While they are normally extremely friendly to this celiac girl's dietary restrictions, it's worth noting that they are NOT gluten-free friendly on the weekends b/c they fry churros in the morning for brunch and don't change the oil for the evening service. I love Xolo, and my experiences there made me want to try the mother ship. The food was delicious- much like the food I experienced in the Yukatan. Very fresh and not your typical Tex Mex. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. My husband and I were so tempted by the entrees that we decided to order three and take whatever we couldn't eat home with us! The carnitas are lean but surprisingly flavorful. Spooning them into a recently-made corn tortilla along with some beans was fabulous. The chile rellenos are made with very fresh poblano chiles, and stuffed with fresh peas and creamy cheese. Sounds a bit unusual but a melding of flavors that blended together beautifully. None of that deep fried relleno that you often get at many place.
