtown restaurant. One thing was better than the next. We will most definitely go back.

The food, ambiance and service were all really great except that we had 2 people in our party who had significant dietary restrictions and we requested certain foods to be prepared a certain way. The server assured us that they could accommodate our requests however when the food arrived, the items that we could not eat were present. we waited a while for our food so we didn't send it back. Just order what's on the menu, no special requests.

E & O Restaurant is definitely worth a try if you haven't gone there. The food is unique, Asian influence and delicious. The signature rolls are extremely tasty. We did not experience the sushi, but one of the people in our party said it was scrumptious. I noticed many of the customers were having the signature rolls. We also were adventurous and tried an unusual dish with smoked humus and cauliflower through the recommendation of the server. It was very good. The wine list had an interesting variety to offer and the ones we selected were very pleasant. Service was very, the server very personable and knowledgeableWe will visit E & O again and recommend it to others..

This is the second time going to this restaurant and the experience was a 4 out of a 5 overall. E&O is located at Randhurst Mall (which is changing for the better) and has a city/upscale feel but located in the suburbs.
