Diner Reviews
  • "We've been to Double Napoletana twice now, and both experiences were very good. The food is delicious and the service is knowledgeable, professional and perfectly paced. We love the Butternut Squash Frittelle, (crispy butternut squash fritters) - they are like donut holes of happiness for an appetizer! The desserts are all made in house and we've never been disappointed. Their drinks are "prohibition style" meaning that all of their mixers are made in house so they are fresh and unique. The pizza is thin, crispy and not overly heavy. All of the servings are generous but not huge. We normally end up bringing home something because our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs. It is a little noisy for me but otherwise terrific."

  • "We started with the Pork Belly Risotto - a must! Two pasta dishes, a pizza, and short rib later we were ready for a night out. Highly recommended."

  • "I will preface this review by stating that this is one of my favorite places. The food and service is always outstanding. I think this time around, they failed to properly reserve my table despite the reservation. I brought my fiance and her mother for dinner, and we were looking forward to the great ambience of their dining room, mixed with the food and smells from the pizza oven. When we arrived, they took us to an empty lunch area by the open door where there was someone grilling outside. It was hot, and in the middle of pollen season the last thing we wanted was to sit near an open door. I was a little irked by this, but no big deal. The food was still great, and the service made up for it."

  • "Wonderful food, attentive service. The menu is unique - we enjoyed the pork belly risotto and mussel appetizers and shared the l'rosta - pork. All delicious!"

  • "Our group of 5 started at the bar for a cocktail. The non-adventursome in our group (my wife included) were somewhat dissappointed there were no usual suspect beers (i.e. Bud, Miller Lite) available. I was quite pleased with my Makers Old Fashioned. On to the table for dinner where the group enjoyed the salumi and cheese apetizer plates. Both were very good, but I will say the $30 for the two plates didn't seem quite the value - a bit more salumi and cheese would be nice. Most in the party had a pizza for main course, either The American and the Margherita - all were excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her DZ Chopped Salad and Lamb Meatballs. I had a bite of the meatballs and they were very good. Overall, a nice evening."

  • "My family and I were trying to find a place where we could dine and talk with a friend of ours. I found this place on Yelp and we are all glad we did. The food was superb, the drinks were awesome and we had a wonderful attentive waitress. We will be going back as many timesas we can before leaving GA. That's for sure! !"

  • "The food was excellent. I had the lobster papardelle, pork belly risotto, double zero pizza, arancini, and the tiramisu. The flavors were so excellent in all dishes, and it truly took my palate on an adventure. The risotto was cooked to perfection, and the pork belly added so much flavor to the dish. I also really enjoyed the lobster pasta dish more than I expected to. Overall, the food is delicious and the restaurant had great ambience."

  • "We order salads to start. They were fine. We had to request bread . We order a pasta dish to share for second course, and finally a pizza to share for third course. Waitress wanted to bring pizza and pasta out together. We said "no". We wanted pasta first.s She said that the pizza was ready but would have it remade. We then waited for the pasta dish to come to us. It was quite spicy, but okay. Then when the pizza came, it was obviously kept warm or reheated. It was totally burnt on the bottom. Not at all good. Overall, not a pleasant experience."

  • "I love Double Zero. One time, an item I had been told would be available a specific weekend was not available, and the head chef came out to our table on a busy Saturday night just to apologize, explain the shipment came in late and offer to make us a "variation" of it on the house since we'd come for that explicitly. This past weekend we were there for a long time, drinking wine, eating delicious food, then having dessert AND dessert cocktails. Our server was great and even brought us a champagne toast at the end, on him. DZ has some of the best service I've ever had and also really amazing food. I'm not very experimental with food, but I've tried many things here I've never had and it's always been amazing."

  • "We requested a quiet area in which to sit and were very pleased. The service was friendly and efficient. Salads overdressed with lemon, so much so, I could not taste anything else. Scallops were over cooked. Bolognese was very good except there were too many layers of pasta, creating a huge hunk of solid dough in the center of my dish. The zucchini and pineapple cake was delicious! And I must say that the valet and host staff were extremely friendly and welcoming."

  • "My fifth or sixth time at this restaurant (I live at least an hour's drive away) and it's worth the trip everytime. Staff is great, food is amazing and it's also a great place. Stephanie and Frederico (the owners/managers) are always hospitable and very helpful. Every waiter/waitress we've had has been helpful and accommodating. This was kind of a special occasion dinner for my wife and I and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. ."

