  • "Just off State St and near the parking lot, Dos Gringos is easy to find and never disappoints. Imaginative and tasty entrees. Bring your own tequila and they will provide you with any of 3 different margarita pitchers, home made. Looking forward to warmer weather and the return of mojito pitchers too."

  • "We looked forward to our first visit to Dos Gringos. Unfortunately, from the time our chips and salsa arrived at our table, we were disappointed. The chips tasted bland and from a bag. The salsa was the highlight (if there was one) of our experience. Our appetizer was underwhelming, especially since we added crab meat for $3 extra. Our entrees was were just ok without any memorable flavor or ingredient. We found the entire meal to be over-priced and not worth the nearly $50 total (without any alcohol). We are always looking for new Mexican food experiences, and we hoped to add Dos Gringos to our list of regular restaurants. Unfortunately, we have no plans to return for dinner in the future."

  • "I have been to Dos Gringos several times and plan to go again. It is truly a neighborhood gem! Media is a bustling little town and this restaurant adds to the popularity. I usually go with my husband and sons but this time I met a friend. It was her first time and she loved her food. I will not recommend one dish over another because they are all delicious. The service is always appropriately attentive. I would make a reservation on any night because it is cosy and busy. If you like Mexican food, you will not be disappointed. Everything is fresh and made with quality ingredients."

Service is good, food is fresh and interesting takes on traditional dishes--enchiladas were great as was the tilapia--fish dishes are usually well-done and flavorful, and the house-made chips, salsas and guacamole are consistently excellent. It is a small place so it can be a little close and a bit"

  • "This was a really nice place to eat for my a family member's birthday dinner. We had a group of three and we went on their "taco Tuesday" night. The food was really good (the chips & salsa are delicious!) I like that you can mix & match which tacos you want (between the three of us we ordered all their flavors). It was a nice atmosphere and would be a great lunch spot."

  • "When we first moved to Media, there were no Mexican restaurants which was disappointing. Then finally Dos Gringos opened and we are thrilled we now have a go-to Mexican restaurant that exceeds our expectations. The food is always delicious. Their menu has a decent variety but the specials are always exciting. The place is small but it gives a nice cozy feel to the ambiance. The owner and staff are always friendly. We're so glad Dos Gringos made it's home in Media."

Probably not, was just too expensive. Also, I understand you pay for quality and yes the food was good, but I'm sure I could find another mexican place with good food for less."

  • "We love going to Dos Gringos because we always know that the food will be delicious and fresh and the service will be great! The owner (s) is always there to help out when needed after greeting you for your reservation. My husband and I always find something we love. He is an omnivore and I am vegetarian and they will modify certain dishes to your preference whenever possible. For Valentine's Day they offered a 3 course Prix Fix dinner that included a complimentary glass of homemade sangria which was really tasty. Their Margarita pitchers come in different flavors-just bring your own tequila! Lee don't usually do desert but it was included with my husband's dinner. We should've known it would be just as good as everything else on the menu!"

You can bring exactly what you want, have an extraordinary meal, leave a generous tip -- and hardly feel it because the prices are very reasonable.   • "I came back to the area for a visit from the Rockies and my Dad wanted Mexican food. While not authentic, and perhaps with an east coast spin, the food was good to very good. We had enchiladas and they were delicious and were served hot, but not spicy hot. The free table chips came with 4 salsas and we ordered guac which was quite good to excellent. Guac seemed to be fresh, though I don't know if it was home made...still tasty all the same. Help was fairly good and largely attentive. Its not a big place so seating can be close so noise level is dictated by your neighbor(s). Prices are above average for mex. They don't have beer or liquor, but here is an nice Italian place across the street that will see you a six pack for a price."

  • "After dining at Dos Gringos for several years, we have decided we will not be returning. We have always enjoyed the Carne Asada, Empanadas and Queso Fundido, not to mention the delicious Margarita mix. Our past several visits however, have been less that satisfying. The food has become mediocre at best. At our last visit, our steak, which was ordered medium rare, was well done, without a hint of pink. Our kind, efficient waitress noticed immediately and offered a new steak. After waiting over 20 minutes, (and all others in our party had finished eating) the steak arrived practically "mooing" it was so rare. Unfotunately... we will not be returning :("

  • "We loved our first visit to Dos Gringos. We each had a different dish, and were all happy with our choices. I especially enjoyed the fish tacos. Dos Gringos is a very small BYO in a great little town, We dined on a Tuesday night and it was not crowded, but the weekends are busy and reservations aren't always available. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "went for dinner and a number of good options on the menu. Really like the Mahi Mahi dish as well as the St Louis Rib special. The empenada special of pork and pineapple was also very good. You can bring your own beer or liquor as they provide the base margarita mix. The service was spotty and the waitress didnt seem especially interested in our table. good place to go with a beer and enjoy the food."
