This was obviously not a good choice for a business lunch. It was hot, and the atmosphere was too casual. This is more of an afternoon happy hour place for the guys. Food was good, but food service was slow.

Crowd was a bit weak, but it was a Thursday night and we were there for Bears vs. Packers instead of a normal Cowboys game. Food was really good and our servers were very attentive even with one being on her first night in training. Again it wasn't that busy and was hoping for a more festive game watching crowd, but the managers were really good about increasing the volume of the game when we asked as well as turning another screen close to us to the Rangers game.

I have enjoyed Draft Picks in the past however this was my first time for a major sporting event )NBA Playoffs and Mayweather fight) and me and ny friends said we will not return. It appeared that you were being nickeled and dimed for everything (parking, entry fee and the drink prices appeared to go up every hour for the exact same drink). I inquired of the desert a la mode and the server informed me that it was 3 scoops of ice cream however I was only brought 1 scoop and when I asked her she said I swore I saw 3 scoops earlier today and shrugged her shoulders, walked off and made me pay full price. I also received a call prior to my reservation informing me that I shouldn't have been able to make a reservation on OpenTable. Annoyed is Me!

  • Its a huge place but there

Its a huge place but there was almost no one there. The building is very difficult to get into, as the door is in the back and you have walk all the way around the huge building, or pay to valet in the empty football field of a parking lot. The waitress was clueless - they have one rotator tap and she had no idea what it was, and did not even attempt to find out. I went up to the bar to find out and the bartender was astoundingly rude. Beer is expensive-$6/bottle. The nachos were edible but not good. The $10 entree salad looked like a $2.99 side salad, and my friend had a burger which he said was the worst he had ever had. We were planning to hang out here until our concert, but instead we went somewhere else. I would not go back.

Overall Draft Picks was a good experience. Although what was on the flyers ended up not being on the menu and our waitress seemed to have no knowledge of anything going on. She took forever and had to go ask about any specials. Environment is perfect for a great time and all in all very nice!!

Went here after a Stars game to watch the Texans play. The service was terrible, couldn't get a drink for ever, the food was average bar fare. I will not return - I don't think that it will last long, definitely not worth the effort to get to.

  • We wanted someplace to go
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 12/31/2011
We wanted someplace to go on New years eve before a hockey game and this place was convienent and was available. so went ahead and gave it a try. The food was really good(loved the sweet potatoe fries) and had a large selection of beers. Looked like it would be a fun place to go and watch a game (or NASCAR race). So we asked for some info and the hostess was very helpful in showing us we could reserve an area if we wanted to and that way we could be sure that we woudl be able to watch what we wanted. So looking forward to trying this place out again.

Located near the AAC and recently opened. Great sports bar to grab dinner before a game. Place gets really packed before a big game. Portions are huge. We ordered chicken pot pie, and Madame croquet. Both were satisfying meals.

  • Our first time...
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 12/2/2011
It was me and wife's first time at Draft Picks and we were pretty impressed with the food. It was a slow night for them considering that this was huge sports bar/grill and we were 1 of maybe 6 couples and 20 people total, but we were good with this considering seating was wide open and the noise level was non-existent. We had the shrimp wontons for and appetizer, my wife had a the BLT (the egg on the sandwich was a pleasant surprise) with onion rings. I had the Philly cheese steak and tator tots. We had the Bannaless banna pudding, which was great for me because I really don't like bannanas! At the we were there, they were having a special on all vodka based drinks, which they allowed to create our own... That was great! We'll be back.

Only opened 5 weeks ago, but the food was freshly prepared and nicely presented. Good selection of beers. This is a great place to watch a game. TVs everywhere with a large projector screen in the middle with a seating pit in front and a bar rail around the outside. Booths and tables were also available. Overall a good experience. Definitely recommend the Bison burger.

We went to Draft Picks for the first time to watch a Rangers game in the World Series. The place was packed and all TVs were on the game and the volume way up - great for hearing the game, but also amplified the volume of the entire place to obnoxious levels. Hard to talk to the person sitting next to you. The food was decent enough bar food, but it took well over an hour after we ordered to get our food. The manager did not comp any of our food or tab and even came out after we paid the bill and decided that we owed for another beer that was not on our initial tab. And the parking situation is awful. If the lot gets "full," the valet won't park your car, but he will charge you $3 and direct you where to self-park. Absolutely absurd.

They definitely water the drinks down. And the pours are very small... Also my card was authorized for a large amount. Twice. They need better standards and more attention to detail, if they plan on charging like they do that.

I rate the Service fair. This was my second visit to Draft Picks, and the waitress just was not very good. I wouldn't say she was awefull on my second visit, but my first visit was much better. My first visit was on a Monday when the Dolphins were playing the Jets, not very busy so the service was good. Second visit was on a Saturday during Game 3 of the World Series and it was slammed packed, I don't expect excellent service all the time from a sports bar but better than fair is a must.

We reserved a table which was good but we reserved for 4 people and they sat us at a booth which was too small for 4 normal size adults. We also asked to see the large screen for the playoff game and we were seated behind a pole that obstructed the view of the large screen. There were poles all around the perimeter that blocked view of the big screen unless you were sitting in the "pit" area which actually had very limited seating. The bison burger was nothing special and small for the money spent and the sweet potato fries were barely warm for $4.00 and small portion. My margarita was very sour and tasted like mix was bad. They tried to fix but couldn't. Not worth money spent. Lots of other places to go.

Good food, good service - even though our food was slow to come. We weren't in a hurry because we were watching games and our server kept updating us on the progress - it was just busy. I wouldn't say it was "great" food or service, but we were there to watch sports and it was perfect for that! We had a large U-shaped booth with 3 flat screens in plain view as well as another right by our booth. Even though we're not fr Dallas, we'd consider going back next time in town.
