I could not believe that I had a glass of wine, a flavorful salad, a nice sized entree and a delicious dessert all for the low price of $19.50. Plus, there was loads of bread that was served hot with plenty of olive oil and butter. My friends and I were so pleasantly surprised. Our meal made our theatre outing even more pleasurable.

Service was excellent; our meal arrived within 15 minutes of our arrival. The veal Osso bocco was wonderful. Tender and delicious. Even with the very rich chocolate mousse cake and mixed berry tart for dessert we were finished within the hour. Plenty of time to walk over to the theater. This time we ran into trouble getting into the city. I was with two friends and our train was late. We didn't get to the restaurant until 7:00 and we had a play three blocks away at 7:30. We arrived and told the waiter our predicament and that we were willing to have an appetizer if that is all they could get ready. He suggested a few pasta dishes and had them out in no time. We ate and left and got to t he theatre on time. My friends were quite impressed with the entire operation. And I was thankful.
We won't try that again, but it was nice to know that it was possible. The gnocchi practically melted in my mouth, and the carbonara was tender and flavorful. Italian is my favorite type of food, and this restaurant is cleanly at the top of my list of favorites. The location is perfect for someone who wants to walk to a Broadway show after their meal, and the food arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered! It's also romantic with the ambiance, and served as a perfect set-up before I proposed to my fiance.
