Dos Caminos - Third AvenueSurprising Find on 3rd Ave.My son and I were walking back to our hotel from Central Park and happened to walk past Dos Caminos and saw a busy patio at 5:00 pm...usually a good sign. I noted the name and location and made a reservation from the hotel. The food was fantastic, the guacamole was the best we have ever had the the desserts (usually not great at a Mexican restaurant) were unbelievable. Sitting on the patio on 50th St was a treat - lots to look at. I wasn't late, but my entire party was slightly late and they were still accomodative. It was my friend's birthday and I asked if they could set up a nice dessert and they were more than glad to do so. Service was wonderful, food was amazing, and it wasn't too loud. I started my evening with a Mango Margarita, chips and salsa. Once my party was complete we were shown to our table and our drinks delivered to us. I love the guacamole that I make, it's gotten plenty of AAAA's but the one at Dos Caminos is awesome! We, my cousins and I were there to remissness about close members that had recently passed and enjoy each others company which we all needed, we are very very close, well, it was great for our spirit to be there. We laughed, cried and had good food, drinks and service. So thank you for making our special evening, more special.
