Dressler's Restaurant -Birkdale Village49TH Wedding anniversaryWe celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at Dresselers in Birkdale, Nc. There were 6 in our party. Everyone of us had a wonderful meal. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and just plain good. My favorite drink is a Bloody Mary, very spicy. I rarely get it spicy enough. My drink came out perfect, even the horseradish that most totally forget was in it. It was so good I had 2. I had the caprese salad with the fresh mozarella and a balsamic dressing that was to die for. It was a special that night and it was really special.
Thank you Dresselers for making the Major family's celebration so wonderful.
Next year will be our 50th anniversary and I will say we will be back. Most likely before our anniversary too.

They go out of their way to make their guest feel welcome and special. I ordered the spinach salad to start and salmon with tomato risotto for my entree. My husband got the crab cakes and a side of sautéed spinach. He raves that Dresslers has one of the best crab cakes he has ever had. The spinach salad comes with eggs and bacon and they always let me add tomatoes and goat cheese to it. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the food was temperature hot which is how I like it. I can't stand my food being put in front of me and I bite into it only to learn it is barely warm. The only negative I would say is that our waitress was not attentive. She paid more attention to the tables who were buying drinks. We arrived early (around five) and were seated immediately by the restaurant manager. He talked to us for a few moments, our water was poured, then our waitress came by and began talking about the night's specials. We were promptly served our appetizers, then our salad, then on main courses in a perfect succession of food that was not too quick, but also wasn't slow. We finished the night with a large slice of an unbelievable chocolate cheesecake which tops all cheesecake I have ever eaten. They had already received my reservation. Even though we were 15mins late because of the rain, we were ushered to our table within 5mins. The waiter was nice. The food was very good. Two in our group had filets, one had crabcakes and one had the bone-in ribeye special. All enjoyed their orders. Three had Caesar salads and two of us shared thai calamari, which was unique and good. We all had dessert, but I must say that the special for the night, peanut butter chocolate chip cheesecake was delicious! Probably the best thing of the evening! We were celebrating our daughter's 19th birthday and it was a great night. Our first time there and great experience. A little noisier than I expected & a crowd of girls outside taking pictures of Nick Jonas dining inside was a little distracting. We were in our new car and the valet guy parked a car for a smoker and then got our car and his clothes were covered on ciggerate smoke and it carried to our car.
