Diner Reviews
  • "This may have been the best Shepherd's Pie that I did not make that I've ever had. According to my son, the PB and J hamburger is to die for. The atmosphere is always lively and the service is excellent (and attractive)"

  • "The message was that I needed a 2 hour advance notice. We went anyway. I was surprised to get this request sine open table denied us. Our reservation was to be for 3 not 2"

  • "Dubh Linn Square is always a good place for Irish food and great beers. They are always consistent and always provide a welcome place to celebrate any family function. The service is generally good and the food is always good quality. Would come back again for sure. I highly recommend it."

  • "Restaurant is in process of changing owners. They were out of my first appetizer choice and bar choice. Not a good start for lunch. Had we known of the transition, we would have chosen a different restaurant. The server was accommodating, pleasant, and apologetic but appeared to be new. TV was blaring! All in all, very poor experience."

  • "This was the second time I've eaten at Dubh Linn Square. I can't say enough about how great their food is - true Irish comfort food!! They have a good beer list available that rotates regularly, so it makes each time back a little different. My only complaint about this lunch was our server didn't ask if we wanted dessert and assumed we were done, so he brought us the check. Poor assumption, we were celebrating a birthday and wanted dessert. "

  • "My husband and I have been to this restaurant numerous times for lunch, always sitting at the bar. The food at the bar was great and so was the service. Mother's day we made reservations for six people at 5 pm. We were seated promptly and the waitress took our orders. And then we waited and waited and waited for our meals for so long that the party across the room from us who were seated after us ate and left before we were given our food. Consequently when it finally came all was cold. I personnally sent back our fries because they were inedible cold. The server did bring me a new order that was hot but it was delivered after our meal was finished. I'm sorry to tell you that we were not happy about our experience."

  • "The service is bad and I blame the management for not showing them what to do and how to do it the right way. It's too bad because I work so close to them."

  • "Another great dinning experience.. from our very friendly, attentive waitress to the outstanding meals each one of us had. This place is a consistent and reliable establishment that we have count on for several years now. Always looking forward to our next visit. "

  • "We ate an early Saturday night dinner there with 3 of our four children. The kids all enjoyed there meals which were mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks. My husband ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. He enjoyed it until his plate was clean. I ordered the black and blue burger and almost completely finished my meal. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. We were seated right away. We would definitely dine there again!"

  • "Made reservations on a pretty big holiday and we were seated as soon a we arrived. Restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly. Good selection of food and drinks. Prices were average for a restaurant. Food arrived with in an acceptable time. The staff was there when you needed them. Looking forward to going back when the weather is nice to take advantage of their outdoor patio and fire pit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!"

  • "The craft beer selection was surprisingly impressive. The food was good - the sweet potato fries with brown sugar butter were DELICIOUS. My burger came out way, way overcooked, so be aware of that if you order one. Our server was very friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. However it was very quiet in there for a Saturday night."

  • "I stumbled upon this restaurant about a month ago. The service and food were very good, so when I was back in town with a larger group, I immediately thought about returning there. We had a party of 12 people. I am not a beer drinker, but many of the guys with me were. The restaurant has a large selection of brews. Their menu offers Irish fare and good old fashion meat and potatoes dishes. I ordered the NY Strip Steak, that is served with peppercorn sauce and steak fries. Other had meatloaf and Sheppard Pie. Overall a very good experience and I look forward to returning again."

  • "My husband & I enjoyed our first visit to Dubh Linn Square last Sat. The food was excellent - well-made & comforting. I got the Caprese Burger, which was cooked just as I asked. It was a nice surprise to have the choice between several sides, and not just automatically coming with fries. My husband loved his Fish & Chips. I had a wonderful glass of Cavit Cabernet, and we both had dessert (apple pie for me, bread pudding for my man). The service we received from Makenna really made our visit perfect. She checked in on us frequently but not overbearingly so, and she was just so pleasant & kind. We will certainly be back with our 8-year old. :)"

  • "Excellent! True Irish Pub feel. We went there for dinner on New Years Eve and had a great time. They handed out glasses of Guinness ( to the adults) to ring in the new year at 7 pm. They also handed out noise makers to the kids and counted down. lots of unexpected fun... food and service was great too."

  • "We were there to see the 2U play with a few friends. They reserved the couch for me and my friends and that was a nice surprise. Dinner was a good Irish meal, and service was excellent. Enjoyed the band as well."

