Dry Creek GrillExcellentWow, what a surprise and excellent dining! The ambience was something you would expect to find in trendy LA.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWill definitely go back again soon!Lots of great choices on the menu. Service was very good; knowledgable server and attentive bus staff. Excellent crab cakes, plump and seasoned correctly. Scallops were excellent, a must order, as was the poblano chili soup and beet salad (although a bit heavy on the oil). Waived our corkage when we bought a bottle off the wine list as well - this is always a nice touch!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good neighborhood place.Very good neighborhood place. Food was very good and so was the service. Friday night bar scene could seem to much if someone is looking for a quiet dinner.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my wife there for ourI took my wife there for our anniversary and had a great meal. Went back the next night for a business dinner and it was equally great. The food was very delicious, the portions large and the service was very good. I will definitely be back.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding ServiceThe service was amazing and the food is always delicious! Just a little too noisy for conversation.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentI have been there several times with clients and friends and each and every time has been delicious. The service is great. The bar is awesome! I’ll be back!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite place!Love this place! We've been there twice now. I love it because its casual, cozy, easy to get to and the food is yummy. I love places where it doesn't take too much effort to get to, parking is easy. It's in kind of a funky strip mall but the place really stands out with the fire pits and the exterior decor. Once inside, it's not what you expect at all. It's swanky but not stuffy.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service!Food is delicious and the service exceptional! Great vibe overall.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAmbience Plus...We were thrlled to finally be able to get into Dry Creek Grill. We had heard such great things about the food, ambience, and overall energy. I had the very best halibut I've ever had in my life. The guys had your meatloaf which aimed to please their palates as well. We had to try the crab cake appetizer and altho small...the presentation and taste was top notch! We had drinks (a couple each) and were taken back by the bill total. We had no idea what kind of cost we were incurring. With that said, we would highly recommend this place for special occasion or events. Otherwise, on a regular night of the week, it's a little pricey. BUT, you have to try it at least once.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, but hard sell staffThe food is very good, good size portions, the ladies will take some home, but enough of the hard sell. Waiters only seemed to come by to see of they could sell you something else.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood.Few items overpriced but overall good. Live music was a nice touch but tv screens playing videos was very distracting.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a hidden gem!You would never now from the outside that the doors to Dry Creek Grill lead its diners into another time and place. This restaurant has a "prohibition" feel, with the ambient lighting, unique/themed cocktails, live jazz music, and lounge-like decor. The servers and bartenders are dressed formally, the dining tables have a private feel to them, and the food is outstanding! DCG was a perfect spot for a date night with my husband, but we also look forward to returning with a group of friends for cocktails and/or dinner.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing foodDry Creek Grill has incredible good and a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are friendly and polite. The BBQ meat is delish!!!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner with FriendsThis was our second visit to Dry Creek Grill and we were not disappointed. Great service and very good food. Though a little pricey, this is a great place to get great food and great service without the parking hassle of Santana Row. We'll be back.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOver over priced. Food wasOver over priced. Food was good. Great service thank you Thomas.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGood enough to go again soonMy wife and I went for the first time this weekend. We started with the crab cakes which were soooo good - definitely will have them again. I had the scallops with a spinach dish cooked with onions and bacon and mushroom risotto cakes. The scallops and spinach were excellent but the risotto cakes were very bland. She had the prime rib dip with the creamed spinach side. Both were blah. The beef was tasty enough but it was shaved vs sliced - way to thin. And there just wasn't enough of it. Other people's dishes look good and we will try other things next time. Ambiance was good albeit a little noisy.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere and ambiance.Great atmosphere and ambiance. Cool bar with great unique drinks. The food is delicious. Great bbq sauce. cornbread is to die for. cant go wrong here.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific Restaurant in Willow GlenJoined my friends for an early dinner here. The restaurant is very classy without being snobby. I had read some really great reviews about the food. They were all true! I ordered the 1/2 BBQ chicken. It comes with coleslaw, cornbread and baked beans. I substituted their creamed spinach for coleslaw as the waitress said it was really good. It was! Everything was delicious. The service was very good. I will definitely return.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had heard how good theWe had heard how good the food was. Yes, it was very good and presented very nicely. A little on the expensive side but not too bad. We had the appitizers of deviled eggs with shrimp and the oysters. Very different! Salads are not included but the beet salad was so tasty also. The Porterhouse steaks were very good and also huge! Next time we are doing the burgers, they looked awesome! Service maybe could have been a little better but besides that it was a great dining experience!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great! We eat at Dry Creek Grill often. It's never a disappointment. Carlos, our server, was impeccable! Love live love this place!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLadies' Night OutSometimes ladies like to get pretty, put on a little black dress, go out, have a scrumptious dinner & a cocktail or 3. This is the perfect place for just that! The atmosphere was fabulous. The people were kind, courteous & funny. The food was phenomenal. The cocktails were divine. Highly recommended & I'll most definitely return next time I'm in town.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was exceptional - ServiceFood was exceptional - Service was 100 % - The cocktails were great looking as they were yummy. Great way to spend a last minute Mother's Day Sunday.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat's it doing HERE?its in a random spot but dont let that fool you, once inside (or out front which is real nice too) you'll enjoy a great ambience. Our first thought was it felt a bit like you are in a nice restaurant in Las Vegas. It "Feels" special, expensive, and yet is comfortable.
Really good food and cooked properly. Some of the specials are a bit small portioned but theyll tell you that. They have many regular items that will fill the biggest appetite.
