This restaurant is listed in 5280 Magazine as one of Denver's top 25. A very pleasant dining experience on a weekday night. The buttermilk "fried" chicken and lamb meatballs were excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and our waiter was very helpful.

Every time I have been to this restaurant I have been impressed with its food, ambience, and service. The food is locally sourced-which is important to me and is always prepared to perfection. I have never had a bad meal here. It is charming inside as well. It is a smaller restaurant so everyone is close, but it really doesn't seem cramped the way they have it arranged. I think this is a place for small intimate gatherings where you can enjoy good food and good conversations, with delicious food and not having to listen to loud music or raucous behavior like some other places.

Had to try brunch after dinner was such a let down. I will say that at this price point, its a decent brunch & if I lived in the neighborhood I would probably eat here often, but not "drive worthy". You can get this type of stuff pretty much anywhere. Highlights were French Press Coffee & Bacon - highly excellent. Pasty Basket was a pathetic joke - especially since they brag about their award winning pastry chef. One slice of walnut raisin bread & a teeny blueberry muffin? Are you even trying? Also I was grouchy because I saw others having Lemon Ice box cake after we paid. Dessert was the best part of our dinner here & that could have helped redeem them, but not if isn't on the menu or the server doesn't offer it up! Not returning!

We love Duo. We were introduced to this place by our daughter and son-in-law and now it's a favorite of ours. We live in Brighton but like to drive into the city for fun places to eat. The brunch menu is wonderful. You can't go wrong. Great options for every person's taste. We love reading the placemats which are recipes written by little kids. They're fun. The atmosphere is really fun and casual. Our favorite table is right by the front window which allows for some great people watching. Easy to get to off I-25. Call for reservations - it gets busy!

We asked for a quiet spot and were given a nice round table. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the staff's gracious willingness to accommodate various wishes for substitutions. We came early (5 p.m.) on a Friday and recommend doing so if you want ease of conversation. As evening goes on on weekend nights, this place can get very noisy.

We joined neighbors to meet at Duo for Restaurant Wk dinner on Fri/Aug 29 and had a superb meal, begin inning with great starter course--we had either fritters or salad//both really good, followed by main course--we had brisket or amberjack//both outstanding (my wife & I shared), and finally dessert where we shared a chocolate delicacy or tarragon cake, and again--both really superb. All in all, just outstanding service & food--Thx

We went for Restaurant Week. Our service was outstanding and the cocktails were tasty, but the food left something to be desired. The standouts among all 6 dishes were the corn and onion fritter, which was perfectly prepared, and the "candy bar," which provided a lovely combination of textures and flavors. The sauce for the brisket, a "smoked mustard," tasted neither of smoke nor mustard, but rather quite a bit of salt. The grilled squash and eggplant was very bland, disappointing my vegetarian companion. The tarragon cake was saved only by the accompanying sour cream ice cream. Would go back for the drinks and service (and possibly small dishes), but not for a full meal.

From appetizer to dessert....yikes...especially dessert ...the bomb. I had the sturgeon spread with accoutrements.yumalicious. and then the grilled squash and eggplant (I am not a vegetarian) was so perfectly charred and spiced....vegetables have a new place in my heart. But the chocolate bar was by far the best ending to any meal I have had in Denver!!!!

Been looking forward to Duo for quite some time based on recommendations from friends who know I love other Highland Foodie Joints nearby. The cocktail RM Julep & desserts, especially Tarragon Cake were up to snuff & amazing, but everything else fell short. Maybe because its Restaurant Week Menu? Everything else was good but nothing else was exciting or great. Will return for brunch based on amazing cocktails and desserts. Will think very very hard before returning to dinner at this price point. Hubby & I both didn't think it made the top anything list. Would not recommend over the other places nearby based on this one experience. If already going for Res Week, brisket and corn fritters were the better of the lackluster menu items.

Great service! Great Food - we had the corn fritters - ordered a second round they were sooo good, the fried chicken, eggplant app, the seasonal salad that was refreshing but had a spicy kick at that same time, the papperdele pasta, and the fish. The server let us sample some wine before we chose our final bottle. We didn't feel rushed after being there for over 2 hours. Such a gem!

Wow! What great a great dinner we had! Started with Moscow Mules which were refreshing and great. Had some onion-fritter things for an app and they were absolutely wonderful served on a bed of delicious sauce with crispy zucchini noodles - great juxtaposition of taste and texture. Then we order fish which was wonderful as well - cooked perfectly, not saucy and goopy - on some delicious rice. The lemon dessert was to die for! Very lemony and the right amount of creamy goodness. Service was slow, but no big complaints as we were enjoying ourselves. A dinner to remember.

We happened to have dinner at Duo on both Friday and Sunday night for two different business dinners. The food is fantastic and well presented. Service, however, needs some attention. On both occasions we sat at the table for at least ten minutes before our waiter ever came to the table. Once drinks were ordered it seemed like an eternity before they were delivered. You have a fantastic restaurant but don't loose it with slow service on the front side of the house.
