"Was there for a friend's birthday - the food wasn't bad. Just that we are not used to eating everything spicy. The cocktails we ordered are not our cup of tea either. Overall ok but too loud for us to talk to each other without raising our voices. One thing I dont like is trying to charge us $3/person cake fee for bringing our own cake."

"Walking in to Dosa on Fillmore is like being transported into a warm, spicy heaven filled with the soothing sights, smells and sounds of ginger, curry, potatoes, vegetables, prawns, chicken and mango. My mouth is watering again as I reminisce. This visit was my second, but it has already feels like home. The server was very attentive, as were two sets of neighbors, smiling and advising us on which dishes they liked the most. It was a refreshing change from places where not only the waitstaff, but the patrons are more likely to glare and stare than they are to smile and nudge. Dosa Fillmore is definitely on my list of favorites."

"Go here for the ambiance. The giant entrance door, extravagant light fixtures and Bollywood inspired soundtrack give a great vibe. Also, it is inspired by South India food, which is an exiting difference from the northern Indian food typically served in American"

"I love this place! What a great way to have a unique and excellent meal before going to the movies at the Kabuki Theaters across the street (with reserved seating). It is southern Indian food with a bit of kick in the spice but there are always some less spicy options. I particularly loved the grilled squid (with a sweet, spicy sauce), the duck vindaloo with coconut rice and the seasonal vegetable uttapoms (like dosas, only slightly thicker). Much nicer and easier to get into than the Valencia Street location and it has a vibrant bar scene. Indian food is traditionally shared among everyone at the table."
