  • "Me and my hubby goes to Duane's on every special occasion. Their surf and turf is what I always get. The steak just melts in your mouth and the lobster is phenomenal. The service is superb as well."

  • "The service was impeccable(David). The chateaubriand was elegant and soo tender. The shrimp scampi was a large serving for the already large shrimp. Personally , I like shrimp cooked a little less time so that they are more tender. The crème brule was fantastic as was the apple desert."

  • "The Ambiance of Duanes is beautiful. The service was incredibly attentive. We felt like we were on a cruise ship. I would have appreciated a warning how rare the beef was going to be. The flavor was great but the texture of raw marinade it very difficult to eat."

  • "What a place! It's old-school steakhouse fine dining. Service was impeccable as was the food. My wife had Halibut and I had the three steak tenderloin. We were both extremely pleased with our meals. My steaks were possibly the most tender I had ever eaten. We will return again and again."

  • "Spent a lovely evening and another birthday at Duane's. Service was flawless and the food was superb as always. We also discovered that on mondays and tuesdays, all wines costing $95 or more are 50% off. This means that our bottle of Far Niente Chardonnay cost only $47.50, or about what you would pay at Costco! Their wine list is the best in the inland empire and one of the best in Southern California. Oh, did I mention they make a killer martini? Annette, our server, was amazingly always there when we needed her, but never intrusive. Not inexpensive, but a great value. Enjoy!"

  • "Our ribeye steak and fresh blackened halibut were superb! the house sauvignon blanc went very well with dinner. Service from David and his colleagues was very attentive and yet considerate. Highly recommend Duane's for a special dinner!"

  • "Duane's is such a beautiful restaurant, set in the Mission Inn. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is romantic, and the service is on point. Steak lovers will especially love Duane's. The meet was cooked to perfection. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and had brought our 15 year old son with us. The service would be considered to be formal but the staff was very friendly and gave my son respect as well. We enjoyed our meal and will be back!"

  • "We took friends there on a night when the place was overwhelmed. Took a good thirty minutes to get our cocktails. Our meals, when they finally arrived, were all excellent. Then another eternity to get desert and the check. The whole thing took over three hours. In spite of all this, we will go back sometime. The food is that good."

  • "My husband and I were married at the Mission Inn and had our reception in Duane's private dining room. With that said, the restaurant holds special meaning for us. The restaurant didn't disappoint. I had a huge, scrumptious lobster tail and my husband had the halibut special. Generous portion sizes coupled with great sides made for a great meal. We had a few tastes of different wines before deciding on a lovely Chardonnay. The wine list is extensive so there is a guaranteed something for everyone. We went overboard to conclude our meal with the chocolate soufflé, but it was chocolate soufflé and our resistance level was non-existent. Kudos to our waitstaff for providing exemplary service."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Duane's Saturday night. We've eaten here many times over the years but we ordered the Chateaubriand for the first time. You must order it for at 2. The tenderloin was Perfect-absolutely a perfect medium rare inside with a nice seared outside. They sliced the steak tableside which was nice and kept the inside warm. The lobster bisque was excellent as well, the best I've had in a while anywhere. My only complaint is that the "roasted" veggies, which are part of a traditional chateaubriand, were overcooked. The asparagus was good and still crisp, but the garlic, onion, and carrots were overcooked, lacked nice color and texture and were inedible for me, and I love roasted garlic and onion."

  • "I was actually disappointed in the quality of meet I had there. I ordered the porterhouse and it tasted like something I would buy at Norms for breakfast. Also, upon checking in with the host for my reservation I had set-up with open table they advised me that I didn't have a reservation. Luckily, the restaurant was not busy and we were able to be sat. For the price of the food I would give it a thumbs down just based off of quality. As for the ambience it was quotes nice place. Restaurant server was amazing but can't say the Hotel staff came even close. What a nightmare."

  • "Duane's is the ideal spot for special occasions or anytime you want delicious food. Try the Chateaubriand for Two. It is perfectly cooked and comes with veggies and potatoes. An almost complete meal...you can add a salad, but you want room for the entree. We skip the appetizers and salads, but leave room for dessert!"

  • "You know the food is going to be great, just as you know the service is going to be great. But still the little touches-this time the cursive "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate around the edge of the dessert plate-make you want to keep coming back."

