It is thought to be the largest collection of sports memorabilia west of the Mississippi. It includes literally hundreds of autographed bats, balls, jerseys, and photos from athletes of past and present. It is not unusual to see celebrity players from every sport dining at the restaurant. Hershey. Request Hershey. He is by far the most entertaining waiter I've ever had. Don and Charlie's is always good with food and my wife and I even had our rehearsal dinner there, but one time my wife and I were treated like children when eating there on an anniversary and stopped going until this past week with a coupon. Hershey ( by the way, sorry if it's misspelled) was fun, professional, friendly, and practically psychic with timing for food. We have another coupon and we're planning on heading back in just a few weeks. Don, Charlie, don't let go of Hershey ( if that's how he spells it) and keep those ribs the same!

I was visiting Phoenix to see the Giants play the Diamondbacks since my 16 year old son is one of the BIGGEST Giants/sports fanatics I know. My colleague recommended that I have dinner at Don and Charlie's since they have a huge collection of sports memorabilia that my son was sure to love. My son was mesmerized by the collection of memorabilia and LOVED the baby back ribs. Given that this trip was completely about him I would say that our visit to Don and Charlie's was a hit. I also enjoyed the ribs myself and the free calamari appetizer we received for being first time customers. I would definitely recommend this place to any sports lover.

The food is always good at Don and Charlie's. The experience used to be better when they offered the complimentary chopped liver appetizer and the drinks were more generous. They always honor reservations and the employees are friendly and accomodating. It would probably rate a 5 if they poured a better drink and went back to the welcoming appetizer at dinner.

Don & Charlies has certainly gone down hill. The ribs are just OK. It is tired looking and just fair. There are so many more places to go of good quality in Scottsdale. It is very popular because it has been around for a long time, and has great sports memorabilia, but the food is not that good.
