lunches at the bar to several special occasion dinners in the dining room - and the bar is a fun spot for a drink - especially
during Christmas Stroll.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AM1st time in NantucketMy wife and I went to Nantucket for the first time. We had no car and so we needed to walk to a restaurant. We chose Dune and had a lovely time. I had swordfish (1st time) and my wife had lamb chops. Both were excellently prepared. We sat upstairs which was quiet - the bar downstairs was a bit more lively. Our waiter was excellent and the wait between our drink, main course, dessert/coffee was just right - not waiting too long but definitely not rushed.
Dune was not cheap (although most restaurants on Nantucket seemed pricey) but this being a special occasion we both felt it was worth the money spent.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday celebrationDecided on Dune because all my first choices were closed on Tuesday this early in the season. Small portions. The noise level is a problem when the room is full. Our waiter, Tom, was attentive, engaging, and funny.
