Diner Reviews
  • "I dined with 2 other people and we all had the same experience. The portions were small and the price did not justify the dining experience"

  • "We always visit Dos Caminos every year at the start of the Summer season "down the shore". Always good food, great margaritas. Good Mexican food, neat view. Be prepared, can get very loud when groups are present whihc is most times."

  • "Food was not what I thought it would be. WE left hungry. Too expensive for the quality. Wont be back but great views of the bay."
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "Everything was very good but it's gotten a lot more expensive than I remembered, $84 for two including tax & tip, and we shared an appetizer and entrée!"

  • "The GM of this restaurant should be embarrassed by the portion size of the meals. They were small and overpriced. We literally had to stop by Philly Pretzel Factory in the food court after our meal cause we were still hungry after our meal. Our waitress were terrible. She was disingenuous, unavailable, and forgetful. I've been out to eat several time in Atlantic City and it was by far and away the worst meal I have ever had in the city."

  • "Was pleasantly surprised to find out Happy Hour lasts until 10 pm on Wednesday nights. The marguaritas are $5 and there are delicious apps as well. The wings were excellent, tacos and quesadillas also great!I would reccomend the pricly pear marguaritas! Fun, vibrant crowd. The bartender was very friendly and attentive"

  • "I went to the restaurant as a part of my birthday celebration and immediately felt like I was in the right place. The mood was jovial and the specials at the bar were just what I needed ($3 tequila shots were AWESOME). By the time we made it to our table, we were feeling the effects of our shots and were greeted by our waiter, Manny. He took our orders promptly and then brough out the freshly made chips and salsa. They were AMAZING! We had three choices, each of which were perfect in their own right. The chips were warm and crispy. Our entrees were perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of food. I don't remember what I ordered but it was like a shrimp w/ risotto skillet dish. It came with slaw and refried beans. Overall A++"

  • "great options for group dinners. however, or prearranged plan for unique dietary needs (dairy allergy and vegetarian diet) were not met in accordance to the plan. plenty of food was provided, it was just difficult for the people in our group with dietary restrictions to enjoy their dinner as the others were."

  • "We went with 16 people for my wife's 40th. It was awesome. Food came out in droves."

  • "The food and service was great. The tables are much too close together makes it hard to get in and out of your seat. also difficult to just walk between the table to get too and from the table. The lighting in the restaurant is horrible. almost non existent. If you are eating while the sun is still up and are lucky to secure a window seat you are fine. but once the sun goes down very poor lighting. The bar was so dark."

  • "Food was decent. Service was just ok. Waitress didn't Bring out sides that came with meal and charged us when we ordered more sides."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "We all ordered tacos - which claimed to have come with rice and beans as a side. Well - for 4 people ordering tacos, it only came with a very small bowl. Like a single server bowl for one person. Definitely disappointing."

  • "Great place for evening out with friends, especially when the kiddies are home. The food is ridiculously good. The Sangria wasn't the best, but overall experience was truly wonderful. I didn't really see kids there, but I'd love to be able to come back if they were with me, and not worry about whether I could do that."

  • "Had a party of 10. They called me 2 times before my reservation to confirm and I called once to check on a birthday cake. When I arrived, on time, I was asked to wait a few minutes. My party was seated at a table for 14 in what was the darkest part of the restaurant. You couldn't tell what any of the food looked like. It did taste good. Since I had a party larger than 8 I HAD to choose one of the pre fix menus at $32 or $39. I chose the $39 menu. No one gets menus, they just bring out food. They serve the items family style. No serving utensils. We had to ask for a description of what some of the items were since no one gets a menu. The waiter drops off the dish and says this is Salmon. You do get enough food and it was tasty."

  • "This is my second time at dos caminos. The first time was lousy as well but after 3 years i decided to give it another chance. I will say the fresh guacomole is outstanding...thats about it! Slow service lousy food! The food runner and busboys stand around chit chatting amongt themselves while the bad attitude servers rush you through your meal...not that you want to finish it!!- Unless you go for guacomole & margaritas i wouldnt recommend it!"

  • "Mom and I went here before the Michael Bolton show. We were very happy with the food and service. Guacamole and chips, beef/shrimp tacos and my chicken dish with avocado/heirloom tomato salad were all excellent. Also enjoyed the lychee margarita. We had 2 different rice dishes that were not as impressive. I paid with a credit card that included the tip. I just saw my statement and noticed that the tip was not included. Feel badly about that because our server did a great job. Definitely recommend Dos Caminos."

  • "You can never go wrong at Dos Caminos. The food was outstanding which only rivals the service that you get from the staff there. Everyone is always so willing to do whatever they can to make your evening really memorable. A real must for some authentic Mexican food. You won't ever be disappointed."

  • "The food was fantastic and the service was great! The only thing I could complain about is that it was a little hard to hear the waitress with so much noise. It was not too loud while eating, just a little hard to hear with such a big group. Im sure if it was a smaller party then it would be easier to hear. But our waitress was amazing, she got us everything we needed and did it in a timely manner. I will be back again!"

  • "Me and my boyfriend were staying at harrahs and decided to have dinner here because of everyone's great reviews. We were very satisfied !! We were seated right away everyone was very friendly. We were sat in a booth that was a little dark, with out even asking the waitress brought over a candle for some light. Food was great, the one thing that we didn't like was the size of the tacos too small. Definitely will be returning !!!"

  • "We were never given our apppittizer the drinks took about 25 mins. Our food came out as our drinks arrived. We asked for sour cream and it took another 20 mins just to get that. They did give us a free shooter but when the check came we were charged for stuff we never got. The food was great the service just so happened to be horrible."

  • "A friend and myself considered places to eat for our three day trip. We had a show at Harrah's that evening so my friend selected Dos Caminoes. The salad was very different and a pleasant discovery and the chicken quesadillas, one of my favorite dishes was very good, although I was surprised by the hotness of the sauce. Good, but I had to make an adjustment on the amount I put on. The dessert was thankfully light and easy for me to finish. I would definitely return. Thank you very much."

  • "My husband and I were given a non-chalant greeting as though our reservation was not important. It was so crowded that you had no choice but to bump into other seated patrons. We were placed at a corner table and felt very uncomfortable being crammed into the corner. The whole air was filled with smoke, the lighting was very dark and it was very loud. We chose the restaurant hoping for a nice quiet dinner. By the time the waiter came to the table, my husband and I decided to eat elsewhere considering all of these things. We had not even been offered water"

  • "The food here was great. We really enjoy the crab meat guac."

  • "The view was great and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The salsas provided were excellent as were the margaritas. The guacamole, while incredibly fresh, was lacking in flavor. It mainly tasted like avocado, and seemed to be missing salt, lime, and garlic. Dinner was good but different from what was expected. Overall, really great experience though."

  • "All of the food we had at the table was awesome! Our waitress was great, super friendly & attentive. I had a standard margarita on the rocks and I could have had about 84 more they were soooo good! Definitely worth checking out, it's casual enough you could just pop in, but it's also fancy enough for date night or a celebration. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in town."

  • "Such good food I'll definitely be back again!! Service was excellent-you can tell the employees are trained to communicate well with diners."

  • "Food was great! Took a bit to get our dinners but we had plenty of chips, salsa and guacamole to hold us over. Not only is the food excellent, the prices are very reasonable."

  • "I love the design when food is served. The taste will make you want to come back tomorrow. I gave it a four star only because I order the quesadilla this time and it wasn't my favorite- but is was really good. We also had the sirloin taco...it had a fancy name, sorry can't remember and this was excellent! The spicy margarita using the El Tanteo is outrageous!!"
