  • "I've worked across the stree from Dos Caminos for years and finally had lunch here. Overall, they have a very intresting menu and I think I just ordered the wrong thing - the waiter represented the veggie quesadilla's were something special but in fact, they were skimpy on the veggies and didn't have much character."

  • "Mediocre food, rushed service, not cheap. The staff pushes you to get guacamole and margaritas, which are average and overpriced, so you wouldn't care about the food. It mostly works. But the location is trendy, the DJ good, and the mood festive."

  • "A big place, but surprisingly not too loud, even though it was crowded. Overall, the food was very good -- clearly made with fresh ingredients. A couple of the dishes were way too spicy, with no indication on the menu, and when the waiter came by to ask how our meals were, I told him that one of the dishes was quite spicy, she acknowledged that they'd recently changed the recipe. But that was it. I think I should have perhaps had the option to exchange it? But whatever. Overall, fun place. A bit slow, but not annoyingly."

  • "We had dinner at Dos Caminos for our friends' 30th birthdays. I made the reservation and had only written down one birthday candle request. My husband and I arrived early and we were able to add the second candle request without a problem. They seated us even though our whole party was not there, which was very nice of them (even though we were willing to wait). Our waiter was fantastic. He suggested my husband try a tequila that is aged in Jack Daniels barrels (my husband loves Jack), and my husband now has a new drink! The food was excellent! All plates were cleared! Definitely recommend this restaurant!"

  • "When we arrived we were seated at a "squished in" table even though there were plenty of other open tables. (And we did have a reservation mind you!) The hostess did move us at our request. We ordered an appetizer and within a few minutes our main course was thrown at us. We were not even finished with the appetizer at that point. The waitress, who was the only bright spot to the experience, did offer to send our dinners back to the kitchen but the damage was already done. The food was absolutely terrible. I had the chicken tacos which were rubbery and tasteless and my bf's dinner was way too spicy and smothered in mole sauce. As I said above, the waitress was wonderful everything else was terrible......we will never go back!!"

  • "Its been a while where I was in love with everything about a restaurant but this place has it all. Hospitable host and waiters, great food, reasonable prices and wonderful drinks! Ask for Kevin if possible, he was our waiter and had a good knowledge on the food and had good recommendations. The ambiance was also noteworthy - especially if you're there in the evening with their unique light fixtures and candles on every table."

  • "My boyfriend loves Spanish food, so decided this would be a great place to take him for his birthday dinner. They sat us at a romantic corner booth and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. We ordered margaritas which were not watered down (always a plus) along with guacamole for an appetizer. The guacamole is outstanding! It tastes just like its homemade. Our dinner was delicious and at the end of the night the bill was at a great price. I would definitely come back here for another special occasion."

  • "It seemed to me like they were spending more focus on the music than anything else. The hostess could not handle the crowd at the door and didn't give much priority to people with reservations. It seemed like Happy Hour drew a big crowd but the restaurant wasn't even that crowded before we sat down. The food was fine. I wish there was a little more attention to making the dishes creative or unique. The rice and beans for the table was mostly beans and not very warm."

The surf and turf special had a few pieces of dry lobster, basically turf without the surf. Salmon special was not good. Salad good. Decor and restrooms are beat up, needs an overhaul."

  • "We arrived 15 mins before time to see 4 booths empty. The hostess proceeded to set us up at a table far back. On requesting we be seated in one of the booths, she declined, saying (all 4 of them) were 'reserved' by people who 'should be walking in anytime now'. Well, we made reservations too, and we were there- but they won't seat us because we didn't request booths specially. We weren't asked if there was an option to choose- so we didn't specify! Anyway, we actually stood and waited to be seated for about 15 mins past our reservation time! We made another reservation at 8:15 requesting booths, but the manager told us that might not be honored b/c of 'availability'. Let me remind you there were still 3 open! The people never showed up btw."

When we checked-in, we loved the ambience of the place. Big and nicely lit up with the lovely wooden lanterns, it was just the place I had in mind. The hostess was very sweet and friendly. Food was great. I'm a vegetarian and my choices are usually limited, but the tacos here are to kill for. This will be my go-to Mexican spot in NYC now:) Then, we ordered dessert and I was worried that they may not bring the candle..but they did!!!:)) it was a little surprise for my husband and it brought that million dollar smile on his face:) Love this place!"

From the dj to the tables of patrons trying to talk over the music it made conversation almost impossible. The bar service was slow. I ordered a second drink before my entree which only came once I had finished. We couldn't get out of there fast enough."

  • "Delicious food. Small portions for brunch (I wasn't full but at least I had room for dessert.) Surprisingly wasn't packed for Mother's Day brunch. We were the better dressed family also (too many casual shorts and t-shirts for outings with mom). Only complaint/observation: the complimentary brunch drinks were definitely weaker than the second round of paid drinks. Of course we customers notice. Overall: Good. Would go back to see what dinner and night scene is like."
