  • Good not great this time!

We're a frequent diner at Dragonfire and this time our experience wasn't up to their regular par. While our son has a shellfish allergy (which they're well aware) they isolated us at our own table. The cook was good but seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, the fried rice was far too salty with too much soy sauce and the ventilation was poor. I enjoyed my meal but my wife and son thought it was so-so. We're not giving up though. We generally enjoy coming to Dragonfire.

We had a horrific experience here months ago yet decided to give them a second chance. After two visits they were a consistent low performer. It took a long time for our server to check in with us and we thought he got lost looking for our drinks. Service is consistently slow here; slow to clear plates too long between courses. Almost as if they are understaffed. Meal was ok to good, not a great experience and we are in no hurry to return.

As far as hibachi restaurants go, the food was really good. However, although he wasn't our chef one in particular was extremely noisy so much to the point that we had a hard time hearing each other. The food ws really good despite the noise though.

We weren't sure about the hibachi style, but the food was absolutely awesome! It is noisy at the group tables and it gets smoky but the food makes it definitely worth it! Hard if you want to talk with friends though. Next time we'll book a table away from the grills. The show is great for the first time, chefs have fun and make the most of the group.

We have tried to patronize this new place and its lovely outdoor seating area. It has SO much potential, but without personal attention by the manager and assistant manager, the servers (who are great) cannot make it succeed. it would be sad to see yet another restaurant in this wonderful space close.

The restaurant was beautiful, and the food was good. Our only problem is we've been a bit spoiled, I guess, with extremely good and entertaining habachi chefs. Our chef tonight was good, but not great. His biggest 'trick' was tossing food to people to catch, which I personally do not like.

Because we had a split group - some wanted sushi and some wanted habachi, we decided to sit at a regular table where we could order both. It worked out fine. Staff was attentive. Meals arrived quickly and were excellent. Afterwards, went out to bar for additional drinks. Will go back again.

Extremely noisy restaurant. We had to wait about 10 minutes past our reservation time to be seated even though there were empty seats at several hibachi tables. Once seated, we were given menus but we then waited about 10 minutes to have our drink orders taken, about 10 minutes for drinks to arrive, and another 10 minutes until someone finally took our order. The food was very good when it finally arrived. Don't go to this restaurant if you don't want a leisurely meal.

Staff was very attentive and the food was very well seasoned with great portion sizes. Our cook must have been new he was a little preoccupied with trying to figure out who was getting what, but that did not deter from his cooking skills which was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday that night and we couldn't be happier with the food and the service.

Of all the Hibachi/Japanese restaurants I've ever been to, this one is easily my favorite. From the server to the Hibachi chef to the food, everything was phenomenal. Our server recommended a cold sake (pear, from Oregon) that was absolutely delicious. The Hibachi chef (calling himself Harry....Harry Potter) was highly entertaining and hysterically funny! My wife and I started with a DragonFire sushi roll, and honestly, I could have made a meal out of two or three of them alone. We shared the shrimp/steak and Chilean sea bass hibachi dinners. Both were beyond all expectations. I cannot wait to go back. I really want to try the Robata menu items next time.

We enjoyed our lunch at DragonFire. We had a toddler with us who is a picky eater so it was a little difficult to find something for her. Also with the theatrics of the chef it seemed to scare her so beware if you have a timid toddler. Other than that the food was good.

We went to Dragonfire for my son's 16th birthday. I mde reservations on Open Table, but I don't think the restaurant had it on the paperwork (although they didn't tell us that). We had to wait for about 15-20 min. For a table to clear. It was a long wait for a server, then 3 different people came to ask us for our drink order. Another wait for the chef. The food was excellent. The chef was fun, but I'm not a fan of squirting alcohol from a bottle into guests mouths...especially with my teenage sons there. Not very civilized or classy for a family restaurant. On a side note, the Galleria is repairing major sections of their parking lot. There were NO spots when we arrived ! Very frustrating!
