The $85.00 pre fixe dinner at Dovetail was very good and showed some creativity. Our waiter was very helpful. However, the hostess who met us at the door (Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.) waw haughty and refused to seat us at the table we requested, even thought that table remained empty during our entire stay. Management needs to hire a hostess that is more congenial and respectful of the customers' requests.

I've eaten at a lot of fine restaurants, but this is the best dinner I have ever had. Though very pricey, the food is very special and this is a beautifully decorated and perfectly lit restaurant. We started with a gin and violet cocktail that was incredible. The garden pea ravioli appetizer was out of this world. Our entrees were the scallops and the duck dishes, which were very special. For dessert we had a deconstructed meyer lemon tart. There are so many servers here that though the service is very good, I can't help thinking that if they reduced the redundant staff, perhaps their prices wouldn't be so high. Also, we ordered a la carte instead of the prix fixe option, which would have cost even more but would have included more courses.

A beautiful meal! After every meal out, my husband and I always discuss the "best bite," and we were unable to decide what we enjoyed the most, as everything was truly delicious. Loved the focus on seasonal ingredients and attention to detail. I must avoid gluten, and when I called ahead before making our reservation, the hostess was so understanding without making me feel like an inconvenience. My meal was beautifully prepared and not lacking in quality or imagination when compared to my husband's gluten-y dishes. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. A real treat for a special occasion.

I had dinner with a group of four on a Monday evening for the vegetarian-inspired menu. Everything was absolutely delicious, our wait staff were fantastic, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Needless to say, we booked our next reservation there after paying the check. Fantastic!!
