  • "Atmosphere: Pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was and I especially liked the decor. On a weeknight, you can find this restaurant filled with people who just got off work. It gets more crowded around 9pm. Server: Very attentive and always came by to make sure we got what we needed. Also got a visit from the manager. Food: We DEVOURED the guacamole. It is so good. They also make it in different flavors if you are feeling adventurous. Get the Asada Taco if you like steak. I really enjoyed the Surf And Turf Taco and would definitely recommend that one. For those Mac n cheese lovers, you have to try the Mac N Chorizo!!! They don't offer happy hour at this location. I would say drinks are pretty pricey (or average for New York)."

Love the fresh salsa verde! Waiter was friendly and accommodating--he put in a takeout order right away for my sister who had to leave on short notice once we sat down."

We took our kids, but it isn't really kid-friendly. They thought the kids' tacos weren't good and it's definitely an adult atmosphere. We would go back if only for the caramel tres leches cake for dessert!"

  • "I went to Dos Caminos twice in one week, once with girlfriends it had been recommended to us based on the Margaritas! I'm so glad to have been the atmosphere is great, it's quite loud but in a fun way I got a really good vibe from all of the staff and diners. The second time I went back with my parents as they were visiting for the weekend and even they said that the music and layout really made it. The food was impeccable on both occasions and although you kind of have to have a Margarita the Mojito is really great too if you're into them! I'd reccommend the Shrimp Quesadillas and the Brisket Enchiladas, both were so filling and really very delicious. The guacamole is made fresh at your table, it is the best I've had!"

  • "I've been to Dos Caminos my last 2 visits to New York City. The margaritas and guacamole are TO DIE! I would consider the menu selection "upscale" Mexican. The food is really amazing and the service is always good. You HAVE to try the cornbread side dish.....SO FREAKING GOOD for those who love cornbread. If you're a Mexican food lover and/or foodie, this place is a MUST!"

  • "I've been to Dos Caminos many times due to its convenient location. Every time I go, the sercvice is abysmal but this time really took the cake. After being seated for our reservation, it took about 30 minutes for a sever to even acknowledge us and anouther 30 minutes to put in a drink order. They brought our guacamole with cilantro when we had specifically ordered it without, so we waited for them to correct that and the waiter FORGOT that we had ordered a main course. So, what we wanted to be an easy dinner out turned into us waiting even longer just to get our food. Won't be going back."

  • "I frequent Dos Caminos usually on Friday's for Lunch or Dinner. This visit was on a Wednesday night and found that the food was not its usual tastiness, the plantains were not ripe and were missing the drizzle of signature white sauce. The empanadas were a bit overcooked and the Prickly Pear Margarita (which is my favorite) tasted extremely bitter as if it was made incorrectly or used different products. I'll give it a 3 star rating for its Wednesday nights but it seems the kitchen and the bartender are better on Fridays."

We started with a guacamole. They ask for your spice level and we requested very spicy. It came rather bland. The fish tacos were okay. The goat dish was rather good. Not sure what happened, but it looks like the food quality has dropped some.. The service was efficient, even the water glasses were refilled in a timely manner."

They have their own DJ who was playing all the latest music and old time tunes that we all love. The food was authentic and tasted very good. this restaurant i casual but also elegant at the same time I had a great experience there. We had to flag down whomever we could to get each part of our lunch ordered. Never saw the same person twice! This made it feel a little like a cafeteria instead of a restaurant."

Our food did not come out as requesed, he forgot to come back for our drink order, and walked past our table 3 times before dropping a simple glass we requested. Then the managers started interviewing people at tables all around us, demolishing the atmosphere. Food was great, but not worth returning to this experience."
