I had ordered food to bring home for my boyfriend and when I arrived home I realized they didn't give me half the food I paid for....I called the restaurant and they told me they would call me back to reimburse me...   • "Nothing bad to say. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and gave good recommendations. Food is VERY overpriced -- it was good but not great. Portion sizes are nice. Ambiance is okay -- it's rowdy but it's a big restaurant so that's to be expected. Margaritas are expensive but surprisingly strong. We had 5 people for a birthday party and had a $300 bill. So not the most expensive in NYC, but also not the cheapest."

  • "Our server was very good - after asking about my tequila preferences, he recommended George Clooney's casamigos. It was fantastic! His other suggestions were very helpful as well & we really appreciated the complementary anejo flight - interesting for tequila lovers & non lovers alike. Overall the ambiance was boisterous but not obnoxious. Low lighting. Lots of bachelorette & girls nights seemed to be going on. Seems like a spot better suited for a group than a date night."

  • "Unfortunately my experience as Dos Caminos was disappointing. Service was incredibly slow, the food was unimpressive & poorly executed. We weren't approached for over 10 minutes. We flagged down a hostess to find our server; she was the woman with her back to the room leaning against the bar. The Carne Asada tacos were prepared as: (1) had 4-5 small strips of meat, and a giant glob of guac. (2) had a medium amount of meat, and normal guac. (3) had a pile of meat, and no guac. ?? The meal was largely flavorless. My take-away is that this venue has only survived based on its location. There's a world of flavor and ingredients out there. Quit trying to scrape by with the bare minimum."

  • "Made reservations for 11 and had no problems at all. Staff was all upbeat, music was high energy and the atmosphere was fun, fun, fun. It was clear that staff was very busy, given the Gay Pride activities going on outside - but despite that, the mood was good. Food was a bit warm (not hot), but our entire party understood that the kitchen was also on over-drive. Great drinks. Server was busy, yet always there for us... Thanks!"

  • "So after my last horrific experience, I decided to give this place another shot. Besides, I love the indoor seating and great brunch. So, I scheduled my Birthday Brunch for 8 and it was a SUCCESS!! My new server Dee was awesome. And two of my former waiters (Emily and Chris) recognized me and made a point of wishing me Happy Birthday. The hostess Ana was so sweet too!! Everyone was so friendly and made me feel like they were family. Great JOB!! I will definitely be back!! I wish it was my birthday again this weekend!!"

The slight miscommunication between the hosts regarding our pre-booking was quickly resolved and we were seated as requested. The hostess was a cheerful and friendly lady who brought our drinks almost instantly! The food was great and the service, excellent. I thought the bar area was quite vibrant with lot of guests talking n laughing loudly, must try that the next time!"

  • "For anyone wanting to eat outside - OpenTable reservations are only for indoor seating. The margaritas were great! Although when asking what was organic about the organic margarita the waitperson said it had agave syrup which is low calorie...huh? The waiter forgot to put in our order for guacamole and we couldn't find him until after our entrees arrived. They canceled the order and offered us dessert long after we had asked for the check. The ambiance is OK, just my taste but bumping house music in a mexican restaurant in the middle of a lazy sunny day didn't fit the mood of the area."

  • "It was a busy Sunday and we waited for about 1/2 hour for a seat outside despite making a reservation (I didn't know there was outdoor seating and didn't specify in the reservation). Our waiter seemed to have tables both inside and outside, but still was very attentive. The food was excellent. Everything from the made to order guac to the carne asada, the chicken tacos, veggie quesadillas (everything we ordered we kind of shared since everything was so good). Topped off with the prickly pear shots which were very refreshing. Not a lot of room for chair space but it is NYC and space is limited. Other than that, very delighted with our dining experience."

  • "The food was delish!! The Tuna and the Snapper appetizers were awesome, ditto on the guacamole! (We stuck with the traditional one). For dinner the Salmon in Avocado Pipian was great, although I didn't care for the grilled oyster mushroom it came with. We sat outside which is the way to go especially if you like to people watch. It was a little chilly that night & all the heaters were with the high tables for 2 by the entrance, would be nice if they scattered a few where the larger party tables were. Do not leave without having one of their margaritas, they were the BEST!!!!"

  • "I went with a group of friends for Sunday brunch and it was fantastic. The entrees for brunch were extremely reasonable (about $14) and included the meal, one alcoholic drink, and either tea or coffee. I had the eggs Benedict with a jalapeño and cheddar biscuit and it was delicious! The service was good; our food and drinks came out quickly and we were able to stay and hang out after we paid for our meal. We'll definitely be going back to dos caminos for another Sunday funday brunch!"