  • "I've been here before, but I went on 3/16/14 for a date. We both enjoyed the dinner there. They had a surprise menu with a delicious lamb burger for St. Patrick's Day. I highly recommend going here. Just a warning: Their valet parking lot is much bigger than their self parking. So, you are more than likely going to have to use valet. It's complimentary, just leave a tip."

  • "Our second visit was as good as our first. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. Pizza is the best I've eaten outside of Europe. Other dishes were also intensely flavorful."

  • "We go to Double Zero on average a couple of time a month. It is always dependably good. The pizza and pasta are always good. My only negative comment is some of the dishes are oversalted. On this last visit it was the halibut cheek special, that was beautifully presented and could have been really delicious if it hadn't been oversalted."

  • "Took friends who hadn't ever been. As always, the food was fresh and excellently prepared. The atmosphere was lively and energetic. The wine was perfect. Another great dinner from a place that has never disappointed us!"

  • "I have never been to this spot before. I sat at the bar, waiting for a friend and I asked the bartender what was good. He asked me what my prefrences were and I answered. I like sweet, girly drinks. Another bartender made my drink. He tried to get fancy by burning an orange peel. I don't know that was supposed to because it didn't work. He looks at me and says...... this orange peel is bad and proceeds to place that same rejected peel in my drink. Since I hate confrontation, drank the drink but disliked every minute of it. I thought this place had no hope until my friend showed up and we were seated. The food was amazing!!! I had the vegetarian dish: red quiona and my friend had pizza with the brussle sprout salad."

  • "The menu offerings are unusual, but delicious! The duck confit pizza was fabulous and the amaretto sour the best I've ever had."

  • "We have been to this restaurant five times and always try something different. The menu offers something for everyone. The wait staff is very attentive. Service is excellent. They honor reservations. The interior decor is a bit dramatic with lots of heavy drapes dividing a very large open space. But the fabric does help absorb sound and you can actually have a conversation with your dining partner - so rare these days. The pizza is so good. And the salads are ample enough to share. Can't wait to go back."

  • "... it seems everything went wrong that evening. I went specifically for the lamb cooked on the Big Green Egg. It's on the menu as a regular item. I was told they don't do that all the time and they did not have it that night. We ordered Pizza. 1) Not asked for 2nd choice in wine, they just brought out a glass of something else to the table 2) We didn't get any bread so we asked. They brought out one slice of bread cut in half in a basket. 3) Pizza order apparently didn't make it to the kitchen. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and sausage. It came to the table plain. We were so hungry we didn't send it back. 4) you eat in a big open warehouse setting. Not my preference. The Pizza was pretty good. Not something I'd go back for though."

  • "My first time. We ordered the burrata to share. It was good, but a share for 2, not 3. The entrees where enormous and very delicious. Our table had the pork tenderloin, roast lamb, and pasta with brussel sprouts. The tenderloin was spectacular. The lamb is the highlight of the menu. I enjoyed the pasta, but the amount of sauce reminded me of a friend's comment that 00 is more French than Italian. Dessert! Easily the best cheesecake any of us had tasted. My husband went crazy over the rich chocolate cake (though he wanted a glass of milk to wash down all that lush chocolateyness.) I loved the tiramisu. It was well balanced with the richness of mascarpone and the sharp espresso. Service was as attentive to detail as the food."

  • "This was my second trip to Double Zero, and I'm looking forward to my third. Although I couldn't resist trying the Pizza on this trip, everything I've experienced at Double Zero has been simply excellent, whether one of the small plates, the house cocktails, or desert. On each trip the wait staff has been very helpful with recommendations."

  • "This is our fourth time dining and definitely not our last. We brought some new guest to experience one of our favorite spots. The only thing that was a disappointment was NZ running out of Beef cheek ravioli after my wife talked it up to our guests. Everything else was wonderful, Service was exceptional and our Host, Stephanie, made us feel special even thou, she visited every table."

  • "We were a group of seven celebrating a birthday. The half-order Arrosto appetizer (lamb), which was shared by four in our table, was pronounced outstanding. I am a pizza snob, and was bowled over by their pizza, which was the closest to authentic Italian that I've yet found in Atlanta. My son had a pork tenderloin dish that was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back."

  • "Had never even heard of this place before but I was seeking somewhere nice to take my lady for Valentine's day and ended up here. They have complimentary valet service, which is definitely a plus. The bar is really nice, it was rather crowded so we sat there until our table was ready. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have a rather large selection of non domestic beer. We ended up ordering two of the Neapolitan pizzas which were both REALLY good. They even had a little bar setup with chocolate covered strawberries...not sure if that was for the occasion or whether it was something that they do all of the time. To sum it up she was happy so I was happy, will definitely visit again."
