A word from Dry Creek Kitchen
If this country has a culinary cradle, it's in Northern Sonoma, where the fruits of local labor—from outstanding produce to handcrafted cheese—have never been on a plane. Drawing upon regional ingredients is a superior way to eat and one can taste the freshness in Chef de Cuisine Dustin Valette's Dry Creek Kitchen specialties. You can also experience the regional abundance in the six-course, wine-trail tasting menu, featuring "neighborhood" food and wine pairings.
Dry Creek Kitchen's wine cellar reflects the area's celebrated appellations, featuring more than 600 Sonoma wines with vintages ranging from 1985 to 2007 and a particular emphasis on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage Blends.
Charlie Palmer's long standing commitment to wine manifests itself in his one-of-kind-collection drawing from the private libraries and cellars of the area's winemakers.

The effort was good, but the talent may be lacking. The theme of fall was lovely and well done, but it did become a bit tiring to see/taste nutmeg and/or pomegranate seeds for the third time in the chef's 7 course tasting menu. Also, certain dishes lacked in flavor while others were wonderful - an inconsistency that may reflect the overall dining experience of good, but not excellent. The service, however, was excellent. Thank you.

We had one of our best meals on our trip to the Sonoma area at Dry Creek Kitchen. i had the rabbit special which was honestly the best I have had. My wife's rib eye was excellent. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Will return when we are in the area again.

If I was limited to a one-word description of our dining experience at Dry Creek Kitchen, (drum roll please), it would be "Outstanding"! Over-the-top service! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about local wines and the no-corking fee for the "BYOWine" for Sonoma wines, is an excellent addition for an outstanding dining experience. Our foursome enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the menu option of having a four-course dining experience was our group's favorite menu selection. Dry Creek Kitchen is an outstanding dining experience choice when visiting the Napa/Sonoma wine country.

Dry Creek Kitchen was highly rated by a few friends. Maybe we got a bad night - but it was very poor. Tuna staret and Cod main course lacked any flavour. Our other starter was a special tagliatelle with shrimp and fresh truffle. The shrimp meat was very, very small - about ¼ the size of the still attached head. Shaving expensive white truffle over shrimp heads is plain stupid. Finally the other entree of venison was a roulade with something like chorizo. The dish was terrible. Tough and confused flavours. Service matched the food.

Service was excellent. I thought the menu selections were fairly limited. My wife had the chicken, which was good, but, when she chooses chicken, it's usually because there wasn't another dish that was interesting enough. Same with me. My NY steak was good but I was hoping for more interesting entrees. No chocolate desert and none of the selections sounded like we had to have them. The Holdredge Pinot was the highlight of the meal. Nice for a once-in-a-while dining experience.

Our dinner was beautifully cooked and presented the wine list is impressive but we were a tasting all day so I didn't want to waste by ordering two full bottles. The sommelier made excellent recommdations and poured several wines to please my wife's palate. I enjoyed to remarkable torchon of venison done to perfection.

This restaurant is always busy. I don't honestly know why. There is a definite attitude of snootiness even though the staff acts politely. The much anticipated food is good, but it is not "great". For the price and the fuss you can do better in several establishments within a 4 block radius.

Although our dinner was good it the service was comically pretentious. No need to bring the whole partially cooked chicken over to the table to show me wha5 it looked like just because the chef bones it and serves it boned on the plate. $85 for the chicken for 2 people was incredibly price for the bottom line of receiving a few skimpy pieces of chicken with 4 shavings of truffle on top. Oh well...

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Dry Creek Kitchen. We went wine tasting during the day and were able to bring our own Sonoma Valley wine to enjoy with dinner. We had the 3 course fixed menu &when we asked if we could substitute dessert we were graciously accomodated. The service and food were impeccable. Very professional service by the wait staff. We enjoyed meeting with the restaurant manager who went out of his way to ensure everything was to our liking. We will return to DCK next time we're in the area.

The food here is your basic, pretty good, celebrity chef hotel restaurant food. The place is clean and modern, like the food. Unfortunately, that doesn't always mean tasty food; to get it out quickly, the chicken is flattened and pan seared to crisp the skin, then finished in the oven. Beautiful presentation, but relatively tough, flavorless meat. And the sides can be perfunctory; julienned carrots in a "honey glaze" tasted like, well, little carrot bits in honey - not inspiring. And the waiter was annoyingly over-eager to sell us more food than we wanted. Charlie Palmer should do a stint here on Undercover Boss. Next time I will try one of the locally-owned restaurants like Scopa or Bravas Bar de Tapas.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner in the outdoor patio at Dry Creek Kitchen during our trip to Northern California this October. We were welcomed warmly by Georgio, the manager, who made sure we got cocktails while we were waiting for our table. Lovely setting in downtown Healdsburg. Our appetizers were great. My Kobe beef special was amazing, and my husband raved about his duck breast. Highly recommended.

This was our 3rd visit. We were introducing some close friends to the wine country. Unfortunately this time the food was not up to the normal standards. My wifes steak was so tough and chewy it was unedible. The deserts were all a very sad disappointment. We had bragged about Dry Creek Kitchen quite a bit but this trip let us down.

Our second visit to D.C.Kitchen (2012 previous). Looking forward to this on our last night in Sonoma, and it fulfilled all expectations. I love the openness of this dining room, with doors opening onto Healdsburg Ave. I'm a longtime fan of Charlie Palmer's Aureole in NYC, and D.C.K. lives up to his high reputation. Impeccable, super-attentive service. My duck breast was a lovely tender pink, as requested. Ahi tuna appetizer just right: fresh, crunchy, beautifully dressed. Really, you can't go wrong here. If you bring in your own Sonoma wine (as we did), there's no corkage charge. Not cheap (of course) but well worth every penny.

Perhaps the most well known restaurant in Healdsburg, the overall experience here was just OK. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the service was first rate, but the meal was just fair. The steaks were small, thin and dry, nothing like we were used to in the NY steak houses. The wine recommended by the sommalier was lousy. The salads were ordinary. The vegetables ane appetizers were however quite good, and the desert were the best part of the meal. While I wouldn't call this a bad experience, it was a disappointment. There are better choices in Healdsburg.

This is a special occasion restaurant as well as a good local hang out but it is slipping gradually more and more. Our table was not ready so we went to the bar for a drink. The waiter came about 10 minutes later to say it was ready and he just walked out. In the past they would have carried the drinks to the table for us as a courtesy. The waiter was inside watching as we opened the front door ourselves with drinks in hand. Look, not a big deal right but for a top class restaurant that is not top class. Those drinks could have been dropped and then what; glass clean up? Table service was good and meal quality good but the attention to details is slipping.