I have eaten there twice with my wife and once we brought our kids. They had nice music each time. Attention to detail is apparent here, youll love this place. Our service was impeccable, Carlos was our waiter.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat placeI live about a mile away and watched curiously as the restaurant was being built. I finally got the family together for Mother's Day after an advertisement on OpenTable. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, the atmosphere was a blend of romantic, stylish, and energetic. It is a weird, but very cool atmosphere to blend those things together. The server was incredibly fun, teasing our table and engaging our party. The food was fantastic, with the ribs and brisket among our favorites. I will definitely be back and know that my family will be as well.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! Our first experience at Dry Creek Grill was excellent. Great service, ambiance, and wine list.
Best stroganoff I've ever had!
Will definitely return5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe ambience and food areThe ambience and food are excellent and the service is slow but very good. Since they only serve dinner, it's nice to have leisure time there. However, the noise is almost unbearable!!! I have been there twice, and each time it is extremely noisy. This time we sat on the other side of the bar in a corner booth. It doesn't quiet down until after 9:00.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemGreat barbecue and grill menu, friendly staff, attentive service and good prices5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time toThis was our first time to Dry Creek Grill - given an anniversary gift certificate by our kids. We loved our meal, the food was delicious - especially the baked oysters appetizer and the chocolate cake martini for dessert...We told our sons, it was a great gift and we'd love to go again...hint hint!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday, May 4th....the bar area where we sat I love, but the noise level is really too loud...there was 4 of us and we had to shout at each other to talk at dinner....there needs to be a review of this issue..which I have heard other people talk about.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service, good food, but saltyWe had a great evening out at Dry Creek Grill. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were all good to great
....
except that about a third of the dishes were mouth-dryingly salty! We mentioned this to our waiter, and he was very apologetic, the manager came over and offered us free drinks (we declined, we weren't looking for compensation, just to let them know).5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed every aspect ofWe enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. The food was wonderful. We had the mixed barbecue plate and the ground chicken burger. The barbecue sauce was the best we have ever had. The burger was large and delicious. I had not had a ground chicken burger before and loved this. The waitress recommended a lemon chiffon cake with raspberry sauce, which was divine. The service was as good as the food: friendly, prompt, efficient, and eager to please. We look forward to our next visit...which will be very soon.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMhigh quality of ingredients, high quality of ingredients, well-rounded wine list, fun atmosphere with the band4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest around! The best new restaurant in Silicon Valley! Unique menu creations all around! Everything was excellent!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVibrant Restaurant, Amazing foodThe food was superb, from salmon to rib eye all meals were expertly prepared. The carpaccio appetizer was generous and quite tasty. And the desserts were truly amazing, loved it all.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe go to Dry Creek every otherWe go to Dry Creek every other week, it's are go to place.....4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMI would not expect to findI would not expect to find this caliber restaurant in the middle of a strip mall next to a Bally Fitness gym! The food is fantastic, the servers fairly attentive (ours had a large group come in and barely came back to check on us).
I do wish that you could choose which sides came with the entrees. I asked to sub one for another (both entrees with these sides were priced within 30 cents of each other) and was charged $2-3. I feel that it was an easy enough swap with no added cost to them, so I'm not sure why I was charged more.
Overall, though, this is a great place and my husband and I will be coming back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Find!I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. It is located in a neighborhood strip mall, but as you approach the front, you forget that detail. The BBQ is wonderful and the cocktails are creative and yummy. We left before the live music started but I will definitely be returning to try more from the menu and to sit outside at the fire pits.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWent there for our anniversary.Went there for our anniversary. The food, wine and service were very good. Some things we especially enjoyed were the carpaccio appetizer, the bone in ribeye dinner (huge portion!) and the chocolate cookie for dessert. Looks like a fun place to go to for drinks at the bar- will have to check that out next time.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious (everyoneThe food was delicious (everyone agreed!) and there was a surprisingly large variety of different dishes available. Service was excellent (Ellen rocked!) and the atmosphere was unpretentious (a little on the upscale side) and lively. We will be returning to confirm that the rest of the menu was as as good as the things we've already tried (Crab Louis, Rotisserie Chicken Pasta, St Louis Style Pork Ribs).
I'll be recommending the Dry Creek Grill to all my friends and if you're in the area, recommend you check it out too!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious but very pricy forDelicious but very pricy for strip mall restaurant4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMDCGrill - AwesomeDCGrill is one of the best new restaurants in San Jose. You have to try it!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur second time to DCG. MuchOur second time to DCG. Much better second time around. Enjoyed the food (3 steaks, salmon and scallops), cocktails were very good (Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule...and Blood Orange Cosmo). Waitstaff very good and really enjoyed the blues band playing on Saturday night. All around great time and will definitely be going back!!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood experience with meatGood experience with meat as well as BBQ entre's I wouldn't recomend for fish dishes. The fish is typically over cooked on the two occations we tried as entres. Awesome side dishes.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. ServiceFood was very good. Service was excellent. Can't wait to return.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good asThe food was very good as were the cocktails. Really loved the staff as they were very attentive. The only issue we had was the couple behind us that had decided to have an argument that evening over dinner. It was really uncomfortable to listen to and you couldn't help it because it was so close. There are a lot of things on the menu that I would like to try. I had the Wagyu burger and it was fantastic and the fries were great as well. My wife had the scallops with risotto cakes which was perfectly cooked but one of our favorites of the evening was the green chili soup. Anaheim and pasilla chili's with cilantro and sour cream. It was very, very good. I would go back just for the soup.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