  • "We haven't been there in a while but returned this weekend. They changed the menu a little, added a few interesting items and kept the classic Irish stew, meatloaf, etc. Tried the Fish Tacos this time and they were awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive,.. she was excellent!.. We will definitely return."

  • "although the restaurant tried to make itself handicap accessible, it seemed to be an afterthought, and not part of the orginal design process. one of our party uses a walker, and she had to go out of her way to get inside the restaurant, and then once inside, way out of the way to get to the table."

  • "The food makes this a great place to eat and the energy makes it a great place to visit with friends. Although it gets louder as the night goes on, it wasn't too loud to visit. I will definitely plan more gathering here."

  • "I've dined here many, many times both at the bar and in the dining room. What I have begun to notice is that although the bar side seems pretty stable with staff, the dining room is a revolving door. This visit had many notable and entertaining service issues, including "what do you want in your half and half", and "fries don't come with the "Steak Frites". Gee, Steak Frites means steak and Fries in French, I was of course served the wrong steak (rib eye with peppercorn sauce).Although our server did not show much evidence of having actually read the menu, or have a clue of what comes out of the bar, she was very diligent and detailed in hammering us about New Year's specials, all while I am eating the dinner I did not order."

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants/bar. Anytime we have a special occasion and expect a large group, we always pick Dubh Linn Square because of how accommodating they are. And even better, they always have great food (try the portobello muschroom burger!), great service and great beer!"

  • "Part of the enjoyment of my family's visit to the restaurant is that during our dinner Irish Music was been performed. Also because my sons are football fans, the numerous televisions made available allowed my family to eat, listen to music and follow our favorite team."

  • "dinner for 5 on a sunday night; we arrived after the Eagles, so I expect the noise level was lower because of that. We ordered the claims and mussels, stuffed mushrooms and lobster mac and cheese as starters - can personally vouch for the first two whcih were great. potato leek soup was very good; seafood chowder excellent. presentation was very nice as well. coudln't believe one of our group ordered the peanut butter and jelly hamburger, but he was thrilled with it. topped off the dinner with Irish coffee - also very good. All in all, the food was great, the bill wasn't a shocker and we all had an enjoyable dining experience."

  • "This was great when first opened, but this was 3rd visit in 10 months. No one at hostess tsbke on arrival. when she came, she had to set up our table even though we had a reaervation. Servers scatterbrained. Have to ask for everything. Had to ask for a cocktail menu, utensils and some drink refills. Son ordered hamburger, came out with cheese. Daughter order grilled cheese and was on rye bread which she didn't like. Not noted on menu. Last meal there was a lunch with a friend that took over 2 hours, maybe why they now offer 15 minute lunches. After this trip, won't rush to go back. Restaurant has lost it's mojo. Nothing is polished. Staff seems like they are not trained. Disappointing."

  • "Decent food. Dark atmosphere. Extremely loud, inside and outside in any dining area, especially on a weekend. Traditional Irish dishes are on the menu, but do not taste anything like what you would get in Ireland. Very gimmicky right down to the skirts. Good beer variety, however."

  • "Our first time visiting Dubh Linn Square......really enjoyed the Irish Pub atmosphere! Being a 'quiet' Irishman, I preferred the more subdued Sunday Brunch hour than I would the more 'vibrant' scene usually associated with the Irish.....but for others I'm sure this is the place to be on weekends! Great job!"

  • "I chose to dine in the section between inside and outside. The service was quick. The bartender was our waiter. Next time, I will try outside, for the atmosphere. I drank Smithwicks draft. It was much better than the bottled version. My food selection was bangers and mash. I've never had it, but I wasn't disappointed. My wife had the crabcakes and couldn't eat all of the serving. The wings were a good appetizer choice. Next time, I will try the nachos, they looked good."

  • "This restaurant is located on Evesham Rd in Cherry Hill but once inside, you would swear you were in Ireland. From the displays of pub jugs to the collectible soccer jerseys on the walls - to the Harp lager on tap, to the servers kilt-inspired uniforms, you'll feel like you've escaped away to a mini-vacation in the Emerald Isles. The menu is strong, with lots of standards you'd expect like Fish & Chips, Shepherds Pie, and several Boxty varieties (DO try the salmon!). The also have a nice offering of generous burgers served up with steak fries (or sweet potato fries or onion rings for a very nominal upcharge). The bar has lots of traditional beers and crafts on tap, and there is also an impressive whiskey offering. Service is attentive too!"
