Duane's Prime Steaks & Seafood RestaurantDate Night Hot Spot!My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner for our date night. The food and service was excellent!
The only part we didn't like was that a couple and their small toddler were seated next to us. We chose that place because I wanted a quiet romantic dinner and we ended up having to hear parents deal with their toddler for 70% of our dinner.
Overall, I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for superior service and for steaks that melt in your mouth. :-)6/14/2013 12:00:00 AM1st timeIt was my first time at the Mission Inn which is an amazing and beautiful place. We had an awesome dinner that was better than Mortons and Flemings!! I could cut my steak with my fork. Service was beyond excellent. After dinner took a walk around the 4th floor which overlooks all the courtyards of the Mission, it was very romantic. My husband enjoyed his salad but we forgot to ask them to hold the tomatoes and they were in abundance. We had the Chateurbriand for two which was delicious, cooked just right and very tender. I thoroughly enjoyed the bruele with berries. The service was great and attentive. It is a cozy corner booth which at first looks great but as you are seated and have some time to get settled you realize it is staring straight at the kitchen door. So for the evening we got to watch the hustle and bustle of the entire wait staff up and down the stairs, in an out of the doors, almost collisions. Great experience overall, everything is exactly what you would expect from a NIce classy restaurant.
Service was excellent, from the optional valet to the host to the Waite staff.
Everyone we encountered on our dining experience was top notch, friendly, professional and welcoming.
The Waite staff was attentive but not overbearing and gave us plenty of time needed to make our selections but were always there when we needed something or even before we asked they would refill our wine and water glasses.
Right now they are running a special on select wines and they are half off the bottle.

Hands down the best steak I have ever eaten. When we arrived they had us seated at a table up front which was not what we were looking for that night. It's very good, but has lost that 5 star feeling and is very dated. The wine list is good, but I've seen better and my filet was run of the mill. I travel extensively and entertain all the time, so I was slightly disappointed that we spent our anniversary here, as for the price, we could have done better with a little longer drive to Orange County.

If your looking to spoil your mate with a truly special evening then it has to be Duane's. Best crab cake that I've ever had. No filler just beautiful crab cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was absolutely perfect and as for the Entrée, the rib chop with risotto and asparagus was perfection. The steak was perfectly seasoned and succulent. Got chateaubriand, tableside of course, and chocolate soufflé for dessert. They wrote Happy Anniversary in chocolate on our chocolate souffle plate. Very cute! Good wine list. Great service--attentive but not overbearing. Lobster bisque starter was fantastic. Had drinks at 54 degrees bar which is located in the hotel bar area in front of Duane's entrance.
