We have been to Driftwood several times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. This last time was not up to par. The service was very slow. We had to ask for more bread and butter. The noise level seemed higher than what I remembered. The food was interesting but not superb except for the oysters. Champagne cocktails were delicious - one of the best I've had.

Again Open Table gave us 6,6:15 or 8 but there were only 5 tables (rainy Wednesday). Annoying. We are old and were given the little L-shaped table in the corner that Leslie Brenner hated. The other four tables were all young/beautiful people who were seated in the comfy banquettes that you see as you walk in the door. But the service was excellent - just one waiter, the host and the bartender. The waiter was funny, friendly and professional, not too familiar. They are very accommodating and we had a great time. The cocktails are fab. The wine list has some interesting entries but is not balanced and not marketed if you need help. The mark-up on the high side. Pretty place with A+, creative, fresh food on the very limited menu.

And it was just as delicious as the Summer Menu. This was our third dining experience at Driftwood and it was wonderful. We've had the same server Joshua each time. He remembers our names and our drinks. Scott the GM puts for a genuine effort to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying their dinner.

Had the absolute best time at Driftwood. First time here and the food and service were absolutely perfect. I put a special note on the reservation since it was my boyfriends birthday and from the get go, they were nothing short of wonderful. My mom, brother and myself all work(Ed) in the resturant business and attention to detail is everything for us. Fantastic dinning experience in every way. Thank you for making this dinner the best we've had in Dallas.

A bit tight with the seating but very cozy place. We had fresh fish and deliciously prepared root vegetables. Desserts were the bomb. Our waiter was friendly and very helpful in navigating the menu. Nice wine selection to go with the seafood too.

LOVED every bite of each item we ordered. Beautiful presentation and the taste of the food was fresh with great flavor. For once I can say I have found a restaurant that does not oversalt the food! Service was very good as well and they had a knowledgeable wait staff. They even brought a gourmet complimentary dessert out to my husband for his birthday! I highly recommend Driftwood.

I had the Bass and it was the tastiest piece of fish I have had all year which is really saying something as it's mid October! I will definitely be going back. The only thing I would say is not so great about this place is the limited menu. I am one who believes that small menu's are best as it means that what they do offer is great rather than those massive menu's full of mediocre food but this is just a little bit too small, hence my husband and I only had a main course but it was filling enough not to need an appetiser anyway. Great place, try it out.

From the sincere greeting at the door from Scott Perez the GM to the very knowledgeable and charming server Joshua, you'll find this establishment very inviting, cozy and fun. Oh yes, the food is fantastic, as they have phenomenal seafood and one of the two best pork chops I have every tasted (I still await the one that tops theirs LOL) and you must try a "Mamie Taylor" cocktail...we've been twice in two weeks and have made a reservation again. You wont be disappointed...

If you want great food, I mean really great food this is the place for you. Yes the ambiance is set for a romantic evening, the service was outstanding with just the right temperament, not overbearing and yet attentive. Clean and sophisticated with the touches of a interior designer and themed appropriately. We had the truffled snow crab appetizer which melted in your mouth with great vibrant taste that was multi-layered, yet not overwhelming, then followed up with sharing the skate and Striped Bass. Both had the same chef produced quality as the snow crab. Simply outstanding. Since it was a birthday they brought us complimentary ice cream that undoubtedly was home made. This is a cannot miss experience. Limited but good wine select

My husband, brother in-law, and I went to Driftwood for the first time on a Wednesday night. It was excellent! We had oysters, crab, and paremesan fries to start which we devoured. My husband and I had the halibut, which was phenomenal. However the real showstopper was my BIL's pork chop. I'm not a big meat eater but this hunk of meat was divine!

We enjoyed our evening at Driftwood and will likely return. The prices are a little high for the quantity of food you receive, but the presentation of each dish is very nice and thoughtful. The menu is very limited and changes often, which can actually make it fun & whimsical. It's a small place both inside and for parking, so I recommend early reservations (6:00 PM). Total cost for dinner for two people with drinks, dessert, and gratuity will run about $125-150.

My husband & I have been several times because the food is very good. For these prices, however, the service is extremely poor. Either the server is friendly, but knows nearly nothing about the menu (our experience at the bar both times) or the server is knowledgeable, but actively exudes anti-charm. Please, Driftwood, we want to return. Please improve your service.

When we first arrived we realized we would be put at the same table for two that we had requested to moved from on a prior visit! Too Noisy! we waited and were given a much better table. The food was all excellent with the exception that my fish was served cold. All the other dishes were hot. When I complained they promptly prepared another piece of fish which was excellent. The manager then served a complimentary dessert with champagne. Great customer service!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Driftwood recently. The food was fantastic. We started with an assortment of raw oysters which were incredibly fresh. We followed that by splitting an heirloom tomato salad which was equally good. That was followed by entrees of skate and salmon which did not disappoint. Both were nicely seasoned and presented. Intense pieces of chocolate cake combined with caramel and popcorn ice cream were a great finish. Having read a few reviews complaining about long waits, slow service and less than friendly wait staff, I wasn't sure what to expect, but we experienced none of that. We were seated immediately. Dinner was well paced. And our server was friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

This was our second time dining at the rest. Food was very good but on this evening the kitchen was extremely slow, so slow that our server felt compelled to bring us two salads as we waited for our entrees. While that is always a nice gesture it does ruin your appetite as it fills you up unnecessarily. Hoping they work out the kinks

I've now eaten at driftwood on 4 occasions and it has never disappointed. The menu changes regularly, which is fun. The seafood is unbelievable, regardless of what you get. I, nor anyone I've taken there, has been anything but impressed by the food. It is on the pricier side. Expect to pay $30-60 per person for food and $50+ for a bottle of wine. The atmosphere is low key, naturally bright, and airy, despite being a fairly small restaurant. Overall, this is one of my new favorites in Dallas and I'd highly recommend it.