  • "Duane's was Up Scale dining at reasonable (up scale) prices. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The service started off a bit chaotic as multiple people came to our table and drink orders were taken twice. We were unclear as to who was our actual server. But once they ironed that pour, service was the perfect combination of attentive, and unobtrusive. My wife and I had the Chateaubriand and it was perfectly cooked. The couple with us had the trio of filet and liked it a lot. We were all too full to attempt desert. Total tab for 4 (including the drinks) was $218. If/when we're back in Riverside, we will be returning,"

  • "I had always wanted to try Duane's as I had already tried the other restaurants at the Mission Inn. It was expensive, but delicious. You definitely get what you pay for there both in food and service. Was perfect for our special occassion."

  • "Very nice upscale restaurant with great service. Waiters were very attentive and explained anything we didn't understand. On a Friday night they didn't push us out. We were able to sit and talk and relax."

  • "I've never stayed at the Mission Inn, but I've worked a couple child care events. I wasn't overly impressed with the rooms but Duanes was amazing. The food was delicious, our servers were outstanding. They took care of everything. We couldn't ask for a better experience. "

  • "Restaurant has a great atmosphere. Husband and I shared a shrimp cocktail appetizer and the filet and lobster with a side of creamed spinach for dinner. All was delicious! Been there twice now on vacation (stayed at the Mission Inn - amazing hotel) and were lucky enough to have Annette as our server each time. Thanks for a great experience! "

  • "Celebrated my 40th Birthday here. The food was great. We had the Lobster tempura, which was good. It did not taste like lobster. It had the texture of lobster, but not the taste. The sauce was wonderful. For the main course had the Chateaubriand. Amazing, it was finished table side and everything on the plate was wonderful. Had the Bananas Foster for dessert. First time I have ever not had it served table side. It was good, but would have been better with the 2005 Far Niente Dolce 375ml that was listed but not available on the wine list. Truthfully cannot go wrong at Duane's. "

  • "Having heard of and read reviews about Duane's, we finally decided to give it a try. The occasion was our 40th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The food was divine and the ambiance was to our liking (we both hate noisy restaurants). Of course, it was pricey (most we've ever paid for a meal) but for a special occasion it was worth it."

  • "Duane's, located at the Mission Inn in Riverside, is a wonderful place to go especially for special occasions. Being a 4 star restaurant, expect to shell out a lot of bucks, but the food was superbly prepared. My ribeye was perfection. Normally, I can get through half of a steak but I finished all 16 ounces. I also ordered a side dish of cut green beans which was delicious. They used a chili sauce that gave the beans a kick without being overpowering. I had a chocolate hazelnut cake for dessert which was one of the most satisfying desserts I have ever had. The desserts are made on the premises, assuring freshness. (Most restaurants' desserts are shipped in.)"

  • "We stop at the Bar 54 for a drink and the nice ambiance they had going with their live music, the server at the bar was a bit dry then we got a second waitress that seen more pleasing. As we went into Duane’s their staff was very nice you can feel them welcome you, the sommelier was very enjoyable everything and everybody was very nice one thing I can say that their busboy needs some polishing at the table, he will cross his arm on our faces a couple of times trying to pick up the plates from the table other than that it was a very nice experience. NOTE their bread putting desert it’s excellent !!!! This is kind of the food of the Gods!!!"

  • "I get nervous when I'm about to spend $150+ for a meal for two, but this restaurant earned the highest marks in every category. Ambiance: Perfect lighting. Soft, live music wafting in from another room. Beautiful decor. Gorgeous table setting. Food: I've eaten all over the world and thought you had to go to Chicago for a perfect steak, but this was the best I've ever had. Service: Impeccable. From the hostess greeting to the wait-staff, all their attention was on us. I even got a follow-up phone call the next day to make sure we were pleased and was asked if there was anything they could have done to make it even better. If you can afford luxury dinning, do not miss Duane's at the Mission Inn."

The staff was professional, friendly, and very patient going to great lengths to see to our comfort and satisfaction. Then add to the mix the beautiful presentation and deliciousness of the food itself, and you have a real surprise gem of a restaurant. Glad I found you and I will definitely come again."
