Dore - MiamiBig DisappointmentMy husband had fried shrimp, tuna carpaccio, steak tartare, and scallopceviche for appetizers. We shared a spaghettini with tomatoes, nicoise olives, basil pistou, and parmesan for our main. All were terrific.
After we arrived, we learned that 75% of the previous menu had been deleted and we were unable to have the oysters we had anticipated, nor the frisee salad nor the seafood tagilatelle. Our meal was very good, but not what we had looked forward to. We learned that they are closing after tonight until September or October.
Big disappointment! Some of the service staff can actually speak French, which makes it more authentic. Surprisingly when we arrived the place was empty, only one table was taken, so we could chose our place.
The lady at the entrance was very friendly and even came back to offer us a glass of champagne after she saw in the reservation that it was our anniversary.
We had the chicken satay and the salmon croque-monsieur as tapas, followed by the filet mignon and risotto as main course. The food was very good, the meat could have been a bit more cooked for "medium".
We had a Belle Hélène (pear with chocolate) as dessert, it was excellent and they even put a little text saying Happy 2nd Anniversary on it, which I found extremely attentive.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExelent service, food andExelent service, food and ambience.
